I never write reviews, but Dr. Burick, Melissa, and the entire Midtown staff have helped alleviate my back bain so dramatically that it called me to action. Melissa manages their office and absolutely ROCKS. She responds to me faster than assistants at my own company and always puts the patient first. As for the chiropractors, I've worked with Dr. Burick off and on for the past three years and truly don't know where to begin - I've had low back pain for over 15 years and rather than the recommended surgeries (at 20yrs of age) I opted for a consistent regiment of yoga and pilates. After a car accident 3 years ago, I was referred to Dr. Burick to alleviate my pain in L4/L5/S1. From the very get-go, Dr. Burick took immense care in not only alleviating my pain but treating and understanding me as a person. He went to great depths to understand my history, my path to recovery (what worked/didn't), and came up with a customized plan to reduce my pain and restore my body to a lean, healthy, and mobile state. I was originally seeing him 3x a week but he was able to quickly reduce that to 1xevery 2 weeks. From there, I was able to stay in that healthy state for almost 1.5 years before I was in another brutal car accident/hit and run. Again, Dr. Burick spent the time to truly understand my issues and over the course of a few months, I was right back to where I was before the accident (I was pushed into a barrier at 60mph into a barrier...so this says A LOT). Aside from kicking ass in basically every category I care about in a practitioner, the people here are just flat out cool. I look forward to every visit and appreciate how they aren't trying to load me up with as many visits as possible - you can tell they genuinely want to get you back on your feet with as little or no chiropractic help as possible, as soon as they can. read more

I feel like I've been to an absolute con artist. I I chose Midtown Chiropractic based on reviews and convenient location, but I'm now willing to travel longer to go to a more legitimate place. I have been to chiropractors in the past, and I know some are just moneymaking operations, but this was really extreme. Dr. Larry spent the first appointment taking a ridiculous number of x-rays. He said he usually doesn't do adjustments during the first appointment, but I was in pain, so he agreed. The adjustments were ok, maybe a 5/10 as far as chiropractors I've visited before. He scheduled my follow-up appointment immediately and said I could pay at the next appointment. I assumed they would charge me my $50 copay, but I'm not confident based on more recent reviews. On my second appointment, we went over the x-rays, and Dr. Larry presented me with a "treatment plan". He said I'd need to go to him three times a week for at least three months, and then "we'll see" if we could reduce the frequency. He tried to insist I pre-pay THOUSANDS of dollars for 24 appointments (I think he called it the "Silver Plan", but I resisted on that. As I went to the front desk to pay, he told me he was training the new front desk person, and that it would be easier for me to pay at the next appointment. I decided not to return, but it's a month later, and I still don't have details on how much I'm being charged. Beware of this place. Note that all the 5-star reviews are several years old. After 2 visits where I experienced zero relief for my sciatica (the chiropractor was fixated on snapping my neck repeatedly, which did nothing to relieve my discomfort), I finally insisted they tell me what they were charging me for these appointments. Over $600 for two 30 minute appointments - and then he wanted me to book an additional 24 appointments in advance! This guy is clearly looking to retire early and exhibited no discernible interest in actually helping me. Stay. Away. read more

I was traveling thru Seattle and my back was acting up and I needed an adjustment. They are located within a mall not far from where I was staying. I called and I was able to get an appointment a few hours later. The receptionist was very pleasant and nice. Took about 10 minutes to fill out the paperwork for new patients. The adjustment took about 15 minutes and the doctor was very cool and the adjustment straightened my back out right away. I will be back if I need to if I am in the area again. read more

