Unfortunately, he wasn't thrilled with our stay here, and now swears, "never again!" - I'm more easy going so I wasn't super bothered by all the issues, although overall, I find that this place isn't really worth the money and other than the location, there's way better options around the area. Main problems we encountered... - No coffee maker in the room. - AC unit didn't look ancient, but for some reason was super loud. Now if I was by myself, I wouldn't care because I wouldn't be using AC, lol - the windows do open here. But yeah this one made loud clanking sounds - Boyfriend claims it "shook the whole room" when it came on, but I think he's being dramatic... anyway. - TV in room is pretty small and impossible to cast anything or plug in whatever Apple TV or what he usually brings to watch Netflix. It has local channels, but not as many as we get in the Littleton hotel and reception is really bad. - This was our second stay here. Last time we were on the top floor (room 333). This time we got placed directly under, in room 233 - and we could hear our upstairs neighbors walking around as if they were wearing lead shoes. - Lots of families here. Bethlehem is very popular with Hasidic Jewish families and I would say 75% of the guests at this hotel this weekend, were Hasidic - which is not the issue, Boyfriend is Jewish himself - but I don't know if it's a cultural thing or what - these families - a very large group - were in the lobby *all day*. They were there when checked in at 3 - they were still there when we came back from dinner at 9pm. Kids running around, screaming, playing with toys, playing hide and seek, tag or whatever... I felt bad for the girl at reception! It was a bit overwhelming. - Receptionist spend a while explaining to me about the breakfast included, which isn't hot anymore, just muffins etc, on the go stuff or something. Tbh we weren't going to risk the breakfast area anyway, too crowded. - Rooms look good in photos, but not that great in person. Very basic, IKEA looking furniture. Everything wonky. *Except* for the bathrooms - nicely renovated and very clean. And I love the little toiletries instead of the refillable pumps we now find everywhere! So anyway. I don't know if we'll be back. We first stayed here in April 2025 and had gotten a super rate - I think we paid $110 for a night back then. At that price, I'd go back. For the US$250 we paid this weekend - bleh. Some positive... loved the outdoor area off the lobby (for some reason the kids never went out! So we had the whole space for ourselves:). Super location, very walkable to go around Bethlehem, and right across the street from a must-try restaurant! And the fireplaces outside and in the lobby are very nice and unique.

From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed like family by the sweetest couple who clearly pour their hearts into every detail. Seems like they are genuinely trying trying with customer service, but this condo Wasn't ready for guests. Here's why: in addition to the grill not working, due to lack of cleaning and maintenance. The biggest issue is The windows were mostly inoperable and are broken , rotten, and without screens. Because of this, the upper bed rooms got extremely hot during the day with no effective way to cool them bc the windows don't work. And the ones that do you can't open without allowing bugs in bc there are no screens. Also, Similar to the dirty stained couches and basket that smells like urine, (but without the visible stains) the window treatments, bed covers, and blankets in most of the beds feel dusty and unclean like large pets were sleeping on them and feel itchy for the guests. Also, the air hockey discs are too large for the game and fan is weak, so it doesn't work properly. The offer to do a follow up clean of couches was appreciated but would've been too disruptive with 10 people already staying there and a couple elderly ones staying for the entire day in the condo.

They cleaned my room the next day. They have bigger units with kitchenettes as well as a jacuzzi suite. The owners have been running this place for 35 years and have a lovely dog. This place has manicured grounds and flowers so wonderful you can smell them the second you step outside. They have a play area for kids, horse shoe toss, a volleyball net, walking trails, BBQ, fire pit, picnic area (the last 3 overlook a river which you can swim in. The river was low when I was here but I still went in and when I sat down it was chest height.) They also have a screened in area with a picnic table if it happens to be buggy. Plenty of outdoor seating. Bring your own fire wood. Also, bring your own firewood if you book a room with a fireplace. They don't sell it here anymore, but you can buy it down the road at Fosters. I did & it wasn't a hassle at all. You can hear the river from your room and it's so relaxing. I can't stress enough how much of a difference not being on the main road makes. The serenity of the Seven Dwarfs really made this trip. Their website says they offer a breakfast, but the owner said they no longer do that (like they no longer have fire wood here) because it's just he & his wife running the place and he's getting older and has to work nights. When I heard him say that, I really wasn't disappointed at all. I mean, stuff like having to drive down the road for food might seem like an inconvenience to some people, but you're staying in northern NH. Part of the draw is the down to earth community. If you want to stay in some bourgeoisie hotel chain, maybe the Twin Mountains area isn't for you. Anyways, there are many other places to eat for cheap around here, and my room had a fridge. You can always stay in a unit with a kitchenette if you want to make yourself food Like another user said, the theme is cute and kitsch without going overboard. This motel isn't cabin style, but I had neighbors on either side of me and I couldn't hear them at all. It felt secluded and very cosy. A short walk down a wooded path leads you to a beautiful river front and BBQ area. There is a screened in picnic area here as well. Great for just hanging by the river and then heading back to the room. The free range chickens running around kept my daughter busy for a few hours. The room was large and the bed was comfortable. It's dated. Very dated , but like I said it's 76 bucks for the night. It wast dirty, just old. I cooked lunch in the kitchen and the full size fridge was key. My only complaint was the room was a little smelly. I can do old, but not smelly. Time to replace carpets and a few other upgrades to get people coming back. Overall. My daughter had a blast, running around the huge yard, swinging on the horse swing, and playing in the river. Peaceful, quiet and cheap. I enjoyed it, if the room didn't smell I'd bring my family back for sure.

