All teachers are native speakers of the target language. There are many options to choose from as far as pickups and drop-off times, so it can work with your budget/ schedule. They will take children who are not potty trained yet and actually assist you in that process! Snack is provided by the school. Lunch is provided by the families, or there is an option to purchase a got lunch from a 3rd party who will deliver it. Around $5-6 depending on the options you've chosen. The summer program is also great! They go up to age 6 or 7 depending on the language. I would say the program is a bit more expensive than others in the area, but you are getting language exposure (and possibly potty training help) so I think it's fair. The school also has several accreditations that have minimums standards that must be adhered to and that provides structure that you might not see elsewhere. That costs money, and it's money well spent. The teachers wear gloves when handing out food, there are always dates on lunches Ave water bottles. It's a tighter organization than some. Additionally, the non refundable deposits are higher than other area schools, but again, the school has to secure native language speakers in all three languages for each class level and they need firm numbers. So read the fine print (it's there for you) and don't sign up if you plan on canceling if something you like better opens up. This is not the program to do that with. The learning is play based and my only wish is that it was a little *less* structured. However, I'm unusual in that I prefer a Waldorf type atmosphere, and that's not the usual vibe in this area were people are dreaming of Harvard while baby is still in utero . All in all we've been so happy with Communikids and I hope they start extending their summer program to older kids.

Very impressive! Above the whole room is a large white dome. It starts out lit up like daytime but then the sun sets, the light fades, and the stars appear. The show, The Night Sky and our place in the Cosmos, was approximately 45 minutes. It was very informative, fun and impressive all wrapped in one. We went on a narrated journey through the cosmos with stars, constellations, nebulas, planets, solar systems, and galaxies. Our guide and narrator, Ms. Stewart (the astronomy teacher), did a fantastic job; she made it fun & you just wanted to her keep going so you could keep learning & soaking up as much as you could. Coach Nicole is great and warm with the kids, and the space is very large. They have a huge gym space for sports play and obstacle courses (which the kids can design and build) as well as a second obstacle course area and a separate trampoline room. In addition to the 3D printer and VR headsets, there are lots of Legos, circuits, and all sorts of build and design type activities. My son came back exhausted every day. I also saw a noticeable improvement in his confidence and abilities in navigating obstacles at other play gyms we have been to since. It's not the cheap camp, but it is well worth the price. We will be sure to come back and sign up up for additional sessions throughout the year.

Being used to the eclectic and energetic vibes of city life, we had inhibitions in how she would take to attending such a small and quiet school. Along with her previous classmates and guides, she was used to walking the streets of Brooklyn, taking the ferry to Manhattan, and walking to various public parks. When we arrived to see Guidepost Montessori at Fairfax, we were struck by its quaintness. The children have their own play area in the back of the schoolhouse, surrounded by a picket fence. It is intimate, yet spacious enough for all of the children to enjoy. The school is very clean and organized. The classrooms are set up in typical Montessori fashion, with the added charm of displayed artwork made by the pupils. The faculty takes the time to decorate for the seasons and holidays. The most charming and wonderful aspect of this school is the faculty. From the Head of School, the Administrative Director, to the Lead Guides, Assistant Guides and After School guides, everyone is kind, caring, patient and gentle, and respectful. They immediately treated our family as one of their own. They are the reason our daughter loves going to school each day. She has flourished under their care and guidance and we cannot thank them enough.

She could count 1-20, but sometimes she was skipping numbers. After less than two months, she counts up to 50 in a consistent way. Better: she is having fun; she asks me for more homework. Be aware that you are buying the methodology and material, but Kumon alone will not do miracles. You need to guide your kid every single day (at least for young kids) to make it successful.
