    Small town service the way it should be…read more My Wife and I found ourselves in a situation last October where our furnace wasn't working up to par. We have a very old house and an old furnace. It turns out, the last owner of this house did some work of his own on this furnace and caused a lot more problems. After going through several other furnace repair and install companies in the area. (some of whom said that they didn't even want the job here cause it would be too much of a hassle to them), I walked into Bruin's. I started explaining my issues at the front desk just wondering if I could talk to someone to get some more opinions. One of the managers overheard the conversation and stepped out to introduce himself. Wow, at last someone wanted to not only listen but help out in anyway that he could!!! He listened and explained what was happening and why it happened that way. He then asked for me to come back with some more information. When I did make it back, he went through my rough sketch and had an employee draw up some better plans for airflow and explained what needed to be done to fix my issues. (Biggest issue was that my furnace was always shutting off from my high limit switch which is a huge problem). All of this information was free!! I was able to take back all of the information they gave me and do most the work myself. All of this help and reminds me of service you just don't get from big companies anymore. I will go back to Bruin's for all my future needs as they actually listen and want to help out no matter the situation your in. Dustin G.

    DO NOT USE ROMANIUK!…read more I purchased a $9K Lennox heat pump/AC installation from them and it took them multiple trips to get it properly installed. A second installer had to come out to rectify 'deficiencies' in the first installer's work. As part of the 'job', I also requested that they install a gas line to a stove and BBQ on the same day as the AC install to minimize my time off work. No one showed-up to complete the gas line work, but I later found it was included in my AC install invoice. After multiple calls, they finally came out to install the gas lines, however, their work DID NOT pass the City inspection and I am still waiting for a callback on how they are going to correct the installation. They probably have the have the worst customer service I have ever experience as every contact requires a 'call back' that you rarely receive. Using ROMANIUK has cost me multiple lost work days due to their incompetence and dysfunction.

He…read morewasn't willing to upgrade us to a quieter unit at their cost after everything we had gone through (see below). He mentioned he saw this review and called me a liar. There started the heated disagreement over everything. I told them that they could take everything back and I'm taking my business elsewhere. I refuse to be treated horribly and worse no one returning any calls. I hate to believe that it's because I'm a woman but that's the vibe that was laid out and they way I felt. I am over trying to get this company to finish my installation. It's been a month and I have yet to get my AC installed. I have never had this many issues with one company even when renovating by entire duplex with 5 different contractors! This is how it all started: April 18 I was told that the two furnaces and AC would be installed. Then get a call the day before that the electrical panel would need a sub panel. I knew there was room and had to get their electrican to come out to look on a Friday at 7 pm and tell me that yes there is room he just moved a few things around. Come April 18 the basement furnace was installed the next day a crew was too come out and do the upstairs furnace NO ONE showed up! So I get rescheduled for 2 weeks out. Two weeks out Tim comes to install the upstairs furnace. Right when he comes in he has the attitude that he doesn't want to be there. He's shown the job and complains, sighs, rolls his eyes and is rude. I kicked him out of my house and off the job. Speak to Walter the manager on the phone this this isn't acceptable and then find out Tim was not sent home but out to a different job where he was kicked out by another home owner!!! Now two more weeks go by and another crew comes Darrien and his partner are great. The issue comes when they turn on the furnace. I wanted to have all the piping out the roof and they didn't want to do this so I said fine if you can not go up like if there is absolutely no way go out the back. They didn't even try to go out the roof they are straight away out the back. When the furnace is on the venting out the back is so loud near my bedroom window!!!! The new furnace is louder then my old one and creates this irritating loud humming that vibrates the wall. We were especially specific that this furnace needed to be quiet as it's beside the bedroom. So now this isn't going to work. Then they were finished at 1 and didn't have the time to install the AC? After being messed around this much this job should have been a priority and it's clearly not. I called Romaniuk three times to book yet again for another day for the AC installation and NO ONE called me back! I had to have the installers call the manager to book me in for Tuesday otherwise I'd be waiting another 2 weeks. I'm honestly at the point of you can take both your furnaces back and I'll call someone who actually cares about their customers. I'm tired of being lied to, ignored and rescheduled. This is the last straw. If this isn't resolved and fixed by Tuesday I'm starting a BBB complaint.
