Staff told me told to bring her to my appt.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]I provided my new insurance card & was reassured again at the counter that Dr. Lokale hadn't been loaded into the system yet.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] 30 days later we received a $700 bill becasue Dr. Lokale is "out of network". They refuse to take any responsiblity in their error & stated that pateints are always told to "check with their carrier before scheduling". No one ever said that and they assured us they were being loaded into the network. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Their own website states they handle insurance billing.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]I wrote a letter to Dr. Lokale explaining why we are having to leave his care, but they refuse to deliver it to him.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] When I had shingles I called for an appointment , got in 6 weeks later when hey had gone away. Dr. Lokale asked why I didn't come see him sooner and asked if I told the staff I had shingles. I said yes and eve left a message with the PA, he seemed surpirsed. Every appointment takes months to get in to see anyone. Had a growth in my cervic & took 18 months to get an appointment with an OBGYN to read the sonogram report that Dr. Lokale had ordered the year prior. That's how badly it's administered. I have been without a medication for a month now because they just can't do the prior authorization correctly even when the person from the insurance company is on the phone with them telling them how to do it. New patient and will NOT be returning! [[HIGHLIGHT]]I explicitly told the front office when scheduling my labs what insurance I have, and they told me based on my insurance I would have to go to Labcorp.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Due to having to fast, I had to wait a couple weeks for an early morning appointment. Walking in to any lab first thing in the morning without an appointment will certainly guarantee a long wait time which my schedule does not allow. So after waiting a couple weeks and fasting, I went to my appointment only to be told the office sent me to the wrong lab. I was very upset. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I emailed the office when I got home through the portal explaining what happened, asked them to send my lab request to the CORRECT lab, and expressed my frustration, as this was totally preventable. I received zero response back from the office, so I called the office and this time requested a call back which NEVER CAME.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Finally someone from the office replied on my portal stating she sent the labs to the correct lab. (I still need to verify she actually did that). No apology, zero accountability.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] She just simply stated she sent them. I have been to this office one time, and that is my last. They didn't process my refferal correctly which means I don't have an active refferal to see my glaucoma specialist and the young girl at the front desk showed no concern. I have glaucoma in one eye and I had two surgerys on my other eye. My vision is very important to me but not to them. For 2 month my wife was canceled on after being admitted in the ER and then after finding out she was hurt and had a massive issue she then decided to remove pain meds that cause constipation but never mind the meds she's been on for years that cause massive constipation. So after 4 months my wife finally was seen after this women kept canceling i firmly believe she did this intentionally because she assumed my wife wanted more pain meds 15 tramadol for 3 months 1 script. I hardly believe my wife wanted pain meds my wife wanted to be seen and treated and find out what was happening and my wife even told her its probably the other meds because she doesn't take narcotics. We r currently looking for a different dr and ill be fileing a complaint with the medical board because what she did was brush off my wife to make her someone else's problem and this is exactly how my wife feels. We firmly believe this is patient neglect and abuse. She shouldn't be a dr dealing with people idk if id trust her to practice on dogs or cats. Horrible in EVERY ASPECT. Left and changed PRIMARY 1st-front office staff is not professional. Stood in line for 5 minutes while 3 front of staff are there but only 1 is ACTUALLY checking in patients. 2nd- get put into room. It's dirty ( patient table had not been cleaned, foot step was not wiped), and I mean not clean. Medical equipment is broken, falling off walls, room was old, holes, paint chips. 3rd- after being placed in dirty room with NO AC, and 45 minutes later still no Dr. I go to see why no one has come. Her M.A. has given no update to let us know Dr Young is running late. It's now an hour past the scheduled appointment time. Why am I doing the MA job? It's hot and stuffy in this nasty room I've been waiting for 45 minutes. And, Dr Young still with other patients and will be our turn shortly. Nope, my time is not less important than hers especially no updates, nothing! 4th- walk out to reception to leave and 1 of the 3 front staff, who wasn't checking people looks up, I let her know the Dr Young is running over an hour late and I can not wait. Her response' so you're just walking out' No, I'm leaving as my appointment time was not honored. When I asked what was I to do with it...basically stated look at the sheet and read it..it tells you what you need to do. Just wanted to say how disappointed today's doctors appointment went. I've never in my life have dealt with such an uncaring doctor. I have health concerns I needed to address and Dr. Sanjaya Hebbar did nothing to help me. I expressed my concern regarding a pain that I occasionally had and he literally said "I don't know" when I asked him what could it be. I followed to ask if we can investigate what it can be and he said "there's nothing to check". How uncaring and unprofessional of a MD to respond to a patient. This is why people die, because these so called doctors don't pay attention to young people. Just because we're young does not mean were inmortal. If I could leave a "negative 5" star rating I would. Bottom line: DO NOT GO TO THIS OFFICE! I moved to Arizona in January of 2022 and needed to find a new physician because of some of the meds I take. I chose Dr. Michael Yim at NAP because he got great reviews. Their problem isn't Dr Yim - I really liked him and he seemed to be an excellent physician. The staff, however, is a totally different story. From the reception desk to Dr. Yim's Medical Assistant, this bunch is absolutely clueless. About two weeks ago I wanted to transfer all of my meds to a different pharmacy. Simple procedure, right? Not with Northwest. I called the office and asked them to please take 2 minutes and call my new pharmacy to confirm my medication transfer. I had to leave a voice mail because no one ever answers the phone...ever! After a few days of hearing nothing, I called again and left a voice mail...again. Still nothing. So I completed a contact form on their patient portal requesting a call to my new pharmacy. I heard back...nothing. This went on for two weeks. I had a refill left on one of my meds; I just needed it moved to my new pharmacy to be filled. So today I got an email that said I had a message on my patient portal. "Finally!" I thought - they called my pharmacy! WRONG! My message was Dr Yim couldn't refill my medication until he saw me for an office visit! I DIDN'T NEED A REFILL! I already had one; I just needed the office to confirm my medication transfer. And I already had an appointment scheduled (which I'm certainly not going to keep). After all I went through, all the calls and messages, his office didn't have a clue what I really needed. And not once did they reach out to me for clarification. So if you want an office staff that couldn't hit their a** with both hands and a road map, and could care less about their patients, by all means visit Northwest. Otherwise...STAY AWAY! Unfortunately Northwest Allen had physicians and Dr Corbin balance office are probably one of the worst doctor's offices in Tucson. It's unfortunate that you're told to leave messages for the medical assistant and then told by the office manager that the medical assistant will never call you back. Then why am I forced to leave a message for that person? Dr Ballam has the personality of a wet blanket and his office staff leaves buckets to be desired. We have gone to the Sahuarita, Az office for approximately 4 years. While they do "the bare essentials" required by Medicare insurance "well checks" they aren't going to do anything beyond that. If you call or use their text message service to communicate, they take at least two or three days to get back to you. TheI'd office help seemed to be spending more time chatting to each other than returning phone calls. After going to them for 3 years, the nurse practitioner assigned to me was still coming in an introducing herself like I had never seen her before. I am glad we are moving so that we have a chance to go to a different medical practice. I have never had such poor service! read more

