Do you like having the freedom and autonomy to chose the doctor that will see you? Well at Northport Wellness Center they will make appointments for you with doctors that you never asked to see! 2. Do you value your time and energy? Despite requiring their patients to provide 24 hours notice of cancellation, the Northport Wellness Center couldn't possible adhere to such rigorous requirements themselves. You could even receive a confirmation of your appointment, but sure enough, the doctor won't be there to see you that day. 3. Do you want your doctor to see and treat you like a human being not a cash cow? Find someplace else because the Northport Wellness Center is more interested in whats inside your wallet than whats best for you. Be ready to pay the toll every step of the way. I went there for about 10 session didn't help at all for my condition. They insist on taking X-ray which I am not happy about because I don't have any injury, I just feel like I need an adjustments and tensions on my shoulder. They charge you over $200 dollar for it. I mean a chiropractor should be able 'see' the misalignment of the spine without an X-ray. Dr. Sherr would only see me for for about 5 minutes and do a few cracks. I have to come back every two weeks. I only feel a little bit better for a day or so then my pain comes back. I went on the internet and found a few stretches that helped me more. This place is a Gem! I've been taking my family here since my eldest son was born. Dr. Allan Sheer the Chiropractor has decades of experience and can gently adjust anyone from an infant to a large adult. He only adjusts the side or part of the spine that's out of alignment. He does not try to get u to come in 3 times a week just to bill ur insurance, he only treats u when u need it. Very gentle, and highly knowledgeable about nutrition, detoxing the body and helping people navigate through our crazy modern environment. Also Dr Palevski, he is the only MD I know not bought out by pharma reps and corrupted regulatory bodies. He was train and practiced pediatric medicine all over NYC for decades before moving out to Northport. He is highly trained in child nutrition, he is versed in eastern medicine, and by following his advice my children are almost never sick. He offers gentle treatments, natural supplements and techniques my wife and I use on our boys. As a result when they do get sick, they literally recover in hours. Their bodies heal naturally, they do not suffer with chronic symptoms. also the NP Jennie Zethner is amazing. When Palevski is too booked up, we bring our kids to her. She is very knowledgeable, easy to reach, and uses non invasive treatments that again keep my children super healthy. Again if anyone gets sick, I know how to get them better in less than 24 hrs. I think children naturally recover quickly, we just repress that process with modern drugs that repress the symptoms and keep germs and inflammation stuck in the body. Every provider at this place is amazing. There are so many! Again if you see any haters here giving bad reviews they probably are trolls jealous of the success of this place and the concentration of beyond amazing healthcare providers packed into one place. I love Northport Wellness Center! I see Nurse Practitioner Jen and Dr. Sherr for my kid. They both have great bedside manner. They listen and does not rush you on your visit. I also would love to have Dr. Palevsky as my child's pediatrician because I hear GREAT reviews about him. I have heard him speak at events and he is really a knowledgeable pediatrician. Instead of pushing meds down your throat like most doctors they actually listen and take there time with patients and try to help with diet changes and heal you by actually listening to your symptoms not rush you out of the office and prescribe something. I started going to this place with the possibility they'd tell me something new and that we'd try something new. I completed a 23 page document and submitted it on line. Very impressive. But the rest has been disappointing. Although Dr. Pappas D.O. (their anesthesiologist) may have suggested something new for my back (radio frequency ablation), I believe it's all about the billing for Alan Sheer and the other doctors they have on retainer there. The first and second appointment with Alan Sheer which was basically a consult, which cost me $225.00 out of pocket they said "they'll submit to my insurance company". They didn't. The third appointment I had an ultra sound done by Sanford Davis, MD a radiologist to determine the severity of inflammation. Nothing new there.I have bulging discs L3 - L5. What do you expect? Learned nothing new here. Plus they made me see a nurse practitioner there that gave me muscle spasm shots. The 4th appointment with Alan Pappas was just a review of my ultrasound results. The 5th appointment I received a steroid inject per my request from Dr. Pappas because I was going on a week long vacation to Europe and I didn't want to be caught unexpected with more back pain after driving 1,000 miles. After each appointment I saw Alan Sheer. I am not a workman's comp or injury claimant so all billing goes to my insurance company and I am suppose to pick up the balance which they apply to my credit card upon leaving the office. Unfortunately, I left a card on account instead of being billed direct. Not only do they bill me for things I don't want (back brace) but they bill me for things I did not approve. Most recently for electrotherapy electrodes which was submitted to my insurance company for $2,546.96 of which $1,815.19 was approved leaving me with a balance of $731.77 which again they'll probably hit my credit card for. If they do I am returning the electrodes. I never use my EMS 500 muscle stimulator because I am beyond that situation. I need relief not pain management. I cancelled my 5th appointment wit Dr. Pappas and Alan Sheer and scheduled an appointment with my anesthesiologist. This organization may be good for some one with a pending lawsuit but it's not for me. read more

If you are looking for a dr who is skilled in the art of listening, follow through, integrity, perseverance and knowledge, then you want an appt with Dr Sherr. My story is too long to share, but I used the same words with Dr Sherr that I used with over 25 doctors b4 him. The difference was that instead of picking my symptoms apart, Dr Sherr used my words, (descriptions of what I was feeling). to begin painting the picture of my injury. He was able to LISTEN and point me to more specific imaging and to specialists who had the same approach and ideals as him. It's b/c of Dr Sherr that 2.5 year's of suicidal at times, migraines, crps flares, severe hyperacusis, (sensitivity to sound), and other sensory and central nervous system problems that continued to develop from an under treated concussion, that my husband and I finally have answers. My top vertebra, the atlas had been misaligned from the rear end accident. I now have a path to recovery. He's the doctor, we all dream of having! read more
