I can't say thank you enough to these amazing people…read more They are kind, attentive, and loving.

I brought my dying puppy into this vet office and let me tell you how that went. They had us wait…read morein our car instead of their waiting room bc SHE WAS BLEEDING PROFUSELY FROM HER WHOLE BODY AND WAS OBVIOUSLY DYING and instead of being compassionate to her, they decided the other people in the waiting room shouldn't have to look at her, despite the fact that we had no air conditioning in our car and it was August in Oklahoma. So ok great I was just happy to finally be able to afford to take her to the vet for this illness that turned deadly pretty much overnight. So we waited. And waited. And waited. She was curled up in the floorboard of the car, a soggy bloody mess and we waited almost 2 hours before I went in and asked how much longer, my dog is dying. The receptionist said she's next it won't be long. Ok. We wait another hour. Finally we got to fill out paperwork inside in the air conditioning. I tell the lady I have $130 so just please don't run any unnecessary tests, bc I didn't want to not be able to pay the bill. This lady literally says to me, if you can't afford her you can take her to the pound and they probably can. What. The hell? This is a dog that I love and have been desperately trying to save. Then we get into the exam room and she's hot and shaking and needs water, bc I hadn't thought to bring a water bowl with me to the vet when I picked her up and ran out the door to get to the hospital for her and now she's endured 3 hours in the August heat inside a car with no ac. I asked the vet tech for water. No help. I asked the vet for water. Nothing. Finally after she'd been examined and they left the room, I grabbed a paper towel out of the dispenser and soaked it in the sink and squeezed it out onto the exam table and wrung it out in her mouth so she could have a drink. The vet comes back in with prescriptions for her and a bill that exceeds my $130. I can't afford these prescriptions, can I please get some samples? She's going to die. She says they're all out of samples, sorry. So I left there with a bill I couldn't afford, prescriptions I couldn't afford to get filled and my dog was still suffering. I wouldn't ever go through this again for anything. I didn't leave a review right away bc I was busy trying to find a way to save my dogs life. This happened last year. She lived. A lot of at home remedies and happy Jack's over the counter shampoo saved her, while the useless prescriptions they wanted me to buy when I had no money left after I handed them the $130 I had just sat on my dashboard. Horrible experience. We're lucky she lived. Very rude and uncompassionate. Don't do it.

I got in my car and traveled around Shawnee looking for a pet store that might sell dog boots (I had plenty of warm clothes for them, but no boots!). The store I found on Yelp had recently closed down. Disheartened I continued driving up Harrison and went past Best Friends Animal Clinic. Eureka! They will know where I can get dog boots! I went in and from the moment I walked in the door I felt taken care of. I could tell this was a really great clinic by the kinds of food, treats and products they had on display in the waiting room, and the front desk receptionist was just lovely. While we talked, people came and went with their cats and dogs - everybody was happy with how they were treated. While the receptionist was on the phone, the vet came out and asked if we were all taken care of. THE VET came and checked on people in the waiting room. Awesome. As we chatted, the receptionist told him why I was there and he hand wrote me a map of the pet supply places in Shawnee. Seriously, how sweet was that?! I think you'll like this place. Friendly, well kept and really nice staff and vet. Definitely was a place I would take my dogs if I lived there!

Up to date and open minded to the latest and safest techniques. Plus, not just thinking about current health and issues, but what to do for the future and preventative care of your 4 legged loved ones. I don't trust my family and rescued animals to anyone else!