I absolutely love Dr Lokale. He's a D.O. and is completely supportive of my working with a functional medicine doctor who does more alternative things. He maintains eye contact when I'm talking, I feel he is fully present and attentive, and I never feel like he's impatient for me to just shut up so he can go see the next patient. The office staff, however, is a huge problem, and from what I've heard it's a widespread one. I can typically expect to have to make multiple phone calls to get the right information conveyed to my doctor; and even when they write things down there is often missing information, misinformation, etc. I've left messages requesting a call back and it can be days, weeks, or never. I've finally resorted to only dealing directly with the office manager, who seems more able to make sure things get done correctly -- but she shouldn't be having to do other people's jobs as well, so many things she's playing traffic cop for should be able to get done by the people who've been hired to do them. If I could have found another doctor who is as wonderful as Dr. Lokale, who's covered by my insurance, and who's within a couple of miles further away from my house, I would have left a long time ago, but so far Dr Lokale is worth the incredible hassle. read more

Update 5/10/21: Finally got a hold of customer service/billing! And let's just say my experience was horrible!! Spoke to Raymond who has no customer service skills what so ever. Very condensending and right out rude! He was all over the place trying to explain the bill. Didn't make any sense. At one point said my husband was getting billed from the hospital? He never went to the hospital this was an office visit first time patient. Thought that was odd. Said it was the insurance sending the bills? Ok...they are definitely sent from NorthWest Allied. He wasn't making any sense! I aked why we were billed twice and he just kept saying its the insurance, not us? He was extremely rude and when I asked for his supervisor he said well thats too bad you'll have to wait until tomorrow. She is gone for the day. I asked for her name and he kept ignoring me saying I'll have her call you tomorrow. After like the 4th time he finally said Martha. I said Martha what is her last name. He said we don't give out last names? Really? The manager over billing at every other office has buisness cards with their full name. Im not sure what that was all about. Not pleased! Will be contacting our insurance to see what the billing codes are. Should be interesting. I have never experienced such horrible customer service with a doctors office!! My husband went there last year for an annual checkup. Our insurance has a $40 copay which he paid the day of the visit. He was not impressed by the doctor or the staff. And has not and will not be returning. We keep receiving bills from their office saying we owe more then the copay. In February we received another bill that stated they billed our insurance again for a completely different amount. A little suspicious! We can't get a hold of anyone as they keep you on hold! The Doctors here do not care about you, they have no after care whatsoever, and their pre care sucks also, they do not prep well and don't care about any past or present issues you may have. Kinda treat you like cattle. I know of 2 patients right now (family members) that are caught up in this bad service. 1 had a colonoscopy with a large polyp removal and is still has a very sharp pain in abdomen 3 months after, she told the Doctor about it when she had her follow up 6 WEEKS LATER, doctor was surprised she was in pain but did nothing, told her it was still spasming, this was a wrong assumption, the patient is still in severe pain a month later, called dr. office last Thursday and was told he would for sure call. 5 days later and he still hasn't called back. We dont know if her Colan is being torn apart or what. Very bad non-careing service. And the other family member had a full knee replacement and was left with no pain meds for the last 6 days cause the Doctor messed up on the prescription and was not around to correct it. still can't be reached. read more

