I found Dr. Asaturov when I was looking for a chiropractor close to my office. I've been to a few chiropractors downtown and had disappointing experiences. Like when a chiropractor focuses more on selling you a package of visits than actually treating your ailments. Often times I felt like cattle when I saw previous chiropractors. I would get an exaggerated diagnosis of my physical condition, then was told I need to buy 36 visits to make ensure I got better--because somehow they knew exactly how many visits it would take me to fix my issues. Then I'd go to my appointments and get the three common adjustments and be sent on my way after two or three minutes. Neck adjustment, hip adjustment, back adjustment--visit over. Dr. Asaturov is everything I was looking for in a chiropractor. His adjustments are the best I've ever had. All because he actually pays attention to my body, instead of just going through the motions. Every time I get an adjustment I get up off the table and can stand up straighter, and walk with less pain. The tension in my upper back gets an immediate release. If I have a migraine and get an adjustment, its severity will be cut in half. It's amazing. Amazing. I trust Dr. Asaturov with my body, he's the only chiropractor that's improved my mobility and pain-- and the only on that actually cared about my progress. I've been seeing Dr Tiffany for almost a year now and I love being under her care. Her soft tissue techniques are why I keep coming back - she rubs the crap out of your tight knots. It hurts so good. May or may not leave with bruises but I will take it if I means better range of motion and I am not constantly bothered! She genuinely cares about her patients and has pretty good hours. I work a regular 9-6pm job so I appreciate that her earliest appointments start at 8am. I will say she has a ton of clients so sometimes the appointments don't start on time, but at least she has roller machines that feel super good and help to pass the time. She sells a few products like the Denne roll and Pillowwise that are supposed to be good for spine alignment, and I think as a dedicated patient who wants to feel better, it's hard to refuse buying these items. I do wish those could be covered by insurance but not sure she has control over that. The cash plan is not bad, I believe it is about $250 for 6 visits. Since my deductible is so high I choose to go this route. read more

I've had the amazing fortune of being a longtime patient of Dr. Christie for over 7 years. I have sent her dozens of referrals because she is quite literally the best. I started seeing her years due to a few sports related issues injuries and she blew me away with her treatment plan and dedication to help me quickly recover. I needed a MRI during the holidays and wanted to get it done before the new year due to insurance changes. Dr. Christie personally called the hospital when I was having issues to ensure I could get in. This is just one of many examples of how she truly goes above and beyond for her patients. I was Referred to Dr. Alex Astaurov by my brother who is good friends with him. He suggested I give him a try after many visits to Chiropractors over the years that have failed me. I have been very hesitant for quite some time to visit any chiropractor ever again from many of the experiences I had. Many of the chiropractors previous to Dr. Alex felt distant and impersonal to me. Selling me packages and adjusting me when I was in such a painful position that it created much more pain than did me any good. Extreme sciatica and stiffness all through my back, neck and shoulders. Walking regularly, going to work and my complete daily routine wasn't comfortable in any way. I was taking mass amounts of ibuprofen daily just to get by. Flexeril prescribed by my Dr. also to relax the overall tenseness. I was not functionable in any way to complete regular activity. I started seeing Dr. Christie around the beginning of 2017. She is very friendly and remembers little details about previous conversations! She is knowledgeable and goes into detail when I have a question so that I can better understand my body and proper mechanics. Her additional at-home exercises have been helpful for my chronic lower back pain. I also see Doug McCreary for massage therapy. He does a great job with my deep tissue massages as I workout often and have very sore muscles. He adjusts to your level of comfort. The location is hidden in a building across the street from the downtown Macy's but it's a nice set-up and the staff has always been friendly to me. I originally saw Dr. Christie in 2015 when I had received chiropractic care for the first time, and initially I was really happy with the care/services I received when going there. When I moved back to Seattle in 2017, I saw Dr. Schramm again for a few adjustments however it is now 2018 and I am left with a gross taste in my mouth after dealing with this practices negligent billing and accounting. Over the last year, I have apparently been notified 13 different times for a "non payment" to an address that I was listed with when I had received my services. I have since moved from that address and was well aware that every time I got an adjustment, I paid with a debit card and they received cash my account every visit, with no issues. I did not update the address with the clinic because I knew I already paid for my last visit and my bank statements clearly showed I paid for every appointment I had prior. I just got a call from their front desk yesterday, her name is Tyra. Tyra called me yesterday to tell me point - blank, "you did not pay us for one of your visits and you owe us $45, and Dr. Christie actually told me to call you because she said this is the last time we ask you for payment before we send this to collections". So Dr. Christie was going to send me to collections, and that phone call with Tyra was my "last warning" until they would have negatively affected my credit and I would have had to deal with a credit hit all because of this bill I supposedly owe, which I KNEW was not possible as I had to pay cash/debit card out of pocket EVERY time I visited. my payments have NEVER been late, never been an issue ever since I first went to the practice in 2015. Additionally, the $45 for an adjustment they tried to say I still owed them for, was for my second to last visit. On my last visit, no one once told me they were unable to charge my card, or that I had an outstanding bill. You would think that if I owed them any money by the next visit I had to pay them, they would tell me that right on the spot. That is why I knew there is something clearly VERY wrong about them trying to pull more money from me. Tyra told me to pay the bill now or have the bill sent to collections, I told them I'm not paying money for an adjustment I already paid for and had to call my bank to get proof of my payment. When I called my bank, not only did I pay for my adjustment, but they charged my card for $65 TWICE on the day that I apparently "didn't pay". And then I was charged another $45 on top of the last visit I paid for. So Seattle Total Health charged my card THREE TIMES, plus some!!!!! And they were going to send me after collections unless I paid a fourth time?? WTF? Dr. Christie lacked a sense of ownership for this when I called her, not taking responsibility during the conversation when she first called me beofre I had to call her assistant Tyra with my bank on the phone, with her underwhelming excuse being that "it doesn't show on our ledger here". In other words, I did not do enough investigate my accounting details well enough but I didn't know so its not my fault". No, totally, completely, YOUR fault. She called me back a second time to ask me how she can pay me back money, because it turns out they OWE me money. I go to Midtown Chiropractic to receive gonstead chiro there, and my experience is far better. Dr. Christie did not take xrays when she first started to make adjustments on me which was a mistake because I have several issues with my spine that my new chiropractor clearly would not have understood unless he got the xrays. Now that I go to Midtown Chiropractic, I feel a sense of relief that they care about my spinal health enough to take xrays first to understand my entire situation in a holistic way, and every time I pay my copay at the end of a session, I always get my damn receipt so I know this will never happen to me again. read more

