I was admitted and ended up having cardiac surgery. The doctors are fantastic as well as the nurses. Very attentive and caring. Gave me everything I needed and made sure I wasn't in pain. The food was actually decent. The rooms are very large and had a couch and chair for visitors. Beds were comfortable. I felt very safe and housecleaning came in everyday I was there to clean and disinfect my entire room. Bad...... When I went to the ER there is only ONE check in person. Two of us in line had cardiac emergencies and they had us stand in line??? I was brought back right away and had an IV put in and EKG done. A doctor came in and asked questions. Was told I would be admitted as soon as a bed was available. Was not checked on for over 2 hours before receiving a room. I also had two flies in my ER room. ER staff not very personable or caring either. Once in room the nurses were attentive and very nice, but all testing took forever! I felt like they were dragging it on to keep me there longer. I had the same tests done over and over and I question if that was necessary. I also thought it was strange that I received fried food (chicken tenders) on the cardiac floor and no choices in regards to food were given. You get what you get. I also questioned the security. My husband said he basically walked right in and went up to my room. No ID was needed. Very odd! The rooms were very very cold! Overall good hospital. It's definitely not a Loyola or Rush, but doctors are very knowledgeable and caring. They explained everything thoroughly and I felt I got good care. They truly seemed concerned for my well being.

She had been in the hospital since Wednesday, September 2, 2026. While waiting in my mom's room, I heard a woman asking for someone to come. She had been calling for maybe 5 minutes. Then she got louder and called for someone to help her and still no one came to check on her, so I went to the door and looked down the hallway, no one was around. I was trying not to leave my mom's room because she was in the bathroom so I was trying to stay nearby in case she needed help, so I yelled out can someone come help this woman, no one came. I asked my mom if she was okay, and she said yes, so I walked down the hallway and looked around the corner where there were two nurses at the desk. I said that the woman kept calling for help and they said that they were aware. This angered me, because 3 years ago my husband died in a nursing home where he was there for a short respite. The day that we went to pick him up they said that he died. I don't know why or how many times that this woman was calling for help but for them to ignore her like that is uncalled for. The day before this happened there was a nurse's protest for better wages and more nurses. I agree that nurse's should be paid more and that there should be more of them in the hospitals, but for the two nurse's that were there they should have checked on that woman and taken care of her needs.

Went to one doctor who pushed for an MRI, and then never got back to me. Waited a few months and decided to head here (Pinnacle) and give them a go. Was in so much pain at the time that I couldn't even sit down without tears welling up. Standing at an always angle was my only relief. They saw this. They knew this. This visit occurred around spring time 2025 I went in, did the routine, signed a waiver to release my MRI to them, and got some blood work scheduled for a little later on. Left very hopeful and optimistic with how genuinely invested the doctor seemed to be in fixing me. Gave me a lot of info. I never heard back from Pinnacle. No follow up, no "hey we have your MRI results and this is what they show", no emails, no calls/voicemails, not even a letter. Nothing. Pinnacle ghosted me. The lack of follow up and being all around a caring and professional healthcare organization is not the reason for the single star rating however. The rating comes from the fact that nobody got back to me, yet I OWED THEM MONEY. I paid my copay, and thought that was it. Next thing I know, I have a collections agency calling me about a debt stemming from my visit here at pinnacle. Had absolutely no knowledge of it. And when I called, I got a woman with a nasty attitude basically telling me I'm an idiot because they always send out PAPER MAIL about money owed. So not only did I not get a letter at all, but in 2025, you can't CALL ME OR EMAIL ME WHEN YOU HAVE MY INFO?? This came at the perfect time too, because I was just recently laid off from work. So now my credit will take a hit because I NOW don't have the $300 I could've paid off months ago Nice place inside, but absolute trash. Would never recommend. Lumbosacral root pain is unlike anything I've ever experienced. The ER staff were top notch and worked hard to relieve my pain and admitted me to find out the root of the problem. Every nurse, technician, assistant, doctor, specialist, etc. was attentive and helpful. It was a neurosurgeon who discovered that a screw in my lumbar area is touching my sciatic nerve. There is nothing to be done about it as it's too risky. However, we are going to do extensive rehabilitation to build the muscle around the area. It will help to manage the pain. More about that when I begin the sessions. So, if you're looking for attentive, knowledgeable, and expert care, this hospital is the place to go. I'm grateful for everyone who helped care for me.
