This place is bomb - friendliest staff in OBX, delicious food, cute interior - what more could you ask for?! Bagel options are extensive and everything is fresh and made well!

Yes, yes, yes! This is the place to go! The bloody Mary's and special cocktails are absolutely amazing. I love that the owners are a local family and the kids help out as well. The bagels are high-quality and the sandwiches have never disappointed.

Everything about this place is 5/5, especially as they've moved and expanded their location in the past few years. Parking is much easier as they have an additional lot in the back so you don't deal with the main traffic. They have a dining in option or take out option. I think in the past, we used to be able to order take out and eat at a table if it was free but they're now reserved for people who opt to dine in. I always get the hangover bagel, subbing bacon for sausage! Even tho I get it to go, it stays warm and yummy!

Small spot with the option to dine in or take your food to go. I found it on TikTok and expected more of a cozy coffee shop vibe, but it felt a bit chaotic inside. If you're looking for a chill breakfast spot, this might not be the best fit. That said, the staff was super friendly and helpful! Coffee lovers this probably isn't your place. I'm a bit bougie about coffee, so I played it safe and ordered an iced tea instead. My boyfriend got The Delbert, and I built my own sandwich. He thought the Asiago bagel lacked flavor, but I really liked the jalapeño cheddar bagel with jalapeño cream cheese super tasty! We ended up taking home a half dozen bagels and two cream cheeses to try later.

Great breakfast! I was able to modify to my needs which always earns extra poor a with me! Tasty and good bagel per my NY hubs - it's not NY but very good! Cream cheese was flavorful and perfect add to my eggwhites! And bonus they had peppermint tea!

Bar serves alcohol beverages (unusual for a bagel place)

Our greeter and waitress were very friendly. The service is prompt. The atmosphere is eclectic with a beach feel that includes local artists' beach paintings on display (and for sale). This is the only bagel place I have encountered that has a bar and serves alcoholic beverages! The bagels are large with generous spread of cream cheese, the iced tea is good, and the coffee is so-so. But the attentive waitress offered refills! I graded down one point because: 1. The bagels and toppings are a bit expensive. 2. For those accustomed to NYC bagels, these are not "the real thing". They have a bread consistency instead of the chewy interior and crunchy exterior of a New York bagel. Never-the-less, my wife and I enjoyed our bagel breakfast, and we would eat here again.

We went here for a quick breakfast/brunch before hitting the road. Very nice place and chill employees. We sat at the bar and es assisted by Allie. We ordered water and coffees. Coffee was hot and fresh. Very good to start the morning. Our first menu item we ordered was The Delbert. This bagel had a bagel, sausage, bacon, Canadian bacon and a fried egg on and everything bagel. It was hot, very fulfilling and came with a side of home fries. Next menu item was a banana foster French toast, which was on their special menu. I really liked that day made the bananas a candied fry before adding them to the French toast. Very delicious and I ate the whole plate even when my stomach became full. I had that with the side of fresh fruit which included strawberries, grapes blackberries, blueberries. And I also had it with the side of sausage patties. Very delicious. Finished it off with a to go order of a bacon, egg and cheese rosemary bagel. Overall great food great service nice spot

If you're looking for the perfect spot to hang out with friends, enjoy some killer food, and soak in the beach vibes, this bagel location is a must-visit. From the moment you step in, you're greeted with a laid-back yet welcoming atmosphere. The service here is top-notch friendly, quick, and genuinely welcoming, making the whole experience amazing. The bagels are a hit. The ability to build your own bagel is great that way you can choose from the protein and toppings as well as spreads they offer a wide variety! And don't even get me started on the pumpkin banana chocolate chip muffins they serve up! They're a perfect balance of sweetness that comes from the ripe bananas, and seriously, they're the kind of treat you'll crave for weeks! (making you want to come back) Whether you're chilling with a coffee and muffin or diving into a savory biscuit sandwich, this place has the kind of easy-going energy that makes it perfect for long brunch sessions with friends. It's the kind of spot you want to keep coming back to good food, great service, and a fun, relaxed vibe. If you're nearby don't miss it!

We did a pickup order and it was ready in no time! We've been here a couple times and it is always packed for good reason! This place is delicious and has so many different options.

Best bagels at the beach. We make a stop here every time we're here to grab a breakfast sandwich and a few loose bagels. 10/10

Coffee Shop No. 410 Outer Bean…read moreKitty Hawk, NC September 5, 2024 If there is one thing I have learned over the last two in and a half years it's that a genuine smile and a warm greeting goes a really long way. It can transform an ordinary drink into something special. It makes the magic of coffee last throughout the entire day. I was immediately welcomed when I walked into the Outer Bean. Initially, I was bummed because cortados were not on the menu. I asked the barista if she would try to make one. She said sure. I gave her general directions and she walked to the espresso machine. A couple of minutes later she handed me a cup with two shots of espresso and a stainless steel pitcher with steamed milk. The barista said, "Why don't you add the milk in so you get it just the way you want." I thought this was a thoughtful gesture. I thanked her and made my cortado. We chatted a bit. It turned out she is Thai and my husband is Thai; and I love to talk about Thailand. I took a few pictures. We exchanged goodbyes and I exited the cafe with a genuine smile and a very positive impression of the Outer Bean. Smiles are free and they can elevate and/or improve any situation. Plus, folks always look better when they smile. I hope you make this world a better place by sharing your smile with someone today. Thank you to the barista at Outer Bean who shared her smile and made my day brighter. Enjoying life one cortado at a time!

It got the job done as I enjoy one cup a day and was a bit behind schedule. The place is small, but perfect for a coffee shop where take out is mostly occurring.

Our service was great. But the food, sub par. Soft drinks were "odd" for lack of better word. So I returned it for a beer cause, why not. Sweet tea was so sweet that we had to dilute it with water. We can handle that. The food would have been great, had they used ANY SEASONING at all. Everything tasted as tho the kitchen lost all S&P privileges. I had the prime rib w/ au jus. Meat was tender and onions cooked nicely. But it definitely didn't match the description which was something like "on a hoagie bun topped with garlic and butter." It was not. Which would have really helped carry the no seasoning deal. Au jus, had great potential, just no flavor. I ended up eating the meat alone and left the bread. Wife got the Reuben. Which was overall ok. Much more flavor than mine. But only bc of the sauerkraut. Oldest daughter got the BYO burger, with cheese and pickle. The burger was clearly a frozen patty from the store. As clearly defined by the shape of the patty. She ate half and the other half sits in the fridge as I type, from 2 nights ago. (I usually eat all the leftovers) I leave this review in hopes that the management and kitchen staff will start to properly season their food. Arts has great potential. But not without seasoning!
