I really had a good experience with dentists before I knew Dr. Latif, but after I knew him, I discovered that dentistry is not just an ordinary job where one can come and do his/her work with a daily routine! It has to be a sort of art, like painting or writing a poem! Dr. Latif was chatting with me about an interesting topic, when he said, "you're done"! I couldn't believe until now that my tooth has already been removed! There was not any kind of pain even four hours after "surgery." I looked up dental clinics nearby me and saw the good reviews Ohio Cosmetic Dentists had, so I decided to make my appointment here. Needless to say, best decision I've ever done. As soon as you walk in, Darlene will greet you and make you feel right at home! She made the whole paperwork process smooth and not confusing at all! I was very happy to know that they also take student health insurance, so that was a big plus. I had my appointment set up with Dr. Jamal. He very much succeeds in making you feel comfortable during the whole appointment. Having been to other dentists, there's always this feel of being judged due to not flossing or not being on top of your dental care. Dr. Jamal really emphasizes a no judgement zone during his appointment and helps you with any issues you may have. Beware he is not an experienced orthodontist. I came here for a transfer braces case, he charged me the same to start a new braces treatment and when I asked for clear porcelain brackets he said he doesnt do them even though it states on his website. Had to cancel the treatment after 13 months of getting nowhere with my braces despite Dr. Sam promising a 9 month to 12 month full treatment, he then said that I still have 12 more months. I had my payments completed at 9 months and when I cancelled and asked for a %50 refund because I still needed 12 months, I was kicked out of his office and racially slurred, he also discriminates patients. All of that aside inside the clinic he always seems pissed off makes you feel like you're unwanted and barely educates the patients about the health of their teeth. Do not fooled by the 5 star reviews, the staff ask you to review them from the first visit so most of the reviews are about staff behaviour. read more

Like others have said, Latiff is highly rated and very knowledgeable. I liked his work as well. The issue I had was the office staff's less than honest assessment that I am covered by my insurance for services at this dentist. Sure, I was covered, OUT OF NETWORK that is. So that meant instead of paying for 50% on a root canal I was only covered for 20%. That is a big deal when the procedure cost nearly $900. And then a cleaning and exam was an eye popping $300. On top of that there were surprise extras that popped up later further inflating the bill. Their excuse? They really don't know what the insurance company will pay although they miraculously produced an estimate of what my insurance would pay had I been in the network! I really don't understand how any medical office does not supposedly know what the insurance company will actually pay. They deal with insurance companies on a daily basis. It's not like they weren't given my group plan # before I showed up. This seems disingenuous to be telling people that they are "covered" only for the patient to later find out that not really and then they are stuck with a bill that is already overly inflated. Check with your insurance company first before going here since this office doesn't seem to know any better. If you are in the network you will like his work but watch out for the extra potential costs that are thrown at you even after the estimate which may or may not be covered by insurance. read more

I have always been scared of dentists. Had braces when I was small and needed to have 3 teeth pulled out since I had a lot of crowding. That experience put the fear of dentists which lasted until recently. I went to Dr Latiff mainly because of the reviews saying he does painless dentistry. Sure enough, I was not disappointed. I had scaling and root planing initially, and has been going to them for regular teeth cleaning. My hygienist, Faith, is also very nice. She puts me at ease whenever I visit. Too bad. Where should I start. When I saw the facilities and the certifications and my classmate's talk about him, I thought that I will end up with a beautiful smile. I have done 3 teeth. One is in the very front, and this is what makes me sad whenever I smile in front of a mirror or a camera. He put an ugly crown that doesn't fit with the other one. I redid it with him again and I thought it will be good because it's the second time, but it is not. It is bigger, sticks out and whiter. He said come back another time and I will see it and try to do something. I called the office to take an appointment but they said your insurance doesn't work any more here, you have to go to his other clinic. By the way the appointments from month to month and he is too busy to listen to you while visiting. The other tooth is in the back, I had a trouble with the man who works with him at his clinic. He damaged my tooth and it stayed hurt until I called them for emergency. I saw Latif and he said It was flame; he put a crown and it still hurts when I bite strong on it. At the same time the crown is big also. I can ignore this, but really what makes me sad and upset the tooth that is in front. I went to another clinic, but they said the insurance doesn't cover the crown twice in 5 years. It is really expensive and I hate smiling in pictures . Every time I see my old pictures I am smiling in, I feel bad that I destroyed my beautiful smile. Even the balloon that was top of the tooth and I don't know its name didn't disappear. It was ordeal.
