Egg retrieval and transfers are every other month, it will prolong your treatment time. 3- The office does not have any electronic medical record keeper so get use to of not having access to your record. You will have to beg them to give you anything that's yours. 4- If you decide to go to another clinic they won't take your embryos because this clinic is known for its reputation. This clinic doesn't even have a proper grading system for embryos and we had no idea about this. I agree that grading isn't everything and PGT has more credibility but this just shows how behind they are in their way of practicing. 5- equipments are old and outdated. He is an ego maniac if you question anything he will come for your throat. I thought he practices in this age because he is passionate but no he does this because he has to make a living since his license was revoked for 10 years for Medicaid fraud. 6- He will charge you tons for progesterone in oil which btw you can get for 10-15 a vial on Amazon pharmacy with a prescription and without insurance. 7- If you are a difficult case, please save your money and go somewhere else. I told him I was in pain and his response was, "Let's get you pregnant so you have a real reasons to complain about pain" when I told him why he discarded our embryo without our knowledge he said, "Why did you even test the embryo if you wasn't going to discard it" I said, "I wasn't ready to discard it yet and I should've been informed," he said, "Well this is how we do it in our clinic" Stoelk if you are reading this here is my response, it wasn't your place to make a decision whether we keep the embryo or discard it. It wasn't yours to make that choice. I wish I could come for everything you have but I won't because I have better things in life to do than to waste my time on you. You failed me as a provider. You were so harsh and mean and didn't once care to give your best to my case. I came to you with so much hope and you made me lose trust in the whole medical system. Now I can't trust any of my other providers and have to question everything they do because I made the mistake of trusting you. I hope one day you get punished for how you treat vulnerable women. You are a shame in the name of a doctor. This fertility journey was already so taxing and you made it even worse for me. You never showed compassion and care. You kept labeling me as a crazy person. Dr. Chang is very thorough, listens to your concerns, and tailors your protocol specific to you. She is up to date on research. Each appointment and ultrasound, she made sure to answer all my questions and concerns. Reproductive endocrinology is an art and Dr. Chang has perfected it. Best of all, she is the sweetest doctor! Although I was happy to graduate from her clinic, I was sad to be leaving her. They even gave a thoughtful gift when we graduated of baby books and onesies - something I will forever treasure because of the journey behind it. Additionally, her staff was very kind. I really appreciated how if I ever had any questions, they were super responsive with just a call or an email away. All questions were directed to Dr. Chang, not a nurse or another doctor. I needed to call in the middle of the night for an urgent issue once and Dr. Chang responded quickly and helped me herself. Little background information if you're like me and need to know that stuff: I have stage 4 endometriosis, causing infertility and poor egg quality. We only had one normal embryo and it took! This was our first and only transfer. I was hesitant to transfer because I wanted back up embryos in case it didn't work, but Dr. Chang empowered me to give it a shot. She came up with a protocol specific to my endometriosis. There were a couple times that some meds I was sensitive to had caused a reaction and she made sure to adjust them, ultimately causing a successful transfer and live birth of my baby. We appreciated her honesty from the beginning letting us know all the potential outcomes based upon my health history given to her. She is very factual and to the point, we loved this about her. The office and staff are small, the girls at the front desk were young...it gave more of a family business vibe (although I do not believe they are family) but we didn't mind this at all. The few low reviews seem to be based upon the FD staff....we never had any issues. They were prompt and very friendly. I have primary amenorrhea, I was told I may not be able to have my own children as my PCP was unable to locate my ovarian follicles. Dr. Chang was able to locate them! were just very small. She gave me meds to grow them and more meds to stimulate ovulation. We were then given the go ahead to have timed intercourse. We got very lucky and became pregnant after the first round of treatment. I've been waiting to leave this review for 9 months now. We are so thankful for our healthy baby girl. She explains her thought process and approach to care, particularly from a Chinese medicine perspective, in such a way that I truly feel like we're partners in my health and wellness journey. I've learned so much about how my body works, and each visit is followed up with customized recommendations (example: foods that are particularly nourishing in areas I might be deficient, based on her observations of my pulse, etc.) The office at Blossom Clinic is small but cozy and inviting, with soft lighting, air filters, aromatherapy, etc. They use high-quality products (for example, I had cupping done today with organic Jojoba oil). They're located next to Whole Foods (on the left, and up the stairs, kind of hard to find--for me anyway), but very convenient for picking up some groceries before or after my visits. They do not accept insurance but do provide detailed bills that I can submit for reimbursement from my health plan. I have not met with any of the other practitioners, so I can't comment on them. Down about $50k with nothing to show for it. It's true that this is an IVF mill. Maybe they were good when they first started, but now it's just a money factory. The egg retrievals and transfers are done by whoever is scheduled to work, not the doc you are assigned to. Egg retrieval stim med protocols pretty much never change even if your wife isn't responding well to it. And even if they decide to cancel the egg retrieval, they will charge you 20%! So not only do you lose $4-5k in IVF stim meds, they'll also take $3k for doing nothing too! And the billing department... it is as bad as everyone says in the reviews. They will have random charges. If you put money down for a procedure, but health insurance hasn't yet paid a bill from previous cycles - they will just deduct it from the deposit. You'll walk in and they'll ask for another $15k. The financial coordinator supervisor basically said they can do whatever they want because they are a specialty clinic. They're funny because I worked for Aspen Dental. Aspen dental basically was sued for these types of practices. ORMs turn likely will be coming soon.

