Second visit and second review. I must say I am miffed my first review isnt showing. I went in today really feeling nauseous (I'm four months pregnant) and a little stressed from traffic. I immediately felt calmer walking in the door. The office is an oasis. Both Dr. Steve and the fantastically friendly receptionist were smiling and really kind. Walking out I was smiling and feeling alot better. The office was full of happy clients, which says something by itself! Dr. Steve is fantastic and to respond to the last review, I actually like the varied music selection- I haven't heard Ozzy yet but I'd prefer that to elevator music any day. As a multiple car accident victim, I've been to 4 Chiropractors in my life and each time, I get a bit leary of what I'm really doing there and if it's helping or making things worse. This is the first time I feel well cared for as well as involved in my treatment plan. Dr. Steve explains everything as he goes through it with his easygoing, fun but professional demeanor and it really makes for a great visit each time. I am generally terrified of Chiropractors. I usually opt for Massage therapy or acupuncture. My past experience with a very aggressive chiropractor in Bellevue made me scared of them all, until I went to Dr. Steve. His gentle and methodical approach to getting my back and neck into shape has really made a difference in my daily life. I am not fearful that he will be too aggressive with my treatment, and cause any new problems. I was in a recent accident breaking my jaw in two places, and also had an old back injury that was never quite treated causing my back to become quite stiff and painful at times. After 2 weeks of treatments, I've already noticed an increase in flexibility and ease of movement. In the morning my back is not as stiff as it once was. I will continue to see him, until I'm back in shape with my back and neck. His modest office is conveniently located in Northgate with free parking just a few steps from his door. You probably would think if I said Doctor Steve made me cry that would be a bad thing. It was not from pain, but from the relief of it. I was in such bad shape one day, I had to walk hunched over, face down all day. I had a gig that night (I'm a burlesque performer and musician), and had to call to say I couldn't dance, I had to sing. Doctor Steve got me in the next day, and rapid improvement immediately began. After having two babies 15 months apart, I started having severe back pain. Lugging them both around, along with the diaper bag and infant carrier finally took a good toll on my back. I caught Dr. Lachuta directly in a lie and he didn't own up to it, even after I confronted him about it. He gave me two pieces of conflicting medical advice, and when I reminded him of the advice he originally gave me, he excused himself from the room and said he had to use the bathroom. I gave him two chances to simply own up to his mistake and make things right--but he didn't do it. I cannot and will not work with doctors who cannot be ethical in their profession. This guy is a miracle worker. I came in after messing up my neck in a fall to the top of my head while snowboarding. He got me back on the mountain, not only without pain and with full range of motion back, but I had more energy and I was breathing better than I had in years. While I've had some setbacks, mostly because I felt *too* good and overdid it when I should have be recovering, I'm still seeing much faster results than I usually get from pain killers and physical therapy. We've also had a chance to discuss other areas of my health that can benefit from treatment - something I never would have considered if it hadn't been for my desperation with this injury. Best of all, I like Dr. Steve's no-nonsense approach. He doesn't coddle or make grand promises. He gets down to the root of the problem and sets to fixing it in the most expedient way possible. He'll tell you when you're doing something that is undoing his work and he will continue to remind you that it's your own doing if you insist on continuing it... but he'll put you back together again anyway. Bonus: He works with most insurance plans and will do all the hard work for you in tracking down authorisations and whatnot. read more

Came in to see Dr. Lachuta 3 times, while I was visiting the Seattle area. I had broken a rib and it was popped out in the back, so went for him 3x over a month period to have it put back in place then make sure it stayed there. There's great parking, my appointment started on time, and he was definitely effective! After being in pain for over a month, it went away right away with the adjustment and I was able to sleep the whole night through! Would definitely go back if I lived there. read more

