Stopped in town for the night and stopped by in the morning for tires and they got me right in and had what I needed.

Thank you for your help this afternoon with my flat tire. I called for assistance, a service truck was at my loctation within ten minutes to inflate my flat which allowed me to drive to there shop close by. My tire was badly damaged, so they found me used replacement and installed it. Although there was some trouble with the tire replacement, they took very good care of me. I want to thank the technician that came to my location to assist and replaced my tire. He would not accept any payment, which was appreciated, due to the issues with my tire. I went to Northern Tire to change valve on Tire that was leaking. I have used them before and always helped me out etc. This should take 10-15 minutes max. After 45 minutes I asked what was going on. they said we have a problem. I went to the back the employee said the tech when taking off one of the studs broke. I asked the owner that they should fix and repair since It was not broken when I came in. He declined and said this happens frequently. I asked my Military mechanics and they said this is nonsense. I left and they tightened it back. Instead of repairing ; they said no and do not come back.!! It is to bad because I was going to spend 800-1000 on tires and had recommended many people there. I was on vacation and brought my car in because I thought a tire was out of balance. It turned out I had an axle shaft with CV joints that were *scary* loose. Even though I was only in the area for a couple days, they got the part in, fit me into their schedule, and charged me a really reasonable price. I drove the 1200 miles home without worry. Oh, and did I mention they have loaner cars?! I highly recommend these folks! read more

I enjoyed my visit to Northern Tire. On vacation last summer I rode my four wheeler there for new front tires. I received excellent service, it was like I was their only customer. (I wasn't). I went there to have two new tires put on. Then the Service Manager Randy brought me out to the garage and stated I needed to have my special Lug tool replaced because its was damaged and worn out.The Service tech used my special security tool to remove the locking lug nuts on all four wheels- one special lug per wheel on stock VW wheels. The Tech stated he couldn't use the tool to install the tires it was too damaged, I asked don't you have the tool here that you would normally use instead of my tool on your air impact tool he stated " no " their all different. The Service Mgr said he could just have the Tech put on new regular lug bolts instead.. I agreed. (how much can 4 lug bolts cost) Now the Service Mgr was very pleasant and professional the facility was clean and looked good.. However when the car was competed the Mgr charged me $9.87 each for 4 lug nuts I was shocked. He stated the cost of lug nuts for VW Jetta along with Mini's are very expensive.. well the extra 4 lug bolts cost me $39.48. It was my very first time to the shop after just moving up north I was disappointed, so much so I had to call my VW Dealer and get their price .. now dealers usually cost alot for any part.. the cost from VW was $ 6.37 each and there probably $2 at the local auto part store. You know after giving the ok to go ahead with the extra expense I wondered if I was going to be treated fairly .. you be the judge. The very next day after posting this review Brian the owner of Northern Tire called and we spoke for a few moments. Brian explained that the problem was a computer entry amount issue, He said it would be fixed. I could tell he sincerely wanted to make things right, He asked me just how I wanted to be compensated for the difference he owed me.. a car wash or he stated he would almost do anything. At that moment I knew he was really sorry for what took place and cares deeply about his business and his customers. I asked him to just send me a check for the correct amount owed back to which was $13.16 which he did along with a thank you card.
