I've had my storage unit for over a year. This place is the best. Jay is usually my go to, but overall the staff is great. Very clean facility, I like knowing I won't find any rats or bugs in my unit. The prices are also great for the size of the units they have available. You will not regret getting a unit here. What I like most, is that they have an app that you pay a one time fee I believe and you can open and close the gate as you arrive and exit. It's very convenient especially on rainy days. read more

Me and a buddy of mine were moving a old truck out of storage. We needed to push the vehicle out to the front as they did not allow tow trucks inside the premises, which is fine. we just needed to get it to the front so when the tow came we could have it ready. Even before we have it fully out this guy came out letting us know we have to move it off the premises. Would not even allow a few min while the tow arrived. Considering how long and how much business they were given. You'd think they'd allow that simple courtesy. Not only did he come out and rushed us off for no reason, he was just being an asshole. People make sure that you get ALL you questions asked especially about hidden fees from this storage place I just had my time waisted by customer service and thw kid they had working at the facility I was very clear about my needs and Basiclly when I get there the feew start adding up that cpuld have saved so much of my time coming all the way across town. So basiclly, I ask for a drive up unit they have me a price, I explained to him kid twice what I needed and told him I have insurance for my HARLEY and says come on down your all set.... Ya right There is only 2 drive up uinys 10 x 20 when he reasured me that they had a 10 x10 the that I needed renter or home owners insurance to park my Harley in the unit plus $15 more to Basiclly join their club; and ther was UP TO $18 Discount towards the unit if I wrote a 3 line review about this storage unit. Never have I been told over the phone one thing and hear and showed another. I Don't appreciate this waist of my time and this kid had no remorse about any of it he didn't even try to offer me any type of solution to my Matter just because silent drive me to my truck like I was a cheap date and dropped me lile I owed him something lossy server and lies not a good way to get a customer to come in... I have been using the storage for over 3 years. The facility is superb. However so far, I have encountered two associates that really need training in customer service. I have found them to lack basic knowledge in how to treat clients by acting as if they own the business. They show no concern to customers. These are those that are hidden behind the telephone that they use from the offices. One of them is male dealing with home owners insurance and the other one is the female doing assessment/investigation. Both of them don' deserve the positions. They should learn manners with special emphasis on how to interact with customers. I have found them corrosive and ignorant I am sorry to say!! read more

The guest service is amazing. They have a great attitude and they have a clean location. They make you feel welcome and the rates are incredible. I have a 5x12 and the ceiling is super long so I can stack my stuff high. TIPS FOR STORING YOUR STUFF: Plates are less likely to break if packed vertically like records. Keep and label any hardware for disassembled belongings in small plastic bags. read more

I like staying in the house and looking at movies, ordering different types of food,like healthy foods ,and lots of drinks.

This location would have gotten 5 stars until I had to move in with my movers. I was never told that my movers had to be insured. I had an insured moving company that used independent movers and I was told that they were not allowed to move in my items. Never had a storage unit tell me that the individual movers had to be insured. Scrambled to find a new location (which was much better GO US Storage!) and I lost my movers!!! They lost good business with this crazy movers insurance issue! read more

Oh my gosh! This is crazy rental policy, we want to move out Nov 2 and they wanted us to pay the full amount of $260 for the whole month! That's totally crazy! The answering service is also not helping cuz they will not connect you to the main people you need to talk to especially when the truck had an emergency break down, we had to wait for an hour to get hold of them, no other option but to walk in the office, their answering service is of no help. They wanted you to check in and write a review to get a discount but not sure if those people who wrote the review just wanted to get a discount for reviewing, this could be a good trick for other people whose looking at Yelp for storage place. BEWARE of the contract you are signing. When I signed up it was couple of days before the end of the month and they prorated the amount for the remaining of the month, what about moving out? Two days you have to pay for a month? Such a policy! Do they rent to others the remaining days that you've already moved out but you paid for it because they don't prorate the payment when you move out? How is that I was able to rent almost at the end of the month? Something to think about. Vivian was great and friendly in fairness when I was looking for a storage. For people looking for a storage out there, you've got to know this policy before signing. The call center mentioned you needed to give them 10 days notice before moving out not mentioning no prorate on the payment. Why are the call center there for anyways? They're giving conflicting information. You need time to walk in the office to really get your issues resolved. read more