Dr. Christie was very pleasant and friendly. During my second consultation she took x-rays of my neck. She reviewed them as I lay on a very uncomfortable rolling table. She then took me into the consultation room, showed me the x-rays, and told me I had a tumor on my throat and that I should see a doctor immediately. She showed me where, and explained that she thought it could possibly be a calcification, but also showed me why she didn't think this was the case. I called a doctor immediately and scheduled a visit. I saw him and he couldn't really locate it by touch, which he found strange. To be sure, he scheduled a CT scan. I spent a week and a half picturing my death. Imagining how my wife and three children would go on without me. Lamenting that I wouldn't see my kids become adults, graduate from school, and have families of their own. I saw the retirement and old age I had dreamed of sharing with my wife crumble to dust. Long story short, when I saw the doctor to go over my results he said that the only thing unusual about them was how ordinary they were. He jogged back and forth through the area that the tumor was supposed to be and saw nothing. His only guess was that the tumor that Dr. Christie saw was the cartilage of my adam's apple. I am torn as to how I should feel about how Dr. Christie handled this. I understand that she felt a responsibility to share what she believed were dire, or possibly dire, findings. And I do thank my lucky stars that she was wrong. But I feel that she could have handled things MUCH better and more appropriately, leaving the diagnosis to someone more qualified. But she told me I had a tumor, and I was then subjected to what felt like an eternity thinking there was a good possibility I was going to die in the somewhat near future, after a painful illness. Not to mention I am now a few grand poorer from doctor visits and a CT scan. Aside from that, the adjustments I had before I stopped going to Dr. Christie I found to be aggressive and frightening. These were not the first adjustments I'd ever had, so this is not from lack of experience. I was really afraid that she was going to break something. All in all and unpleasant and terrifying experience. I do not recommend her. read more

