Pricing of the project was very reasonable; I think it was the second-lowest quote we got, but Sawtooth's materials and warranty were better. Jose and his crew did a great job. During the job, every day's end-of-day cleanup was great. The end result looks beautiful, and we're very happy with the way everything went. The high end materials and awesome warranty also add to the satisfaction of a job well done. One hiccup: 2 fascia boards with some minor dry-rot at their ends were supposed to be replaced before the installation of new gutters (new gutters were part of the project). Somehow that fell through the cracks, and the gutters went up over the 2 boards. Darrin quickly took ownership of the issue, and did a great job of repairing/rebuilding the corner where the problem was. Very satisfied with the response to the issue! Suggestion to Sawtooth: if new gutters are in the project, they need to be included in the project scope all the way to the end. That includes final inspection and invoicing. The QA inspection by Nick should have been done AFTER the gutters were installed, not before. The inspection should include both the roof and the gutters, not just the roof. The final invoice should be emailed AFTER the gutters are installed, and all issues are settled.

The builder on my house put in plastic vents to save money I guess and their roofer did a poor job…read morenailing incorrectly. To prevent problems others have had I had the vents replaced by Cooper Mountain. I called for an inspection and they promptly showed up and took pictures to show me the imminent failure. While it took a few days for the quote, it was a fair bit less than what others in my neighborhood have paid for the same repairs. We got on the schedule and they came out and fixed us up quickly. The builder also put in a vent with no connection to anything. The repairman showed me and went into the attic space to confirm that nothing was amiss. This is the second time I've used Cooper Mountain (roof replacement on prior residence) and I would totally recommend and use again when the time comes.

When I wanted to add ventilation to my roof, every other roofing company simply wanted to sell me a new roof, which I didn't need. Casey worked with me to create a custom solution that involved ridge venting and bird blocks to create the airflow needed on my duplex, without having to replace the roof. Once we agreed on a design, the install was done in 2 days, which is mind blowing considering there was over 100 feet of ridge vent and about 36 bird block vents. Casey came back to the property after the install to check the work which I greatly appreciate and I feel really shows the professionalism of this company. I will only be using Cooper Mountain for any roofing needs.

When our roof was completed, nails protruded through the plywood on our eaves. They splintered the wood and looked awful! Their cleanup was lacking. 1 mo. later, we are still picking up nails and pieces of roofing. We are seniors who have done roofing ourselves, and we were treated very disrespectfully when we questioned them.

From the initial bidding process with Nels, I learned more about roof care, maintenance, installation, and science than from any other roofing company. Cascade wasn't the cheapest, but they also weren't the most expensive. Quite frankly, my bid was a couple thousand cheaper than I thought it would be. Nels was honest, forthright, and probably told me more than a salesman should. But I like that...it's called trust. I was comfortable with Nels. Cascade does all work with salaried employees...not subbed out like other roofers. This means the guys on the job have careers, not jobs, and they act like it. No cussing, no loud music, no slacking off. Everybody was on time, and the crew worked their butts off like no skilled craftsmen I'd ever seen before. Contractors get a bad rap, but these guys came through. Clearly they ate Wheaties for breakfast, because these guys worked like champions. I heard a great deal of laughter throughout the day, showing that the workers all have a strong rapport with each other. My roof went on in one day. That's right, a contractor on site at my home for ONE DAY. They cleaned up the work site, and I was left with a great looking home. Oh, and here's a nice perk....I get to pay for a portion of the job with a credit card...with no surcharge...and earn some airline miles! Now, if I could only find a fencing conrtractor as reliable as Cascade Roofing!

WOULD NOT REHIRE! While they did a good job cleaning the…read moregutters, they knocked down a potted plant and just left it on the ground. Admittedly, we missed moving it before they got here but leaving it on the ground without even a heads up is just poor business. They also trampled and blew debris all over a well-marked patch of new grass we have been growing. While they did do what they promised and cleaned off the flat surfaces (driveway, etc) with a blower, they do so by blowing the debris from your gutters all over your lawn and flower beds. Having been in the gutter business I am well aware of the challenges associated with the job and in my opinion their performance was lack-luster at best.

Megan was great, getting us scheduled with an estimator very quickly. I had a disappointing experience with the estimator this morning that makes me not interested in working with All Surface, at all. After looking at the exhaust fan ducts/vents - the estimator told me that 2 of the 4 other vents we have on our roof are placed in the wrong spots and that they want to remove those 2 vents, patch, re-shingle, and install 4 new vents on the other side of the house for a total of 6 vents (2 existing and 4 new) as well as adding the 2 stem vents for the exhaust fans. I asked what the purpose of relocating/adding those 4 vents would be as we are not experiencing any moisture issues in the attic. The estimator explained some airflow/air pressure dynamics which made sense. I then asked if we could look at replacing the aging vents in their existing locations as an additional option to what he proposed and that's where it escalated. He responded with an annoyed "We don't just throw shit on people's roofs". and continued to say that they're the experts and they're going to do things the right way. This was a completely unnecessary response to a genuine question. I'm not trying to get you to do things the wrong way - I was asking if there was a way to minimize the level of work needed when there are functioning ventilation penetrations already in place. The response was not friendly, educational, or good customer service in any way. This experience really soured my opinion of All Surface and don't plan on working with them. I hope others do not experience the same type of interaction I did.