When pursuing a refund for the transfer fee that was no longer needed, we were informed that we could only be refunded 4% of what we were owed. Simply put, ORM places profit over patients and I cannot stress enough how much I would advise patients/couples to seek treatment and guidance elsewhere. The only silver lining of our experience would be to prevent others who are hoping to become pregnant from working with ORM. Additionally, other clinics that we consulted with were shocked to learn that ORM skipped incredibly basic diagnostic screenings that could have greatly informed the course of our multiple treatments and potentially increased our outcomes. Because this is hypothetical I've left it as the last part of this review, however it speaks to the consistent lack of due diligence and surprisingly limited scope of knowledge that we experience with the ORM doctors.

The service date was in March and it's AUG they just let me know and charged my card that my insurance wasn't working for only this date of service. I could have just called my insurance myself to get it figured out but i didn't get a chance to do that. STILL no invoice. My insurance clearly stated I only owned $20 on my EOB (Explanation of Benefits) and when they got reprocessed then my EBO said I own nothing. Yet even thought I already paid my copay and my EOB confirmed that copay... I got charge $230 ($115 twice) with, like I said, NO INVOICE. Want to emphasize that. They stated they resubmitted my claims but only sent me screenshots without my name attached so i'm not sure if those were for my claims. They also sent me documentation of for claim forms but the date was literally the date I ask for the forms... which was also strange. Asked for a copy of the forms with the correct dates but was not given them. My insurance company called them and asked for the proof of their resubmission to make sure they were on time to confirm its my insurance was at fault but they have not wanted to try and help by just sending them. It's a pretty simple task. Even I reach out to try and have them just share the proof to the insurance but for some reason they won't and they won't reassured me or confirmed that they have or are willing to do so. Just because insurance(s) have protocols even if it's their fault doesn't mean you should just throw it onto the patient without letting them know. Let's say they are right and that the insurance didnt process correctly. Then their contract with my insurance would still cover it still if they just sent proof and they can just reprocess it as normal. It shouldn't be out of my pocket. I'm still working with them together get this figured out. If not, i'll probably be filing a complaint with the Oregon Medical Board. I think this practice is fine in terms of actually medicine but they need serious help and understand of what is right for billing, balance billing, insurance, patient reach out etc.

Dr. Fischler has been there from the start; from prepping me for gynecological surgery at the beginning of my journey to preparing me for egg retrieval for IVF. I am proud to say that we have PGT-A normal embryos ready for transfer! She has not only administered the acupuncture to increase my odds in IVF success but she has given me guidance on lifestyle changes to better my overall health. She has relieved symptoms from a cold, has made headaches disappear, has alleviated cramps and back pain... and I've felt heard every step of the way. The place is cheaper than ORM, and unlike most other fertility clinics, OHSU is open on saturdays…read moreand sundays for insemination. A couple negatives of OHSU though is that they make you get a bunch of unnecessary blood tests done that other fertility clinics do not require. They make you pay for a consult appointment every year you are their patient. They lied and told me it would be covered by my insurance, then it wasn't, so I had to pay. The consult was a pointless waste of money, in which they just ask me where I am in my fertility journey and what my plans are now. They also make me do a pap smear (which no other local fertility clinic requires) and a(n expensive) psychological evaluation (basically asking you about your plans on open/closed donor and how/when you intend to tell your child about their other parent--why do I need to spend hundreds just to be asked these questions which are none of your business?). The doctor assigned to me (Amato) was impersonal, barely remembered anything about me, and never offered any sympathetic words or encouragement during the struggle to conceive. Tips on successful conception/implantation? Right foods to eat? Right things to avoid? What could be causing the infertility? The doctor knows less than a Google search. I felt like I knew more than she did, and that wasn't helpful. Also, when OHSU washes the ICI donor sperm for an IUI procedure, they kill about 23 million (92%) of them. So try to use IUI vials which come already washed by the sperm bank. After a few iuis here which didnt result in pregnancy, i switched to spring fertility where i did ivf and got pregnant my first cycle.