I have had 2 different storage units as of late. I recently consolidated my other storage unit at some other property into my unit here at Norwalk. There is a reason for that. The property is well maintained and the stuff you store doesnt have a "smell" to it. Some places have a "smell"...trust me. Why 4 stars and not 5? I wish that they didnt have to increase my cost per month (i guess inflation is the word), but it is what it is. They are very competitive with rates so its not biggie. Also, they have monthly specials where you have the ability to pre-pay and maybe get some sort of cost incentive. I love dealing with Vivian (i believe she is the manager). She is always super friendly and nice!!! Definitely pay her a visit and she'll get you taken care of. read more

Great facility! Went to other storage facilities before stumbling on this one through yelp. Lets just say those "other" properties fell short in crucial areas. Smaller than advertised units with flimsy cardboard walls and not to mention poor customer service. No bueno. I'm so happy I found this property, it was like a breath of fresh air. All the units I observed were clean and secure, the lot is under constant surveillance, and great customer service on the phone and in person by Lajoi. Pretty much anything you can ask for and expect from a business, and they certainly deliver. Lajoi gave me a tour of the facility, showed me a few units, and informed me about property security and policies. It really was a easy decision to make after receiving that level of service. Check them out, you won't be disappointed! read more

People are extremely friendly here. Got some good move in deals. Price is decent too. They require 30 day notice to move out, but i was able to get out in 22 days to prevent another month being charged. They also made exceptions for extended hours a couple of times for me. Would highly recommend. read more

The place is clean and neat and I feel like my unit is very safe. When I originally started storing there I signed up for a much smaller unit than what I actually needed and budgeted for the smaller size. I had no idea I was going to need so much space! Within a few days I realized that I was going to need to upgrade to a larger more expensive unit. When I called Vivienne, she was exceptionally kind, moved me to a larger unit and stayed within my budget...They are GREAT!! read more

Great place if you like getting treated like a criminal every time you go through that gate, accused of not putting in my code when I just got out my truck and punched it in... on top of that I get a call from the manager telling me I have to code in every time not once did I give my name but then again with all their cameras and computers they can find out who I am but not check if I punched my code in?? Things have certainly changed over the past 2 years that I've been here and they lost my business off of a single $9 charge that they refused to remove from my account. They continue to have rate increases and now instead of doing that they are making you pay for the insurance on your unit that they used to cover. That in itself may be understandable, but I wasn't notified of this change. When I tried to make my payment online it had this added charge so I called. I could not make a partial payment to cover the unit but not the insurance. They said I could provide home owners insurance to have the fee removed. I stated it would be a while before I could get it and go down there and they said no problem. When I got there, the whole story had changed. Not only did they tell me they would not remove the $9 fee until the following month, they added on a late payment charge that they also would not remove even though I had spoken to them on the phone about the situation. The lady I spoke with was extremely rude and short with her answers. She did not want to hear anything that I had to say and just wanted to collect as much money as possible. When I asked her if $9 was really worth losing a two-year customer over she just said "well that's your choice". none of the employees that I encountered that day or the day I moved out where at all friendly. This place used to have people that would say hi to you and smile, but now they treat their customers as if they are in the way. Obviously they also lie because when I spoke to the gentleman on the phone he had told me I could get the charge removed. My advice is to take your storage business elsewhere. read more

Norwalk self storages take $5 off the rent for customers who provide positive reviews. Their website states, "When you need self storage, you want to know that your belongings are secure and protected. For your convenience and peace of mind, we offer 24-hour video and security". Don't count on the security or 24 hour video and there is NO SECURITY on site. My RV was broken into resulting in over $1,000 worth of damage and stolen items. They have a no responsibility clause in their contract. Buyer beware! Your stuff is not secure despite their strong claim. read more

I'm new here, on my first month. but I thought I would let people know that this a fantastic facility, very clean and run by very nice people. My first encounter was with Rafael who succeeded in convincing me that this is the place I would want to be. I have been pleased with my decision. They let me use the truck to move in on any day I needed it, just give them a little notice to make sure nobody is using it. Everybody that works here has been very polite and helpful. I have even seen them walking the site, to backup up and not only rely on the video surveillance - I feel my 'Stuff' will be safe and secure here :) This facility is located on the property that used to be Dr. Ott's the Veterinarian - he was here like forever ! back in the 1950's anyway. A local Vet is as well known as the local post office used to be. read more