My experience with Northwest Allied physicians has been terrible from top to bottom. Their schedulers show a lack of planning, their doctor leaves poor notes, and they don't even bother to tell you how much it will cost until 30 minutes before you go under anesthesia and they demand payment. Now I have to deal with being refunded since they now sent me a new bill showing my insurance will cover it. They're never available by phone and you can expect to wait 4+ months just for an appointment the doctor will spend 5 minutes in. read more

My primary care doc is at Northwest Hospital and am happy with his assistance and advice. After a year with N.W. I have started looking for another P.C. as it is impossible to access the N.W. patient portal or speak to the office staff. My phone is a land line. It does not take text messages. In order to access my p. portal a code is sent to me. However the code is sent by text. The phone number to edit my info is the number at my doc's office. In the year that I have been a patient, no one has ever answered the phone. There is an outgoing message which has choices to select for physician's assistant, appointments, billing, doc' s assistant. (Aside: when I contact billing, billing staff tells me to contact my doc's office!!!) I let the phone in my doc's office ring until the connection is lost. When at my P.C.'s office recently, I talked to staff at the front desk. It was suggested that I change my password. That doesn't eliminate the "text" contact. I have tried starting anew. Still get text. Bottom line: I have no communication with my P.C. unless I see him in person. He is almost an hour away. E.g. A few days ago my doc. sent me a notice of my test results--- viewable on my patient portal. So.....not available to me. To get my results I went to Radiology LTD, 15 minute drive, or less. A staff member promptly and efficiently provided the results. My way to resolve this communication problem is to find another P.C. NOT a N.W. physician. I'm on it. read more

I would like to leave my opinion of Dr. Rodriguez - Padilla, with Northwest Allied Physicians Group and let others know of our experiences. I say "our", because my girlfriend is her patient. Unfortunately, my girlfriend suffers from early-stage dementia with a serious speech impediment. Therefore, my girlfriend requests my presence during doctor visits. We have had two visits with Dr. Padilla to date. Our most recent visit on 6/2/22 was a follow-up visit to find out the results of a thyroid image test. This imaging test was performed at Oro Valley hospital on 5/9/22. I would like to give some background on the care we received. We did not receive a notice, phone call, or email, to schedule a follow-up visit. As a result, I called her office and left three messages, two with her physician's assistant and one directly with Dr. Padilla. The first message was during the week of 5/16/22, the second message was left during the week of 5/23/22 and finally, the third message was left with the doctor directly during the week of 5/30/22. Again we NEVER received any communication from the doctor or her physician's assistant or Northwest Allied Physicians Group after these three attempts. I called and scheduled an office visit myself with Northwest Allied Physicians Group at 1:30 pm on 6/2/22. This is what transpired during that office visit. The doctor didn't make it to the exam room until 2:45 pm. We were told by the nurse, that Dr. Padilla was running behind schedule so it would be a while. Dr. Padilla comes storming in and says, "I don't have much time, there are other patients." She looks at her computer and goes over the results of the image test. There was something she didn't like about the image. She had my girlfriend sit on the exam table and physically examine her. She leaves the room and comes back with a referral to have a biopsy of a thyroid nodule. She tells us to call the number and schedule the biopsy. As she is saying this she is walking out of the exam room. I ask Dr. Padilla to answer some questions and she says she has other patients and SHUTS the door in my face! Unbelievable! The total time Dr. Padilla spent with us was easily under 10 minutes. I called to have the biopsy scheduled, but the earliest time available is 7/19/22. Unfortunately, we will be leaving the country and going back to Mexico. Dr. Padilla had put STAT on the referral and when I mentioned this to the scheduler for the biopsy, she told me the only way to get an earlier appointment would be to have Dr. Padilla call the biopsy doctor directly. I called Northwest Allied Physicians Group and left a message directly with Dr. Padilla to call the biopsy doctor on 6/2/22. As of today, 6/9/22, I have not received a call from anyone. Needless to say, in my opinion, Dr. Padilla is the worst, rudest, unprofessional, unkempt doctor I have ever met. I thought her torn medical coat in the pocket area was a nice touch. I or my girlfriend will never go back to this doctor or anything or anyone associated with Northwest Allied Physicians Group. read more