But this resort, the staff went all out and was…read moreso friendly, personable and approachable that I felt compelled to write a review to acknowledge their customer service, the overall experience and the way the resort felt when we were there during our recent vacation in end of June to July 4th (6/27/25-7/4/25) Front staff Jay (3pm to 11pm shift) was great. Very friendly and had lots of recommendations of place to visit around the surrounding area of Newry, Maine. Always approachable via text message and always knew my name and called me by name when he saw me. The activities the resort put out in the lounge for the kids was also the best I have seen in the many timeshare resorts I been to. Thumbs up to the resort and team for thinking about the kids. Greg (11pm to 7am overnight shift) was extremely friendly and helpful , the first night we checked in as we got there at 3am after (15 hour) drive from NYC to Newry. On our second to last night my daughter saw a teddy bear at their mini gift shop and since my daughter refuse to part with it, Greg was so nice to buy it for her. The gesture touched my heart and may our trip extra special. Unfortunately we didn't know their summer season begins after July 4th. Most resorts the season begins after Memorial Day. But I guess, not here. So we were 1 week too early which meant most activities didn't start yet. But on the flip side, we had the resort all to ourselves and also the undivided attention of all the staff. Greg said the staff works between Sunday river and the other two resorts. The Grand Summit lodge and our resort - The Jordan. We went to visit the other two resorts and the golf course on our last few days and we loved the decor and feel of our resort more. It was more modern and sophisticated, also bigger. The sister resort looked older and less expensive in comparison. The room we got check into on the first night was a studio deluxe and it had problems. The closet door was broken and we didn't know it was a Murphy bed with a sofa bed. So we called front desk regarding a room upgrade. The staff in the morning Gary, saw the notes left by Greg and we were allowed to upgrade (on the house) to a bigger unit - two floors with two bedrooms, a sunroof, balcony and two private full size bathrooms with loft upstairs bedroom and a master bedroom with full living room and full kitchen. It was a surprise and well received upgrade on the house. We loved it to say the least. We didn't have our housekeeper do much except to change the towels and take out the garbage. I guess they must had been happy. They were friendly and gave my daughter rubber ducky and bubble bath soap. On second to last day another housekeeping staff got my daughter crayon, coloring pages and candy. Their mascot Eddy and Betty the yetis are quite adorable. And it's an ongoing theme throughout the resort. They are trying to make this resort an all season resort. But you can tell they are mostly ski and winter snow season resort and best time to come is during the ski season. Probably most popular time too. Our check out was July 4th, but we stayed nearby for the firework show at Gotham, NH. As the resort prepared for Independence Day they put out a lot of treats and glow sticks as well as stickers and candy. Which was a nice surprise. The resort also has grills that allow guest to use any times. We grilled! Also had a pool and hot tub ... too bad the hours were so restrictive and close early that we only got to use it for 10 mins on one of our days. Lastly the gym was open longer, and guest can use it whenever. Making s'mores on the fire pit seems like a big thing in Newry and in the neighboring town. So we did that activity twice. It was fun! The resort provided all the supplies. Personally, I love the feel of this resort and highly recommend them. If it wasn't such a far drive, I would go more often. Maybe in the future will try to go here for ski season.

Mind you, it's not fancy by any means, but it's incredibly affordable, less than a mile from the resort, and has free shuttle service to and from the mountain. The rooms are small, and there was a shared bathroom down the hall. You won't find any TV's here (fine by me) but there is free WIFI. Each night I stayed there, the inn keeper, Duane had a roaring fire in the huge stone fireplace in the first floor living room, which was furnished with super comfy chairs, sofas, and rockers. An added benefit for me was the fact that there are also groomed nordic ski trails literally out the side door of the inn! the inn keeper, Duane is an amazing guy- very kind, entertaining, and really interesting. If you're looking for affordability, convenience, and a place swimming in stellar karmic energy, then this is the place for you.

We had a gathering at Sunday River this past weekend with a bunch of friends. We had a couple of…read moresmall condos, but needed some overflow accommodations and booked a couple of rooms at the Sunday River Inn. When you walk into the place, you're taken back in time - in a great hostel kind of way. The Inn is simple with great character with a old riverstone fireplace. Duane, the manager, hooked us up with a grill to have a cookout on the front deck looking up at the mountain. Later, Mitch Alden, a musician from Maine played a couple of fantastic acoustic sets inside. There was some great food available for purchase as well as beer and wine. If you're looking for reasonable accommodations close to the mountain in a unique space with wonderful hospitality- look no further than the Sunday River Inn.
