People have a schedule that needs to be kept. Businesses close, needing their workers with special needs picked up by a certain time, if not Plover Taxi would just as soon leave them standing on the curb, no matter the weather outside! This is DISGRACEFUL and NO WAY for a service business to operate. I understand they get random calls for rides throughout the day, but people with scheduled times should be honored and the last minute people calling should be understanding, realizing other people have appointment/ scheduled services. Plover Taxi should also be letting these random callers know they need to wait.

I had several trips with Northwoods Cab that were time-critical: one returning from an event that ended very late in the evening a few miles out of town and one very early from the Inn to CWA for the first flight out at the airport. Nothing but praise for the job Northwoods did. I dealt with the owner and two different drivers, and everything from the reservation process to the pickup was precisely timed, and the drive itself and drop off could not have gone better. It appears there aren't a lot of options for cab service in Wausau but I can tell you from my perspective and experience as an out-of-town visitor and frequent business traveler that Northwoods Cab delivered the goods. I actually thought the fares were extremely fair, honestly lower than I thought they'd be, especially given the distances covered. And the precise and courteous service was as good or better than I've experienced with cab services anywhere and anytime.

This is my 2nd business trip to the area and finding transportation is extraordinarily stressful. At least these guys showed up. I was told they're "running late" and to schedule with a longer transportation time on "pay day." What pay day? On a Tuesday? And if that's a known busy day/time, why wouldn't the dispatcher have said so when I called yesterday and scheduled an earlier pickup? One of two things is happening here. Either they overbook and over-promise on pickup time (not good) OR they don't honor their schedule in order to squeeze in additional last-minute fares (also not good). Now I'm going to miss my appointment, but l still have to pay for it. Awesome. Will be investigating other options in the future because this isn't okay--especially since the dispatcher was rude and blamed ME. Nope. Not my fault. The pickup at each hotel was on-time according to our reservation and calling them when we were ready to leave the reception was within several minutes from our call.
