Robin came back into the front office, helped me with questions I didn't fully answer, and then I went back to the chair and I was under Delilah's care, and, boy, she is efficient -- doesn't miss a thing. She took a very good Xray for Dr. Weitman so he could clearly see my bridge problem. Dr. Weitman is very calm and reassuring: he assured me that he would like me to keep my dental hardware (the bridge in question). He advised me to wait until it's loose enough that he can work it out of my mouth gently. I like this approach. I'm very happy with this dentist and this office so far.

The nursing staff- on all levels- nurses, Assistant nurses etc were top notch! Very caring and friendly. The place was very clean and the food was surprisingly good. The doctors took great care of me as well. Nobody wants to go to the hospital, but if you have to, I recommend Huntington Hospital.

However, a family member went recently with symptoms of a stroke. They took a CT scan, which is inconclusive for a stroke. And sent him home, the same night, not able to walk on his own, and with very high blood pressure. They told me he did not suffer a stroke and that it's just general weakness from the arthritis he has in his knee and hip. Flash forward 5 days later. We visit a doctor who tells us to go back immediately, bc he did in fact suffer a stroke and must get an MRI done immediately. They misdiagnosed a stroke. With all the signs in the hospital that claim they're #1 in this regard, they should be ashamed of themselves. Needless to say. He's back there where the doctor told us to go. It took them an additional 33 hours to give him the MRI. Which is inexcusable according to multiple hospitals on LI that I have called asking about this. Unless they're trying to cover their tracks for the 5 day blunder on their part. I would normally wait to post a review, but ANYONE who fears they suffered a stroke should not use this hospital as they're negligent and delayed treatment during a very critical time because of malpractice.

When I first met Dr. Ocasio, he gave me hope at a time when I had just about run out. But then, being under his care, he has actually been giving me my life back, piece by piece. Leading into my first appt, I had been bedridden on disability for over 2 years after my surgery. I couldn't even take care of myself, let alone do anything I enjoyed. What I usually say about my own situation is that we didn't find a miracle cure for my symptoms, but everything we did chipped away at them like 3-5% at a time... but now when you add it all up, the difference is huge! At the beginning, I was worried about Dr. Ocasio being out of network with my insurance, but his office is amazing at coordinating my out of network benefits and making it possible for me to continue receiving this top tier care that only they provide. And the truth is that Dr. Ocasio wouldn't be able to be his unicorn self if he was shackled by the constraints of large institutions and insurance companies. Unicorns can only exist in out-of-network private practice, so thank goodness that's what North Shore Headache & Spine is! My Huntington dentist noted I needed a root canal (my fault, I was at least two years between…read morevisits) and I headed to Dr. Azizi since my experience four years ago there was so pleasant. This time things were very much the same as the office is spotless, office staff is efficient, assistant is very professional and I had a x-ray done of the tooth in question. Dr. Azizi explained the necessity of the root canal, carefully administered the anesthesia, and described each step as he went forward. Between the local anesthesia and my favorite podcast (I wore earphones) the 45-50 minutes went very quickly and painlessly. I almost fell asleep. And I should mention, for the record I am ordinarily a complete chicken with dental work. Absolutely no issues with the tooth right now and the office called this afternoon to check on me.