Very bad experience with this clinic and its manager, Renee. I saw Dr. Rodarte to have a wart burned off my finger. This is something that takes about 5 minutes to do, but it's very common for warts to return. Dr. Rodarte assured me that if it came back, to just come back in and he'd take care of it at no charge. I paid $140 for the treatment. Later, the wart returned, and I called to get an appointment to go back in and have it burned again. I was informed that Dr. Rodarte was no longer there, and that I would have to pay again for the same treatment that didn't work the first time and that I had already paid for. I thought this was very unfair, and I asked to speak to a manager. I was given Renee's number, and left numerous voice mails for her and she never called back. I finally called the front desk and she happened to be there. She told me that they'd be "happy to see me again" (and happy to charge me again!). I was charged a $35 co-pay along with an additional $30 fee for my doctor to check 3 boxes on a form, she provided no medical service to bill my insurance company. I would have been fine with the $30 charge for the doc fee, but not with fraudulent billing to my insurance and an outrageous $65 out of pocket fee for doing nothing! All I wanted was to have some labs done to test my thyroid bc I keep gaining weight, my hair is falling out, and I'm chronically exhausted. When I made the appointment I was told I could have the labs done at the same time. Not true, but no big deal right? Well after my initial appointment I was told I could schedule to have my labs done there. So I made an appointment, booked a babysitter for my 3 kids a second time and went. I signed in and waited. Then the desk lady came and told me they don't have the equipment for the specific labs the dr ordered for me. What? They said I could find a lab Corp and make an appointment. I asked if they simply ran out of the stuff they needed for the labs or if they just don't carry the necessary pieces for my labs ever? The lady informed me that they don't ever carry it. Then she said it's too bad they didn't tell you that. She was the same person who booked my appointment so when she said "they" who was she referring to? I told her the doctor told me that I could have them done there and she is the one who scheduled it and then she looked confused and said well we can do some of these. So then I asked well how many of the labs can you get done if I do it here today. In the meantime I checked LabCorp and they are booked out for the next week. She came back and told me simply that I can go to the hospital. Then she also told me I checked and none of these are urgent tests as if that was so reassuring. I told her duh they're not urgent but every single time I have to make an appointment I have to go find a babysitter plus pay them for watching 3 kids which isn't cheap, and it's a big hassle. They had told me twice now that they could do my labs when they clearly couldn't and should have known because it's simple information . Her simple response was "yeah that has got to be so frustrating." I wanted to reach through the plexi glass and slap the stupid right off her face. I had been warned the front staff is daft and rude but I still took a chance. I 100% do not recommend this office. read more

Love Dr. Yim and Dr. Lokale but this is not the same group it originally was when they opened in Oro Valley. Doctors used to practice the way they wanted and listened and spent time with patients. Now the owners of Northwest Allied Physicians have gotten rid of the original office managers and hired untrained inept individuals for the front desk who no longer even answer the phones. It takes weeks to get a call back, if ever and everything goes to a central phone service who can't even reach the office. Impossible to talk to your doctor or his assistant and have to actually go into the office to make an appointment or get assistance with a problem as they don't return calls. Doctors are rushed and don't listen to what you are telling them because they are too busy on their tablets entering medical electronic records. Portal no longer works and you cannot get old information off your record as they never seen to update your files, even though information may be wrong. Had test results show a medical emergency and no call from doctor or his medical assistant, but call from someone at front desk who did not understand situation and could not answer my questions, just told me to go to hospital immediately. Unacceptable. Will be changing to another practice not because of doctors but because of Northwest Allied Physicians horrible practices that have been instituted over the last few years. read more

Dr. Michael Yim is one hella piece of work. His arrogance and rudeness can only be described as breathtakingly, abjectly stunning. It's a real mystery why people who have zero people skills, get into a career of working with people. Yim's rudeness and arrogance is unmistakably a result of his never paying the price for his actions. Despite all his education, he fails miserably at the most basic and essential of life's lessons: the golden rule. He interrupts a person's answers to his questions, he ignores symptoms and patients' concerns, he is blatantly peevish. His competence as a doctor is almost nil. He desperately needs schooling (with physical assistance and kinetic teaching aids) in respect and compassion. Whether he ever learns his lesson is doubtful. Avoid this arrogant punk at all costs. read more
