My truck was overheating three and a half hours from home, and over an hour from where I needed to be. I limped into the service station at 4:40 on a Friday evening (20 min before closing for the weekend). Without any delay, the team got to work on my truck. They used connections to get parts very quickly and started immediately. Within an hour we were back on the road and made it, safely, to our destination for Winter Trek. Nothing to worry about! Maybe if a man brought it in they would have taken care of it. This has happened to me on multiple occasions. It's deeply frustrating for people who work insane hours to take the time to drive over (with plenty of time to spare), only to be told in a very brusque manner that they aren't accepting any more cars. It should be noted that other locations don't seem to have this problem- it seems to be a quirk of workplace culture specific to this particular location.