Upon finding a relief for my recent lower back pain I found a Groupon for Seattle Total Health and decided to give it a try. It was an awesome deal that included a consultation, X-rays, result of finding discussion, and a massage! Dr. Schramm was excellent; easy to talk to, explained the physiology in lay terms and provided good analogies to visualize my current problem. She also suggested some exercises for me to do to promote better posture and curvature of the neck. The massage was AMAZING. I almost fell asleep, it was therapeutic and much needed! If possible a massage every month would make a drastic difference. The masseur was respectful of privacy, and carried on short enough conversations for a nice relaxing hour! read more

They really focus on the areas you need help in, and give an intensive massage that you can definitely feel (in a good way!). In being a groupon customer, at times you feel as if your appointment/order/whatever it may be, is slightly less valuable/significant to the company/owner than a regular paying customer. Dr. Christie is the first chiropractor I've ever been to, so I had no idea what to expect. I expressed my concerns on the phone when I made the appointment, but Danielle quickly put my mind at ease and scheduled an appointment for the next day. Dr. Christie is friendly, professional, and very knowledgeable, immediately eliminating any worries I had. She took x-rays and thoroughly explained what her goal for my treatment would be. I mentioned that I'm sensitive to pain so she happily offered to use an activator and low force adjustments. After the adjustments, I felt immediate relief and a rush of warmth (blood flow) to my neck and lower back. I've had back pain for the last several years, stemming from stress and arthritis in the thoracic vertebrae, but after seeing Dr. Christie a few times, I'm finally getting relief from pain and I'm getting some movement back. I'm so happy I found her and will continue seeing her regularly. Once you get past the window dressing, there's not much to this place. I did not find this establishment to be much help to any issues I was having that they said they'd be able to treat. Their billing practices are questionable. I received a "past due" bill with unexplainable charges, dates, and services. After mentioning that is bring my insurance into it, most of the charges were dropped. I refuse to go back or recommended this establishment for more reasons than I care to list and having a co-worker go through the same stuff I went through, I can imagine they haven't changed much if at all. read more

I was a bit skeptical of Chiropractors, but after having a persistent pain in my back/shoulder for a few weeks I was desperate for some relief. After the initial few sessions with 10%-15% improvement she suggested performing Graston technique on me. I was very un-comfortable with the idea and even pushed out my appointment due to my anxiety about it. Dr. Christie understood and helped explain the process. I decided to move forward and after the 1st Graston session it resolved my issue by 95%. After then 2nd session the paid was completely gone. I recommend Dr. Christie without reservation. read more

Ive been to many other chiropractors and not one of them took the time with me that Tiffany did. I was impressed with all of the treatments she offered besides adjustments. She did some soft tissue work on me and used a tool to help break up the scar tissue in my shoulders. I felt a ton of relief when I left. Tiffany is super sweet, which is a nice change from my last chiropractor who was all business. I LOVED the pre-treatment rolling bed she had me lie on. Get the muscles loosened up and just plain feels good! She also has some retail items that are helpful for aiding in sleeping ergonomically and physical therapy items. I'm a very active guy and do quite a bit of lifting through Crossfit. I haven't had any major problems until recently where my shoulder started to give me quite a bit of pain if I stretched my hand towards to opposite shoulder. The pain got to a point that I couldn't even shower correctly as I couldn't soap one side of my body. Dr Christie had treated other folks at my gym with success so I went to see her. I've had a few adjustments done, but the graston technique applied to my shoulder was truly amazing. I've had my pain go down by 60% after the first treatment and about 80% after the second. I now have some slight discomfort and it improves every time I see Dr Christie. It turns out my muscles weren't recovering well (I tend not to stretch after a workout either) and the graston helped fixed an impediment holding my shoulder mobility. I am so thankful I found Dr. Christie for chiropractic work. I was battling a severe case of sinusitis that actually impaired my vision. After antibiotics, countless doctors appointments, and an MRI later, I still did not have my vision back. I was hesitant to try chiropractics after a bad experience some years before. But Dr. Christie was wonderful! She was so knowledgable and extremely patient with me. She was very supportive and talked me through every step of the adjustment. She also added some sinus treatments to help support sinus drainage and pressure relief. My vision has improved immensely with only a few treatments and I could not be more thankful. Be careful for the extra charges, they didn't inform you that there's extra charge for the rolling table while you are waiting or couple extra manipulation when you are doing the treatment. I just found out the cost is higher than what they tell me when i received my bill. Remember to ask if that cost extra charge when they offering you something other than your regular manipulation. read more
