Can't believe no one has yet reviewed Northwoods Cab! I recently visited friends in Wausau and was a guest at the Jefferson Street Inn. I had several trips with Northwoods Cab that were time-critical: one returning from an event that ended very late in the evening a few miles out of town and one very early from the Inn to CWA for the first flight out at the airport. Nothing but praise for the job Northwoods did. I dealt with the owner and two different drivers, and everything from the reservation process to the pickup was precisely timed, and the drive itself and drop off could not have gone better. It appears there aren't a lot of options for cab service in Wausau but I can tell you from my perspective and experience as an out-of-town visitor and frequent business traveler that Northwoods Cab delivered the goods. I actually thought the fares were extremely fair, honestly lower than I thought they'd be, especially given the distances covered. And the precise and courteous service was as good or better than I've experienced with cab services anywhere and anytime. read more

Friendly driver. Reliable. Car was disgusting but the airport was too far to "walk" and there is literally NO transportation (Uber/Lyft) in Wausau. None. This is my 2nd business trip to the area and finding transportation is extraordinarily stressful. At least these guys showed up. But I will not make a 3rd trip to Wausau without renting a car at the airport when I land. read more

I was volunteering at the Woodruff food pantry when one of your drivers aggressively approached me about how i could do that "job" when people had nicer cars in the lot than he owned, but the cars he was referencing were volunteer workers cars. I called their dispatch to report it, and the guy that answered flippant said he would ask about it, and chuckled. They are the most vile excuses for humans at this place that is supposed to transport the most vulnerable of our population. read more

Nothing short of amazing! Aaron (the driver) drove 75 miles from CWA to Minocqua to return my golf cubs, even calling me o the way to keep me updated. He was the best! I will definitely use their services again! Highly recommended! read more

I booked a taxi in advance for an early morning flight. Once the driver was at my location he informed me there would be a second pickup. I was stuck. With no other option to get to the airport, I begrudgingly got in the car. I voiced my aggravation towards the situation; the response was that there were only two drivers and multiple pickups. (Isn't that the issue of the taxi co? Then find another driver). As we got further off my intended route I realized it also just didn't feel like a safe thing to have agreed to. The driver was nice but pulling into isolated parking lots at 5am with a stranger who suggested I sit in front just didn't feel great - thankfully I didn't realize until I got out at the airport that the handle on the front door was broken off. That would have alarmed me more. I did get safely to my destination- although later than I wanted. And was even more shocked to discover that both passengers were each charged full fare. Worse company shit cars breaking down all the time the rudest dispatch in the morning she is a bitch on the phone. They talk shit about there customers was in a cab and heard everything she said about people and was really rude. Seems like they are always high on something driving. Worst experience I have ever had. Drivers stink like piss and shit. Manager goes across radio talking crap about people and drivers where u can hear all about it. WOULD NOT RECCOMEND. The owner is RUDE!!!!!!!They never answer there damn phones. And I just called to get a cab for my mom and the guy answered then hung up so i called back and he answered and said "If you blow off a cab you dont get answered" and i have LITTERALLY NEVER blown off a cab with them in my life. So makesnno sence. The guy was so unbeliavable rude and obviously cant remember his customers ​cause he must have me mistaken and I've used his service a lot and made them along of money, so to be so fricking rude when I call then hang up and not give me a chance to answer is just shitty business since. ​ read more

This cab company is the worse company, rude drivers, rude owner, cabs smell like smoke, and not to mention, they do drugs out of the cabs.

While I was in Wausau Wisconsin to see my brother when he was in the hospital, I need a ride back to the airport. I found this cab company they were a flat rate of $30 to go from the hospital to the airport. Being a small town It wasn't to bad. The driver had a older model van can do it was fairly clean. She got me to the airport in a reasonable time. All in all I would use them again. read more

Have been using NW Cab for the last year or so and always had great service. In the beginning the drivers were courteous and friendly and didn't look like one of those "scary, should I get in this cab? driver" look. I used them over the weekend and to start they were 15 minutes late. Then when I got in the cab and asked the driver how his night was going, I guess he felt that was an open invitation to bash his coworkers. Wow! Cut them down to the core, including the owner. If you don't like your job, then quit. I don't think one of your cab fares was meant to be your counselor for my 15 minute ride. I felt like at the end of the ride he should have paid me for listening. Not what I wanted to listen to for the start of a fun night out. I think your work issues need to be discussed with the owner/boss, not your cab fares. read more

The "cab" showed up twenty minutes late and the vehicle was a death trap. No air conditioning on a 90 degree day, so we drove the 18 miles from CWA airport to Stevens Point at 80 mph with the windows down. The vehicle was a run down minivan filled with assorted junk (belonging to the driver I guess) and the rear passenger door handle did not close securely, with the outside handle broken entirely. If there had been an emergency, first responders would not have been able to get me out. The driver was personable, but I was literally praying the entire trip that we would arrive home safely. I don't know how this van could possibly pass any kind of safety inspection to be licensed as a taxi. read more

I called and was told it would be a hour and I said no problem thanks an hour and a half later I tried calling numerous (5) times and no answer. Really put out by this. I really needed that cab. No cab no answer on business phone. Hmmmm read more

They used to provide more superior service but in the last 6 months the service has changed...not as efficient as they used to be!

Very rude drivers, half the time they don't even show up or take a very long time getting to you. They were really good when they first opened up, but in the past couple of years have been pathetic. Go with All American read more

Needed to take car in for repairs so called on Saturday setting up a pickup for Tuesday. They never showed, called afyer 15min late with no answer so I walked home. Called later in the day when car was done, said they would be 30 minutes. Its been an hour and not a word. Do not count on them. read more
