We just moved here so its a great comfort to me to know we have you all close. Everyone was so kind and efficient during her 3-day stay. I wish I had all of your names but I just don't, but here's a few of the folks that we wish to say thank you too: -- David Mullins and Jeff Rennie came quickly in the ambulance despite us being in a dark, rural area full of deer. They were kind and comforted mom. -- Kimberly in emergency was very kind and helpful to me too, as it was our first time there and I just did not know where to go. -- The ER staff was great too, including Dr. Scott. -- The nurses were wonderful to mom, as well. I hate it that I don't have all of your names, especially the young lady that cut mom's food for her as that was so sweet. Trissi and Miranda were two I met that were kind and we really liked them and appreciated them. -- Thank you to all doctors that checked on her too. Thank you all so much, including those of you whose names I did not get unfortunately. Please forgive me but know you are very appreciated. God bless you all.

Every member of the staff I encountered treated me with kindness, professionalism, and genuine concern. My room was spacious, comfortable, and exceptionally clean. The Environmental Services staff did an outstanding job keeping everything spotless. On the first morning of my stay, my wife immediately commented on how clean the room looked--something she had never said during any previous hospital stay. The staff thoroughly cleaned and dusted the room, mopped the floor, and even changed the trash bag even though it was barely full. Their attention to detail did not go unnoticed. I also noticed a small device under the sink that I later learned was a Synexis air purification system. It operates so quietly that I never heard it, but I was impressed to learn that it continuously helps improve air and surface quality by generating a safe form of hydrogen peroxide. It was reassuring to see Northside Hospital Cherokee investing in technology that helps protect patients from the spread of germs. The food service exceeded my expectations. There was a wide variety of menu choices, the meals arrived on schedule, the portions were generous, the food was served at the proper temperature, and every meal was exactly what I ordered. Hospital food often gets a bad reputation, but that certainly wasn't my experience here. My discharge process was one of the smoothest I've ever experienced. Nurse Brenda made sure my wife and I had everything packed so nothing was left behind. She asked my wife to bring the car around to the entrance, and within just a couple of minutes I was on my way home. The entire process was efficient, organized, and stress-free. The highlight of my stay, however, was the nursing staff. Their compassion, professionalism, and positive attitudes made all the difference. Brenda and Elizabeth cared for me during the day, while Nancy and another night-shift nurse--whose name I unfortunately cannot remember--provided excellent care overnight. Every one of them treated me with respect and kindness, and they always seemed to have a smile on their face. They should be highly commended for their dedication to their patients. If I ever need hospital care again and have a choice, Northside Hospital Cherokee will be my first choice without hesitation. Thank you to everyone who made my stay such a positive experience. Your hard work and commitment to patient care are truly appreciated. Irvin F

This is a huge hospital out in the mountains of North Georgia. I had…read more heard good things about it, so I felt comfortable checking in for my outpatient surgery. Staff was friendly at the check in counter, and I did not have to wait too long to get signed in. I had already spent 50 minutes on the phone for the preoperative interview. The preparation for my surgery didn't take too long either. The nursing staff was very friendly and professional. The Anestesia Doctor did his job, but he was not extremely personable. To him, I was just a number. However, my Doctor Karen Buhariwalla was amazing. She explained what would happen in the upcoming procedure, and made small talk to make me feel confident, and relaxed. After the surgery the dismissal process was easy. Noone wants to have anything to do with a hospital, but if I ever have to, I would chose this one.

Fast forward 5 years to NEGMC Braselton and what a difference in the quality of care and attention…read moregiven here at the hospital. 5 yrs ago, this place was brand new and I was dealing with my mother who is ill and passed away in 2021 this place was not up and going yet and the experience in the ER was shockingly unacceptable. April 22, five years later, I live in Winder now and I had a heart attack and my son took me to Winder Hospital where they didn't have a heart surgeon available. I was rushed over here to Braselton to the ER for emergency surgery and then spent the last three days in ICU, recovering from an unexpected heart attack and experience. I never thought I would have to go through. The staff here has been phenomenal. From the surgery by Dr Patel to the nurses who care for me for three days I had unbelievable care, my day nurse Deborah was outstanding and having never spent time in intensive care. They made it as pleasant as could be. Having met my first major medical issue in years, I thought it necessary to give this hospital a a review from the patient's side, not from a caregiver side, which is a totally different perspective. From being loaded in the ambulance and Winder and Durban over here that only was the Winder staff on point and supportive, the ambulance, driver and support in the back was comforting, and kept me calm, to the welcoming at the ER and finding my way to awaiting surgeons standing in the hallway to perform emergency surgery, I remained comfortable, the staff, and I wish I could name them. All allowed me to get through this experience to a quick recovery that I cannot be more appreciative of. And although I haven't got the bill, which will probably put me back in the hospital. I was reminded each time they ripped hair for to put new sticky pads on that. This was a free wax job, if losing a few hairs was the worst part of the process. I think I can live with that. Thank you all for a fantastic job. Most appreciative and humbled.!!!