This place did wonders for me after being in multiple car accidents. Turns out I had a bone facing the wrong way and multiple other problems that I was able to see via X-rays. Dr. Mark was able to put the bone back into place and relieve much of the pain that the accidents had caused. The most amazing fix came when I randomly woke up one morning with immense pain when I would breathe. I went a whole day and sleepless night with the feeling of someone stabbing me in the back and finally went in to see Dr. Mark. Right away he was able to tell that a rib had gone out of whack and was poking my lung. He did a quick adjustment and within the hour... Within the HOuR!! The pain was gone and I could breathe normally again. It was incredible. I have even brought my skeptical husband in, and much of his neck pain has been alleviated due to his adjustments here. Midtown is conveniently located for downtown workers and offers high quality and responsive service in the management of spinal health and wellness. Dr. Mark is a dedicated, friendly, and professional problem solver, and I always enjoy my interactions with him and his awesome staff. Services offered include chiro adjustments, laser, massage, rehab exercises, select dietary supplements, and a few cool wellness gadgets and tools. Dr. Mark has an immense wealth of wellness knowledge, is a great resource, and I am very appreciative of everything I have learned from him and everything he has done to support me in feeling better. He is my go-to when I cannot unstuck myself. It is rare for me to trust chiropractors, and it has been a journey just to learn how to properly shop for one (sometimes I can't tell one from a persistent sales person who is pushing for an entire year's worth of package along with a bunch of unnecessary x-rays and data gathering only to perform a standard chiro protocol on everyone). I would not hesitate to recommend any one to drop in to have a conversation with Dr. Mark. He has a recent addition of a new partner chiropractor who specializes in the Gonstead technique, and I am looking forward to trying it at some point. Solutions are never guaranteed but they are there for you, even if you try to make a same-day appointment, and they have made a difference in how I feel, which is huge. This clinic is amazing. I've always been quite skeptical, if not a bit fearful, of chiropractics. But I am so happy I took the plunge and that it was this clinic. Dr. Dave is wonderful. He's friendly, kind, and knows his stuff. He has already helped my neck and back immensely. Midtown just relocated to my building (US Bank Center on 5th and Pike) and boy am I glad that they did! I have a history of back problems due to a fracture in addition to a recent surgery that left my left arm out of shape and my neck in chronic pain. I have been to 3 other chiropractors in the past and I can honestly saw that Dr. Burick is the best! The experience is always a good one. Heather at the front desk is always very pleasant and organized. I never get the feeling that I am being sold anything unnecessarily or that my care is secondary to profit. I came here once for a massage with Tracee. I must say, she gives one of the best massages in Seattle! I like that she uses a lot of pressure, but doesn't put you in any discomfort. Dr. Mark and Melissa are absolutely wonderful and extremely accommodating to your needs. I came across Midtown C&R after falling down the stairs, which left me with horrible back pains and a pretty stiff neck. I was a bit skeptical to seek a chiropractor, but decided to give it a shot after a family friend encouraged me to do so. And, I'm glad I did. My first visit was extremely informative and thorough. Dr. Mark explained my current condition and provided techniques to improve the pain and my overall posture. The weekly adjustments really helped and I trusted his expertise when relieving any tension from my body. Needless to say, you generally feel a positive vibe once you walk through the door. Melissa is so sweet and always asks how your day is going with a big smile on her face. I absolutely loved chatting with both Melissa and Dr. Mark - my visits felt more personal. Dr. Burick is such a nice guy! I have to thank him for helping me get back to my professional running career. About 8 months ago I met Dr. Burick at Super Jock and Jill. We started talking about plantar fasciitis and he told me to come in and see him because he has a new technology that helps get deeper into the tissues through laser. Right away I set up an appointment with him and started the healing process. I had been living with the pain of plantar fasciitis for about 5 months before I saw him. I had tried everything to get rid of it. After the first appointment with the laser I could feel results. I had it so bad that it took a good amount of sessions to finally get rid of it but it was so worth it. If you have ever had the pain or are living with it now you know what I am talking about. It is one of the most annoying and painful things to live with. Since curing my plantar fasciitis I still go see Dr. Burick once a month for overall health care. He checks my back and alignment and we talk about my progress. He is awesome! I totally recommend him to everyone. read more

