I ordered a pair of vehicle ramps, rated at 12,000 lbs. I received a notice of projected time of delivery, and the receipt in my Email, almost immediately after placing my order. The ramps arrived on-time, as advertised. I was concerned with how light the ramps were, 10lbs, yet had no issues. Got a ping on a sale, that ended up not being for me, but while looking at that, I found a few things that did interest me at quite good sale pricing, with add-on savings for buy-more save more. Was able to pair that with a stacked promotion for really quite unbelievable savings - and I am impossible to impress, but this was impressive. Only wish I had been on my game, as I had $30 in eCard discounts that I could have added had I acted 5 weeks ago (they had expired). That would have been mind blowing in savings. First of all the website states that there is not a Northern Tool store within 100 miles of me, WRONG, Bossier Store is only about 25 - 30 miles away. Second, the website there is free shipping and gives no stipulations, but then when you check out you have to spend $40 to join the advantage plan to get free shipping. Was not pleased with that. I just opened a Northern Tool Credit card, but as soon as I pay the $12 balance I don't know if I will shop there much. read more

I really wish I can do 0 stars this company. My son order for me I walk behind trimmer after 3 weeks being on shipping status hasn't arrived. Order place on May 9 today June 6th still on shipped status. Tried to get a refund and they refused because is in shipped to store status for the las 3 weeks. My trimmer is being held up a location in Arlington Texas I believe. And he seems like nobody wants to help with it come the local stores they're saying there's nothing they can do about it. Not worth the headache. Ordered a drill and battery. Battery came, northern tool then emailed me saying there was a price error and that I'd have to pay more. I said no thanks. They then said they'd just charge for the battery which was more than the drill and battery combined. Straight up fraud. I'll never buy from them again and will do my best to tell everyone my story. read more

I've been dealing with Northern tool on and off for about 20 years. They've always been quick about getting the orders out in a timely manner. The online checkout process is very cumbersome and inefficient. I wanted to use PayPal which has all my information but I had to input it on NT's site as well. It says paypal available at checkout. Why? Make that an option right away and let Me enjoy the benefits of PayPal and avoid the inefficiencies of NT! That's how everyone else does it!