This E.R. has a rogue "nurse" (who evidently goes by the name of "DJ"). She identified herself as…read morea "nurse" (but I honestly don't know what her "title" really was). She kept coming into my room and severely criticizing the doctor who was in charge of me. She made all sorts of crazy claims about him, and she really wanted me to know how bad of a person AND a doctor that he was. I was shocked. I liked the doctor. He was very thorough, friendly, and professional. Yet all afternoon she would come in telling me that "he was ignoring (me)", that she "was left alone to care for me", (and much worse) etc. She also told me horrible things about the hospital, and their management. She repeated her "ranting visits" for hours. I felt like I was in that movie "Misery", stuck there...with this angry woman. Her bizarre behaviors and angry comments were very disturbing (needless to say). I was already in pain, and she added a lot of unnecessary stress and anxiety to my "visit". I have called the hospital several times over the past week about what happened, but they haven't returned ONE of my calls.

Mind u I have cancer and a clotting disorder. The nurse kept asking me if I wanted to leave my purse in the room and I told her no because my daughter hadn't gotten back yet. I thought that was strange but I was sick I didn't have time to focus on that. On the way back I get in the room a tech is reconnecting me and this nurse comes in behind her NOT making herself known as to who she was or anything and then she went behind the bed and proceeded to go through my pocketbook without my promission or allowing me to see or know what she was looking for. I had nothing in the bag because the hospital had security and they went through everything in there because it beeped. And they found nothing before I was ever seen. She screamed saying WHAT IS THIS and showing me some nasty sarange with blood in it and a tube of blood. I was like okkkkk. I don't know what ur talking about they were working on me drawing blood and getting me hooked up my bed was a mess. And a tech was moving things around to clear the bed when she had me sit in a chair sooooo. She put my things in a belongings bag and put stuff behind the bed when she was doing stuff. There were also vomit bags back there that fell over in there and a cup mind u. I wouldn't have them in my purse myself soooo I was so confused and mind u sick. She proceeded to get security for what I have no idea. He was confused and even told her its a hospital stuff falls and gets everywhere. She is clearly sick and ur making a scene. Another nurse asked him if they should call 911 to get me out the hospital! Like what! I was in tears and confused and barely could stand. I was asking to speak to a doctor or charge nurse and 25mins pass and no one ever came. The guard asked what I wanted to do and I said leave. He asked them to get me a wheelchair nd they didn't. He got it for me and helped me into the chair and he and another officer helped me into the car. My daughter couldn't believe that they were doing what they were doing! So just know the 4 stars on Google is coming from people who know staff and staff. But u should take heed to the 1 stars and this will save ur life and ones u love. And keep y from having someone go through ur things and then ur treated like the worst person even about to call 911 to get u out and ur sick. I field a police report on this someone and something has to happen

They tried to get a vein for about 3 hours and finally sent in Dwayne with a vein finder. Absolute flop. He and Pam discussed it vibrating when he finally got the IV in. Waited probably another hour + to get CT scan. Vein blew immediately. I left which is the second time I did this (a whole bunch of issues in July 2025 - kept me overnight and then all day and never did the CT Scan). I also never got my medication which they blame on the doctor. And no point in filing a complaint (which I made last year) because they cover their actions. Wish there were an option for negative rating. The nurses here are the worst and could care less. July 2023 my husband had severe pain. They ran bloodwork and sent us home. We came back the next day and his numbers were off the chart. Took hours but they finally sent us to Athens. In this case, the nurse was so rude, I asked her not to come back in the room. Do not trust this hospital and we are ever going back. How can you not find a vein for hours and when I leave say oh sorry, we can try again? Absolutely not and if you value life, stay away. Several staff members commented they go to Athens instead. Not even surprised by this.
