With Jesus at the core, he trusts his congregation to understand deeper concepts that will transform their lives. 2. The mission work at this church spans from the local community to a much broader international scope. So, when Pastor Mark preaches about the servant heart of Christ, the body of believers can be inspired to work in any of the church's mission fields. 3. The student ministry for middle/high school students is very active and I've personally seen God's hand transforming the lives of many that attend. I have been a leader at 3 summer camps and every year I see the students opening up to their peers in order to form a christian support system at school. 4. I love the worship at this church because it reflects the vast array of emotions a believer experiences in life. There are upbeat songs that relate to the pure joy we have in the presence of our Creator/Father and there are songs that speak to our graceful, forgiving God that strengthens us when we are weak. The style is in the likes of Bethel, Elevation, Chris Tomlin and other contemporary praise artists you would hear on Z88.3 5. This church is large but it encourages its members to join a small group. Small groups are a great way to grow close with other believers who may become lifelong friends. Church of Viera was the worst experience my wife and I have ever had at a Church. After watching a…read moreservice online last week we thought we would give the 10am service a try and drove 30 minutes to Viera only to be treated as if the Church did not care. After dropping my wife off at the door she is handicapped and walks with a walker, I went and parked the car and met her inside. I was super excited as the Church was packed. That is when it all went wrong. 1) We saw an usher and I said 2 seats please and pointed out my wife's walker. He looked at us and very rudely said "I ain't got nothing for you" which was weird as there were several reserved seats right in front of us. 2) So, we decided to just leave as we did not want to burden someone who cared less for us. 3) Upon walking out we gave the person holding the door the papers he gave to us as we walked in. We told him the usher said "he ain't got nothing for us". Instead of trying to help he then said, "have a good day" and I said, "thank you for making us feel wanted". 4) Several Church volunteers overheard and just said, "have a good day". 5) As we were approaching our vehicle a gentleman named Steve asked, is everything alright? We explained what had taken place and he was very apologetic and offered to escort us back in and help find seats. At that point we were already upset that the usher was so rude and declined his offer. He again apologized and said as a Christian that is not how you treat people. I know this is long winded, but I am still in shock as I write this 3 1/2 hours later. We are both in our middle 50's and my wife is handicapped from leukemia walking with a walker, and we were treated so rudely by an usher. Besides Steve from outside, not one single person offered to assist or help. This is clearly NOT the way JESUS would be treating people. Do Better Church of Viera Do Better.

I had so many questions. I came across the group on accident and I'm so glad I did. They have a variety of classes and so many field trips. It encompasses all grades K through 12. Spelling bees, history and geography fairs ,everything you think your child will be missing from public school. And it's run by the sweetest lady Miss Brenda. You do not have to belong to the church. There's people of all religions. In fact no one ever asked us what church we belonged to! I would give this 10 stars if I could.

The inside is set up for vendors to sell finished gourds, others to sell the equipment and supplies we need and some with dried, raw gourds (are many more outside under the trees, too). There are several classrooms inside the building and outside-for the burning and carving classes. They have a small cafe to buy breakfast and lunch run by the members and a bar (closed off during the show...darn) that members frequent at night when show closes. All and all a nice venue I enjoy coming to each year!

We just moved here and are searching for a home church. It's just me and my daughter, as I'm a…read moresingle mom. The website said they start at 11, so we showed up at 10:45, come to find out they're doing a special series for the month and don't start until 11:30. Had to drive around the parking lot a couple times before we could get a spot. Walking in, the greeters at the door didn't even say anything to welcome us in. It seemed disorganized. Everyone walking everywhere, looked like a bunch of bees flying around. This is a LARGE church by the way with police helping with traffic. We walked over to kids check in (which took us a while to find. I thought I was standing in line for it bc I followed the signs, but turns out it was just a guy and his daughter waiting for someone). The kids leaders were extremely welcoming and kind to my daughter. My daughter even made a friend. Austin checked us in and he was super friendly and helpful. After I dropped my daughter off, I went to wait for them to let us into the auditorium. Standing there by myself, not one person came up to me. They were all saying hey and chatting with people they knew, all regulars at the church. I was extremely uncomfortable. I did see the worship leader greet the people next to me, so I give them props for that. It was nice to see him trying to get to know people. They finally let us into the auditorium. The music was SO loud. The bass especially was irritatingly loud (I come from loud, band like churches, and this was bad). Still no one greeted me as I was sitting there for 15 mins waiting for church to start. When the band started playing, I could tell it wasn't good. The bass and drums were so loud, i couldn't hear the singer hardly. It was really hard to drop everything and focus on God because it was so loud. I did like how everyone was high energy. That's what I'm looking for in a church, is the excitement of praising the Lord. Apparently everyone had a coke and popcorn to which I had no idea I could get, since no one told me. So everyone around me was eating their popcorn and drinking their coke. I wish I could have gotten in on that. For this series, they watched clips of a movie and talked about Bible verses that relate to that scene. It was okay. The pastor was on screen the whole time, never in person (all pre-recorded). I wasn't into that. Someone wouldn't be able to write notes in paper bc it was dark the whole time with the lights out for the movie. It felt very mainstream being there, not a lot of people focusing on God, I feel like they're all there for their friends or to watch a movie. I also felt like I dressed up in heels and a dress to go to the movies. You could see the disorganization probably with the issues I encountered in my one first visit. We will keep searching.
