I came in with painful urination and…read morepainful, swollen lymph nodes and was met with a complete lack of compassion or concern. Dr. Kim performed no real assessment and offered no solutions beyond a basic urinalysis. I had to ask for bloodwork, and I also had to ask for a prescription to help manage the pain I was experiencing. There was no attempt to investigate the cause of my symptoms or provide meaningful guidance. I was essentially told that if I wanted any real effort in diagnosing the issue, I should go to the ER or see my primary care physician--making the urgent care visit feel pointless. The entire interaction felt rushed and dismissive. Dr. Kim seemed impatient and irritated by my questions, and the initial consult lasted no more than three minutes before he excused himself, saying he had other things to do. I left feeling unheard, unsupported, and no closer to understanding or resolving my symptoms. This experience fell far short of what I would expect from an urgent care visit, especially when seeking help for something painful and concerning.

She tried her best to get through taking vitals and everything so the doctor could see us as soon as he was done with the several patients ahead of us. She was so kind, and that made the experience less stressful--no one wants to have a problem bad enough for an urgent care but this one was trustworthy!

The lobby was literally empty on a Saturday. My loved one was evaluated immediately and there was a clean room available and staff who checked in frequently. We saw a friendly doctor who actually read the chart. It wasn't cold and we had cable tv to watch. Because it could have been minor or serious, my loved one was fed and given a room in the "Clinical Decision Unit" to sleep in overnight to wait for an MRI. Our room was comfortable and I was able to sleep in a recliner. The staff brought blankets and a pillow. This may sound normal but it's a world away from Emory University Clifton hospital where we paid to park and waited in a freezing lobby crammed with sick people for 15 hours before seeing a doctor. We literally heard people screaming because they were in pain. There were no doctors, a nurse said someone died due to lack of staff, one of the security guards was stabbed in the hand, it was like a horror movie! Even if you called 911 and arrived on a stretcher (which is recommended to fast track service), you'll be lined up stretcher to stretcher to freeze and wait like the rest of us. It took several days and constant checking for an MRI, whether you were admitted to the hospital or not. And I'd still choose Emory Clifton over Decatur or Hillandale.. But now we have a better option. The only area for improvement at St. Joe's would be a cafeteria open on weekends but food delivery is available. We don't always need an ER but when we do, we will go to St. Joseph's. It's worth the drive!

There was no monitoring throughout the night - only taken during triage, once before discharge... SERIOUSLY??!! Fire someone in the 180's - 200's, one would absolutely expect consistent monitoring, via machine or human. They hung a saline bag, never used. I actually had to advocate on her behalf to keep them from unnecessary blood draws. We will most certainly be examining the bill, once it arrives!! At the slightest hint that they realized I was not going to let them run unnecessarily tests on her, they backed off and quickly discharged her. This is definitely not a hospital I would recommend for anyone with any high blood pressure or cardiac conditions! Am I doctor, no. Have I cared for ailing parents and experienced this type of bill padding - YES!

Remarkable Review - Emergency Care Team Date: April 22, 2026…read more I would like to take a moment to recognize the exceptional care my daughter and I received during our recent emergency visit. From the moment we arrived, the team acted with urgency, professionalism, and compassion. Cherrel, who arrived with the ambulance and her partner, ensured my daughter was transported safely and remained attentive throughout the process. Kendall, my daughter Ja'lyn's nurse, provided attentive and reassuring care, keeping me informed and making sure she was stable and comfortable. I also want to recognize Jacob, who stepped in and took initiative to assist with Ja'lyn's check when he noticed it was due, even while Kendall was occupied. That level of awareness and teamwork did not go unnoticed. Dr. Melnikoff demonstrated professionalism and thoroughness in evaluating and treating my daughter. I truly appreciated him going above and beyond by following up with my daughter's cardiologist to ensure they were aligned and on the same page regarding her care. That level of coordination meant a great deal to me. I also want to acknowledge the rest of the supporting nursing staff, who worked collaboratively to ensure everything was handled efficiently. Due to their swift response and coordinated care, my daughter received the attention she needed during a very concerning situation involving low oxygen levels and low blood pressure. Their ability to remain calm, communicative, and compassionate made a stressful experience much more manageable. I truly appreciate the entire team and their dedication to patient care. -Kay

Not the greatest shopping center to makes lefts in or out of. I grew up down the road from here and remember this building as Blockbuster. :) Ambiance: clean, modern, sleek waiting room. A little quiet and sterile, but for what the building is, that's OK. Care/service: was there for my daughter, and we no longer live in the area. Chose this place based on my Dad's recommendation, location on Google maps, and that it had great hours of availability. The gal at the front wasn't too friendly, but maybe her coffee hadn't kicked in yet because she was really nice when we were departing. The nurse and the PA who we eventually saw in the back were so warm and professional. They really put my daughter at ease. From walking in the door with an online scheduled appointment of 10 to leaving was under an hour. We saw two other patients exit, and the building was very quiet. I imagine that the wait can be FAR longer during a busier time of the day, so I am so glad that our experience was a prompt and as pleasant as it was!

I was in hospital clothes, and shoe-less for half the day too. I got my clothes on my 2nd day, and i was honestly on a roll after that..?
