To my surprise making the appointment online was incredibly easy and I was able to complete everything without any need to call and speak to anybody. That was awesome! I don't have a lot of time in my day to call and go through the endless back-and-forth of trying to find a date which works. Of course with any medical provider the equality of service is the most important piece. I felt as if the doctor took the time to understand my problem and to learn what activities I wanted to get back to that I wasn't able to. He suggested physical therapy exercises that I may not have tried before and quickly made a referral to get an MRI after I told him all of the different things I had tried before coming to see them. While no one wants to go see a doctor, if you do need to see a sports medicine doctor, this is the place to go.

Everything went smoothly and my recovery went very well, so when I tore a tendon in my right shoulder playing golf last spring, I returned to his office for treatment. My surgery was originally scheduled for October, but my insurance company denied the claim because there were "no doctor notes attached." The office had 30 days to resubmit the claim, but they did not do so. The surgery was then rescheduled for early March. Before the procedure, my primary care physician ordered my pre-op labs and told me the surgery needed to be completed within 30 days of the lab work. The lab staff confirmed the same information. I called and emailed Dr. Bowman's office to let them know my labs had been completed, but I did not hear back for two weeks. When they finally contacted me, the surgery date they offered was beyond the 30-day timeframe. When I questioned this, the woman I spoke with told me, "Oh, that's okay, we do surgeries up to 90 days after labs are taken." I explained that both my doctor and the lab had told me otherwise, but she insisted they were wrong. After the problems with the insurance authorization, the lack of communication, and the conflicting information regarding pre-op requirements, I decided to seek care elsewhere.

Dr. Gauntt has taken my case really serious requesting extra exams that diagnose my Osteomyelitis on my left foo and thanks to him and his diligence I am medicated correctly and feeling 80% better and able to walk again. Was on antibiotics for nearly 4 months and did not improve, was in pain and exhausted my sick leave. Finally got imaging done and never heard back from doc after many follow up calls. Called them and they said they "didn't have a copy of results" even though I had received them a week prior. Kept calling and 3 weeks later a random person said "looks good" and I said I wanted the doctor to interpret it because I'm still not okay. She said well "she's busy can she leave you a voicemail?" Are you kidding me?! Never received a call or voicemail. Incompetent, no follow-up. I feel silly for not having moved to a different doc sooner, but I wanted the consistency since she did my surgery. Then the receptionist remembers last minute that I did have some paperwork to fill up! When I left it took the office two weeks to find if my insurance covered my procedure! I don't plan to return. The receptionist is not just rude, she's also lazy and incompetent.

It's a you problem not the business. If you want quality sometimes you have to do your end of the work too. The receptionist was very responsive and honest about this and was able to explain it in full detail with tips as well. Chiro: Very good! I've gone to many practices. I only have one other that I love. This place is great for your typical chiropractic needs. They have a good assessment and take their time getting to know you and your body's needs. It always seems like there's a constant flow of customers and many returning ones, which is always good sign! I have many more appointments so I will update as needed.
