This accusation & charge is simply ABSURD!! We were on 1st floor just a mere few doors from the end exit doors. Under NO CIRCUMSTANCES did any smoking occur anywhere in that room, nor have we ever been accused of such. I am curious if others have experienced false charges like this. BEWARE of false charges. The manager, Katie, does not exhibit the same warm characteristics of the night staff we dealt with in our late night check in. I am appalled at the accusation & will be promptly disputing the fraud charge on our credit card. Note: the beds are amazing, hands down. The sink would not drain though and there was a lingering pet odor they used Ozium spray to mask. Bathroom was very small for shower/stool area. Train tracks nearby is a minus also.

On July 2nd he had a medical emergency and was Air Evacuated from Moscow, ID to Sacred Heart Medical Center in Spokane, WA. for a brain bleed. The following day he had brain surgery to relieve the blood pressure on his brain. He was released on July 6th and I drove him home to recover. He was under Doctors orders to not travel for a bit, after getting home. I called and cancelled 2 of the 3 hotel bookings he had made for his reunion trip. I called the BW Shelby Inn but the manager refused a refund because it was a non- refundable booking and that was their hotel policy. I talked to the Best Western Corporation and they just passed along the hotels decision to not refund the paid amount, and did nothing beyond that to help solve the issue. They did tell me that it should be booked as a refundable booking next time, and it would eliminate this kind of issue. To me, this additional dollar amount, for a refundable room is a bogus way to extort additional money from people. I was greatly disappointed since this was a medical issue that we had no control over, and not just cancelling for no reason, or changing plans. You can be sure that my total family will never plan to stay at the BW Shelby Inn & Suites location in the future. I'm also not pleased with Best Western's overall response to this, and lack of customer support.

Unit appears to be recently updated with paint and new fixtures. Our unit had a full kitchen and a separate bedroom also. This is what the mom and pop motels strive for, comfort without the bs. We will come back for sure. The view of the mountains and wildlife are added luxuries that no fancy big name can supply. Thank you to the proprietors for reminding me that comfort and beauty do not need to come with a large dollar sign.

Also helped us plan our trip to Glacier. Wish it was closer because we would stay here as often as we could. If you are traveling to Glacier this is a great place to spend the night before you go. Had we known they wouldn't even do a partial refund after their mistake, we would have moved. So sad to see a company no make right THEIR mistake. They have lost our business the few times a year we come through!

The carpets are stained, the hotel entry is cluttered and grungy, our room smelled weird, and there was pee on the toilet seat in our room...before we ever used the toilet. That means they didn't clean our room's toilet and if they didn't clean the toilet, what else did they neglect? Fortunately, I carry clorox wipes when I travel and I personally wiped down all the surfaces in our room. Oh, and I also found a glue trap under the bed against the wall. I have NEVER stayed in a hotel that had glue traps in the room! Why do they need glue traps?? Mice or bugs, but either way it's unsettling. I understand that all hotels must use pest control, but using glue traps in the room is tacky and disgusting. We felt so gross staying here and absolutely hated it. Unfortunately, it's the nicest hotel in Cut Bank. That's not saying much. Also, the walls are very thin. You can hear everything going on in the hallway and adjacent rooms. I was up until 3 am because of an adjoining room's occupant going in and out of their room all night and allowing the door to slam. We only stayed here because it was close to Glacier National Park. The only thing that got me through this stay was knowing I had a very nice room in Kalispell for the next leg of our trip.

The mattress needs replacing and the upholstered rocker was broken listing to one side badly. The TV was 1990's vintage or older. In addition, the lights to the bathroom and sink area immediately adjacent to the sleeping area were on a single switch, so if you need to use the light for the bathroom late at night, you are sure to awaken anyone sleeping in the bed. Add to all this you are 2 blocks to the railroad line, so you get serenaded with trains much of the day and night. I don't know if you can do any better in this town, but it is worth a look.
