We were desperate after our sewer line became clogged....could not shower or use the toilet! I called Steve and Mike to come and troubleshoot my septic system. This was after having another plumber in Sequim try to troubleshoot my system. That plumber recommended replacing a part, which we did, but did not solve the prolbem. After seeing the tech's methodology I did not have confidence in his expertise with the septic controller or the system. Things got better once I called Steve and Mike. They identified the problem was not the level sensor in the tank but a poor connection in the septic electronic controller. Steve took the board out of the controller and soldered up the connection. We called Steve, believing that we had a blocked pipe. Turned out our septic pump had stopped working. He went the extra mile for us, and figured out that the floats had been tangled together. And also, a fuse had blown in the control box, after several recent power outages. We think that Steve could fix anything - he is amazing! He is so pleasant and has the most friendly, sweet Golden Retriever who got along great with our dogs. We were surprised by how little he charged us, so we rounded up to what we expected to pay for all the work he did. Steve called me back right away (same day) even though I called him on a weekend and in the evening. He came out first first the next morning and he was able to get everything cleared out quickly and without making any mess at all. I had a plugged sink emergency - not one but two. I called my usual plumbers, none of whom could show up within three days. Steve from Northwest Drains showed up that day and got the drains unclogged. He went a further step and fixed the plunger that opens and closes the stopper in the bathroom sink. I can't say enough about the great job Steve did for us. He located our drain field, put a camera through it to inspect, inspected our septic tank and made a report to the county. The County inspector approved the system. Steve was our second opinion after being told we would have to put in a new system.