I cannot say enough about Dr. Burick's magic hands! I had been delaying chiropractic work for a year after an injury that left my low back (and neck) seized and tender. Walking, sleeping, sitting and exercising were difficult for me. I heard from some folks at work how great Dr. B. was/is - and decided to give it a shot...skeptically. After my first adjustment, I was shocked to feel heat, warmth and tingling on my cheeks and back - from where all the subluxations' resided! It was a powerful experience! It only took 4 sessions for me to be able to walk and move normally and probably 5 or 6 total to feel completely pain free. I was astonished. No joke! For me, chiropractics are life changing! I was less than impressed. I came to Midtown with a severe back issue and left feeling taken advantage of. The cost of xrays was a huge slap in my face and though i only went a couple of times i had zero progress on my back issue. Shortly after my experiences there at Midtown Chiro i was referred to a PT for my back issue and my pain was so severe that they refused to see me, i mention this only to give my perspective on my treatment at Midtown, i would think they might conclude the same and not attempt to get as much money out of me as they can. Regardless, what really upset me was billing. After i finally got some relief for my back issue i got my bill for the xrays, due to a pile of bills from the birth of my child i called and asked for a payment plan and made my first payment. Every one of my medical bills including those for my daughter have a wonderful policy with regards to this but midtown must have considered me a huge risk because they started to accrue interest(understandable, but no one else is) and started the process of sending me to collections! Absolutely absurd! I just so happened to pay in full before i got my "collections notice" and ill happily move on. Moral of the story, i wouldn't recommend them. I think they were just looking to "turn and burn" people out the door, recommend seeing them 3-4 times a week ($$$$$) and then take them to collections as soon as they request a payment plan. If there was an option to give this place 10 stars I would. First off, the location is super convenient for anyone who works in the downtown area. I can go the office, get an adjustment and be back at my desk in 30 minutes. Melissa is super helpful and responsive with appointment bookings and insurance billing. During my introductory appointment, Dr. Mark took the time to do a detailed and thorough intake including current and prior conditions, childhood accidents, emotional status and x-rays to get an accurate assessment and diagnosis. He answered my questions with patience and understandable language that enabled us to come up with a robust treatment plan. Within the first couple of visits, I noticed a substantial reduction of symptoms and alleviation of pain and improvement in my integrated well being. Midtown has been great for me working in downtown Seattle. Not only is it centrally located but Mark is excellent about not running late for appointments like every other healthcare provider I know. Furthermore, he gives out free massages if he is running more than 15 minutes late. I appreciate that. After arriving in Seattle yesterday morning for work, I had to call in sick due to lower back and severe sciatica pain I probably aggravated putting luggage in the overhead bin. Staying at the Hyatt, I searched for chiropractor's in hope of finding any relief just so I could travel back home. The 1st 3 had no availability and I was running out of options nearby. Luckily I found Midtown and the friendly receptionist was able to get me in on a busy afternoon. I hobbled 3 blocks there and was even stopped by a homeless man asking if I needed help. Marks adjustment was just what I needed, I immediately felt relief in my leg. By the time I walked back to the hotel, I was walking without pain for the 1st time in 3 days, This is as close to a miracle as I have experienced . Apparently people enjoy running into my car so I've been an eventually-happy patient at Midtown twice. At my initial visit, which was not for the car accident, Mark quickly and expertly diagnosed the origin of my pain. "That isn't from sitting at a desk, it's from being rear-ended." His staff is knowledgeable and quick to communicate (text, email, phone whatever works best for you). They worked around my schedule to knock me back into shape until my migraines and neck/shoulder pain resolved. Though, I'm sure he would use a more professional medical term for the treatment. When I got hit again a couple of years later, his office was my 2nd call. Again, they worked to put me back together. The new office is also in the same building as 3 Starbucks and my daughter's preschool which never fails to crack me up. Speaking of my kid, once I had to bring her with me to a treatment and they were VERY gracious about her being a bit disruptive to their otherwise smoothly running office. read more

While Dr. Burick is very kind and attentive, I've since spoken to other chiropractors at other practices that have alerted me to some of the red flags that I should have noticed, the primary one being that he prescribed me a long-term plan that involved me coming in 3 times/week for 6 months, without really doing any deep-dive diagnostic work with me. I'm relatively young and came in for minor back pain due to sitting at a desk for 40 hours/week, but I was being treated as though I had significant traumatic injuries. I've spoken to others who have received single adjustments here and they've said they were great. I just want to caution anyone who may be going in for something like an adjustment but may end up being prescribed something that is going to cost them hundreds of dollars and a lot time out of their week unnecessarily. What was also concerning is that he recommended that I go against a minor surgery my GP suggested and continue going to him to treat the issue instead, without having much of the information. read more

Dr. David Lee has truly changed my life. After being diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis and being told that there was no cure and that I would have to be on medication for the rest of my life I was ready to give up.