i got into car accidents twice, 1st time was 2 years ago and i went to T&T Chiropractic down in tukwila near my work place. Dr Tung massaged and provided Chiropractic as well so te appointment is 1 hr, each time i came in to see him, i came out feeling good. I loved it but it was too far away from my house. 2nd accident was in August this year. I went to Evergreen Chiropractics in China Town becuase it was refered by my laywer -- biggest mistake ever. Office was mainly served non-English speaking clients, and he was on a rush most of the time, schedule was not as flexible as advertised, most importantly, Dr only did the back crack and the head and i questioned if he knows what he was doing. I wasn't happy there, Dr Chiem didn't show up at 9:00am at my appointment and that was it . I went online and search for Chiropractors in Northgate and Dr Lachuta has the hight rating so i called him, made the appointment and here i am still receicing treatments from him. Each appointment w Dr. Lachuta is about 15 minutes, he adjusted the back, neck, arms, hands and fingers ...He is very friendly, no rush, spend as much time with you as you feel needed. Thanks to several friends giving Dr. Steve rave reviews I bit the bullet and went to him when I stopped feeling 27 and started feeling 85. I had sharp pains in my lower back that made even simple tasks at work feel impossible. Every morning was a trial to get up and even bend over to put on socks. I was using a heating pad on my back almost nightly just to function on a basic level. After my first visit I was so overwhelmed with relief. Not only did I feel so much better but Dr. Steve explained everything to me to ease any other worries I possibly could have had. He made sure my visits were close enough together that just as I felt like I was starting to backslide and hurt again I'd be seeing him again and I would feel better than before. I was referred here by my old chiropractor in Renton when I moved to the big city. The first time I went here they had Ozzy Osbourne playing over the speakers and it smelled of mouthwash, which I've come to the conclusion is coming from the fog machine pond in the waiting area. ALL those things aside, Dr. Lachuta is very nice and very good at what he does. He always explains what he's doing and why and is always willing to answer any and all questions you might have. The girl at the front desk is very polite and helpful as well. A plus is that they are always willing to accommodate my crazy schedule. Dr. Steve is in! He is in every way wonderful! He really cares. He listens to you. He is without a doubt the best in his profession. I went to see him today for a horrible headache I had for the last couple of days. He made room for me all the while not making me feel like an inconvenience to his schedule. But then it wasn't a surprise, he has always done what he can to get you in. After he adjusted me almost instantly I felt relief. Mind you the entire headache wasn't gone but WOW, what a difference! And a bonus, all of a sudden my sinus' were clear, that wasn't part of the treatment plan (i didn't mention it to him, I didn't think that it was a Chiropractic thing) but I'll take the bonus! Oh and by the way, the entire headache was gone by the time i got home (about a 30 minute drive) and was finally able to get on with life, instead laying in bed, in the dark. That was only one of the fabulous treatments I have received from Dr. Steve, and I have never been disappointed. I have always walked out there better then i came it, much better. I threw my back out for the first time last month and thankfully Dr. Steve was there at the time.He talked me through the spasms and gave me his card. I've never had back problems before that and was wary of chiropractors.After a few days I went in to see him and he explained everything that was going on, talked me through the process and said after a few visits i should be back to normal.All wariness and second-guessing was gone by the end of that first meeting. The next day I woke up standing straight for the first time in days.I still had nagging pains but after another visit they were gone too.On top of that the tension pains I had in my neck for years and which gave me migraines has disappeared too. He's by far the best chiropractor I have ever seen!!! (I have seen sooo many chiropractors in my life due to many car accidents, unfortunately.) Personally, I found that when I incorporate his chiropractic care with physical therapy, I feel stabilized longer. Unlike other chiropractors I have seen, Dr. Lachuta won't pressure you into committing to a stupid BS plan they create. Dr. Lachuta will try to make you feel better as fast as he could. I love his laid-back office. Only at this office, there is no stuck up front desk girls that treat me rudely (seems like other chiropractor offices usually hire a stuck up person who treats you rudely especially when he/she knows that you're self pay-- not at Dr. Lachuta's office.) I have never felt like I was being ignored or talked down to because I don't have a good health insurance. After all, I am a student, trying to apply to med school--Give me a break. lol-- Other chiropractors in the eastside area treated me so weird just because I don't work at Microsofts. Even though I live in Kirkland, I will drive a long way and even pay for 520 in the future just to get some treatments from Dr. Lachuta. read more

after reading some yelp reviews I decided to give Dr. Steve a try but was very disappointed. The office was grungy and dusty and had a funky smell. I felt itchy and wanted to take a shower. When I was asked to lay down on my stomach, I could see the dust under the bed and the thin cloth they use to put over the head rest needs to be replace with new, unused sheets with each patient, you can smell the odor from other people. This place needs to be cleaned and updated. They have no X-ray available and the whole place just seemed unprofessional. Dr. Steve was nice enough so I give him a couple of stars but I don't feel better, actually, I felt worst. I feel bad giving a bad review but I wouldn't have gone if I'd known this.
