I came on my first visit I was completely impressed by the atmosphere, they even have charges for your cell phone if you need it. I sat down in the lady kept asking me if I have insurance, I informed her that I did but she keep asking as if she didn't believe me. Then Kelly took very through x-rays and she knows how to put you at ease as if you are at Disney world. The people here are great, but some rough patches with communication. It was discovered that I needed a lot of work done, including a root canal, which I feared would be the case. So I set an appointment to get this done, but I set an earlier appointment to get the crown done, so that I wouldn't lose the filling I had from A previous time. So when I can to the appointment, the lady said okay, I understand we are doing a root canal, and clean the left side of your mouth. and was confused because I was there for something completely different, I think one of the things that should be done is have something written out which plan of action is being taken at each appointment, so their is no confusion, especially in cases when their is a lot of work to be done. They made it work with my insurance, that is the thing that I am most grateful about this place, Dr Papp is legendary, I have a maybe a handful of dentist in my life, and from my experience, he is truly, a cut above the rest. when I went to my 4th appointment, the root canal that final got done, was a supper-smooth process, he dialogs great with customers, and he is world class. If you get a choice I would go With "big papa!" That's what I call him in my head. This location doesn't discuss preventive care much with patients, so it is important to make sure you ask them, to keep the work they do intact. If you make an appointment, they will not leave you in the dark, the with email you and text you often to remind you, so they have great follow-up, But If you can't make an appointment let them know because they have a big customer base They bake cookies fresh every day so they definitely make an effort, to make a great atmosphere, But just a few things to work out.

I don't know how to accurately rate this…read more My boys have been coming here since they were born. It was our first and only dentist and orthodontist location. Some of the staff is amazing and friendly. Dr. Price is super nice. And it's weird, very often I have GREAT experiences with the owners/doctors, but it's ALWAYS the staff where the problems are. Some of the staff is gruff and mean - and told my eldest "she's getting ready to retire and is tired of dealing with all of this" (this was after she called his mom to complain we weren't there yet - I was CHECKING IN during this time, and when she discovered this, she came over and started yelling at the woman checking me in). So, now my biggest gripe. Their "billing" department. My son has braces. It happens. I make payments every time I take my son in (split parenting - sometimes mom takes him, sometimes I take him, so I may go in 1-2 months at a time). I always ask - "what do I owe?" and would make a payment on his braces. No big deal, right? Except they WERE NOT giving me the total I owed. They only would tell me *THAT MONTH'S PAYMENT.* So when I would pay, they would charge me "what was due that MONTH" not that "I owed TWO MONTHS." So they let that balance accumulate to eventually tell his mom - not me - that "he wasn't making payments according to the contract." His mom signed the contract. We have an agreement - she paid the initial cost, I'm covering the monthly payments. They don't send me the bill. They don't email me. They don't call me. They waited until my son's bracket came loose and told her "they'll help him this time, but we need to get caught up on the bill." They didn't bother to tell me the numerous visits because "they don't want to have finance discussions in front of your children." Which leads me to ask... what's the worse conversation? Once every month or two, saying "you owe two payments" or waiting until the time comes to remove the braces and saying "You are behind ten or more payments, and your child's braces won't be removed until you are caught up." It's ridiculous, right? A small, slightly uncomfortable conversation of "you owe two payments" or an epic "you owe a thousand dollars or more" at the end? You don't want to have that conversation in front of my child, but I have to call and have a bigger conversation of you NOT TELLING ME what my balance is when I ask, because you think it'd be uncomfortable, so now we can have this over the phone, in front of my kids, but not at your office? How would anyone think that is appropriate? It's stupid. They need to get their act together.

After her cleaning we met Dr. Joel, he came in blasting bubbles which was super fun! He did his assessment of girlies teeth and we talked about good oral hygiene and methods to keep cavities away. I didn't know that tooth extractions didn't have to have a terrible recovery period. Instead of being in pain/in a medicated haze all day, I actually had the energy and desire to deep clean my whole house top to bottom, which is my favorite way to start a weekend. I even shampooed my carpets!!! I never in my life thought I would experience that level of skill and precision from a dentist, not to mention the care and compassion you showed, knowing I was fearful and anxious about the procedure. During the injections - the worst part - I felt reassured and encouraged. I really wish I would have found you sooner, but I'm so, so thankful that I went with my instincts and chose your practice for my final tooth extractions. You really are incredibly skilled at what you do, and a tremendous credit to your profession. Forever thankful, Bee

I dislike having to update my review to such a low score, but after going to a new dentist and…read morereceiving such drastically improved care, I can't let my 5 star rating stand. I started off absolutely loving Linworth Family Dental. I truly enjoyed my visits and cleanings in the beginning. The staff seemed close knit and their website appeared to bolster that sense of closeness. But after a couple of years, I noticed my favorite hygienists suddenly no longer working there. It started off with one or two staff, but then it felt like at the next appointment, I didn't recognize any of the hygienists. I understand that people move, change jobs, etc, but I was a little concerned. Another reason for my low rating is that with each passing appointment, more and more advertisements for beauty procedures (like Botox) were put on the walls. I've seen plenty of offices with pamphlets, which I understand, but it got to the point where they had a huge retractable banner in the lobby and pictures of clients (which happened to be staff) taped to the walls of every single exam room. It felt more like a cosmetic spa than a dentist office. An additional reason is that the cleaning during my last visit was very sloppy and rushed. The hygienist was a young girl who kept telling me about how stressed she was for losing the key fob to her dad's Mercedes Benz. She kept stopping to tell me the story instead of focusing on the cleaning. When it came time to put fluoride on my teeth, she globbed so much on that even my fiancé told me he'd never seen so much caked on someone's teeth (and lips) before. And the worst part? I was due to have my gums measured, which she told me at the beginning of my appointment, but she forgot to do it. I was so frustrated by the end that I didn't even bother to press. I just wanted to go. It was also at this appointment that I found out the dentist I had been seeing had left the practice. My last reason for why I won't be returning is because of the receptionists. My fiancé accompanied me to my last appointment and waited in the lobby while I had my cleaning. As we exited the building, he said he could hear the receptionists behind the front desk speaking poorly about a patient. He said it was uncomfortable sitting in the lobby hearing it all. I find that disheartening and unacceptable. TL;DR: Linworth Family Dental used to be a wonderful dentist office but the quality has gone downhill and the care is nowhere near what it used to be. I cannot in good faith recommend this practice anymore.