I went to my Naturopath and she gave me a massive blood test revealing extremely low progesterone (causing major inflammation) among many other deficiencies (easy to find online after some time and research on my end as well...). My Naturopath then offered several suggestions in terms of herbs, vitamins and nutritional remedies. I can confidently say my Naturopath was on my side, helping me dig deeper. Dr. Pendergrass was more interested in trying to put a Band-Aid remedy on my inflammation that would only help her pay her bills. I actually don't fault her too much for this, as this is what you get from most Med schools -- cover it up until something else happens and then prescribe more pills or intervention until it all spirals out of control and your hormones are out of whack the rest of your life or you opt to get a hysterectomy... because, what other options are there that far down the rabbit hole? I felt respected and heard throughout all my interactions with her. I had been living with bad period pain and was diagnosed with fibroids by a different doctor who referred me to her, but I figured that excruciating monthly pain was just the price of having a uterus and I should just live with it. During our first consultation Dr. Pendergrass encouraged me to not downplay the pain I was in and gave me facts and information that helped me decide to go forward with the hysterectomy, which was an option I hadn't even considered before talking to her. When I had concerns up until the morning of surgery, she took the time to discuss and answer my questions fully. The surgery went extremely smoothly, and the post-op pain at its worst was less than half of what I had previously experienced every month. Horrible birth experience, 0 stars if I could. I had planned a homebirth with midwives but when…read moremidwives unexpectedly abandoned me during labor and referred me to hospital without a medical reason, I chose OHSU because they were our backup plan and they assured me they had midwives who were trauma-informed and autism-informed who could care for me through the birth. Our experience here was traumatic for both my husband and I and our newborn! The staff were repeatedly invalidating, unsupportive of our birth preferences, not respectful of my need for privacy and a calm space, and keep pressuring me for interventions we didn't want or need (look up the Cascade of Interventions in childbirth, exactly what I was trying to avoid is what we were pressured and coerced into by the providers at OHSU who shouldn't even have the title of midwife since it means "with woman" and they were never supportive of me). Nurses and other staff kept entering the ro and pulling the privacy curtain wide open and leaving it that way when they left, pressuring me to wear the monitors, not supporting me with positions to try, and repeatedly pressuring me to augment labor with pitocin and get an epidural. They convinced me to try rupture of membranes and said it would speed up labor, but I found out later that that is not backed up by research and the research has shown it can actually slow labor progress and cause more pain, which is exactly what it did to me. We ended up having an unplanned C-section, at the very least they gave me extra stitches and surgical glue to account for my hypermobility, but they didn't allow my husband to be in the room for the C-section because of hospital policy, so neither of us got to see our child be born! They denied us the opportunity to see our child be born. I had expressed colostrum before the birth and even though our baby was born with an APGAR score of 9 they insisted on giving him all the colostrum I had expressed because they thought he was a little cold but his temperature was fine and he wasn't showing signs of cold, but they threatened to put him in the NICU and give h formula if my husband didn't consent; all of that happened before I even woke up. After the birth, I had to fight to have my birth plan followed and get our golden hours to try to initiate breastfeeding, which was much harder since baby was sleepy from the c-section. The 3 hospital lactation consultants I saw were AWFUL; 2 of them used forceful techniques that hurt my baby's neck and used shaming language, I had to ask one of them to leave because they were rough with him and the third one wasn't helpful either but at least didn't hurt my baby. None of the lactation consultant knew about the Thompson Method of breastfeeding which I took a class in during pregnancy, and is ultimately what saved our breastfeeding journey. The staff were inattentive after the birth, it took days to see the doctor after the surgery and get my questions answered. Several of the nurses were rude and intrusive, again with the barging in and leaving the privacy curtain wide open when I'm topless and trying to figure out breastfeeding and want privacy for that, but they also woke us up for stupid things in the middle of the night that were completely unnecessary when I'm hooked to vital monitors. The entire experience was so traumatic, we never felt safe and my husband was afraid to leave me and the baby at the hospital alone when he needed to get stuff from home and feed our cats because it was so awful. It felt like a prison, the only difference was the food was decent; we wanted to check out quickly after the birth once I could walk but they took forever to discharge us. I would never recommend this hospital to anyone for childbirth, not even to my worst enemy. The treatment and lack of care we endured here was traumatic and left my husband and I with flashbacks and PTSD for months after the birth; they caused us a lot of harm, doctors are supposed to "first do no harm." My husband tried to reach a patient advocate to give feedback but they never called back.
