For our connecting flight, we took Norwegian Airlines from Oslo, Norway to Los Angeles, California. Checking in at the gate was a headache, but that was probably due to Oslo airport itself rather than the airline. Way too crowded at the Gate area because of the remodeling being done in the area. The plane was terrific! Their Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft is comfortable to fly in. They have a wonderful in flight entertainment system. Good selection of tv shows, movies, games, and more to choose from. I like the dimming feature they have on their windows. No window shades needed. We pre-ordered meals for the long flight when we booked our tickets. The meals tasted alright. The pilots did a fine job, and the crew was pretty good too. For the price, I would continue to use Norwegian Airlines. Despite all the extra fees and flight delays, they are still a good deal.

Flew with Norwegian from the states. Customer service at this airport is okay not the friendliest. I had to recheck my luggage for my next leg to Tromso. I didn't know that the self service baggage drop I was trying to use was closed... The light was green, screen was on... but the little gate was blocking the baggage belt. The counter attendant gave me attitude telling me "It's not in service" I told her well.. I didn't know that. As for the flight... it's okay. You have to pay for your food. USB charger. Let's see how my next leg to Tromso goes. Flight to Oslo was on time! That's always good!

Have no complaints about this airline. Baggage check-in was a cinch. I actually did the whole check-in process over at the train station (Oslo S central station) and then just dropped my bag off at one of the baggage drop off belt. It was incredibly easy and hassle-free. On my way boarding the plane walking through the jetbridge, I noticed the jet's tail painted with "6000th Boeing 737" which I thought was pretty neat. The plane is of the 737-800 type and is relatively new. The actual flight took 40 minutes from Oslo to Stavanger and only 20% of the seats were filled. Not sure if the load capacities are the same with many of the Norwegian flights but if it isn't, I guess I lucked out on this particular flight.

Horrible airline, doesn't offer refunds got to my flight after waiting in their line while it was 9:02 am my flight was at 10 am they did not allow me to board and refused to refund. They don't even have a customer service center and when they booked another flight two days later they added 100 dollars of hidden fees, I wish I could give a negative amount of stars. read more

My flight was delayed 6 hours and Norwegian is refusing to compensate me. All I am asking for is the exact amount I paid for the flight. I am entitled to this by law! It is written in EC 261/04 that the airline must compensate the passenger if the flight is delayed more than 5 hours. Norwegian is claiming extraordinary circumstances which is completely ridiculous. They say my flight was delayed because an earlier flight had structural damages. Unless this was caused by crazy weather or terrorists it is not extraordinary! They are also refusing to give me any more details about the structural damage. On top of this, they took over 3 months to respond to my claim and only did so once I chased them. They also refuse to escalate my case to a manager and every time I email them they respond with "we would like to kindly advise you that as your email has raised no new issues, we consider this matter closed and will not be able to respond to any further communication." This is beyond terrible customer service. I am appalled at this treatment and have filed a complaint with a 3rd party agency. They need to be held accountable! read more

Hi, I recently travel with Norwegian Airline and it was the worst experience i have ever had. First of all, as a "low cost" company, spending 1100$ to flight from Los Angeles to Nice in France, plus all the money you got to spend on food and all, i don't call it low cost, and honestly I wouldn't have booked it if i knew i have to spend 160$ for luggage. But anyway money isn't the real issue here. I booked my ticket 4 month in advance to have the perfect date that correspond with my job. I left my family's houses in Nice at 3:45am to take my first plane. then I arrived in Paris and I was already not happy to wait 6 hours for my second flight with your company but it is what it is. but once I arrive there i see on the board that our flight will be delayed. No explanations, nobody in the airport able to give us more information, it is 9am and I have no idea when I am going to be able to go back home. They are finally telling me that the flight will be the following day (January 5th) early in the morning but they don't know when exactly they gave me 3 different time between 1 am to 3 am. I go on your website and it says 2:45 am, there is no reason given for the delay. They tell me to wait 11am to see people from your company and talk to them. during my 2 hours wait I called you guys and you were not sure either the time on anything that was going on. Telling me I will get a voucher for food. So what I am supposed to wait 17 hours at the airport? 11am finally come and they make us wait 30 min until they decide what to tell everyone. They announce us that we will go to an hotel until the next flight and that the food will be given there at night and a shuttle will be waiting for usa 3am but I had to wait until 1:30 am to have an exact place to go to the Ibis hotel. once there the hotel wasnt aware yet so they made us all wait in the Lobby. 3pm I have a key finally. the "food" that was given was a "buffet" full of "salad" with plenty of Mayonnaise or fish, which I don't eat so I had to buy myself dinner. Then I keep asking if a shuttle will be there they said they don't know come back later. you have the train but it starts at 4am and the company asked us to be at the airport by 4am so they told me that I should get a taxi, For real??!! then I didn't sleep not knowing what was going on, I come downstairs at 2:45 am and Oh, a shuttle was there but I wasnt even aware of it, what If I didnt come down at that time? Once arrive at the airport, they said we are 45 min early and we have to wait. we wait, we have to buy food again, and the flight is 45min late on the top of the 15 hours that it was already late. Then on the top of that I end up being seated on the exit seat, which shouldnt be consider as a seat since the leg come on the planethat in coming inside of the seat space. Obvisouly we have to buy food again and water for the 12 hours flight. And on the top of all of this, I missed 1 day of work which is 150$ lost. and having my boss really upset. the whole situation was so uncomfortable not knowing anything, zero communication, no text, no email, no nothing! spent 100Euros with my card that charge me fees everytime i use it because i had to stay 19 more hours in France than expected. Havent slept in over 36 hours ( yes obviously not possible to sleep in the hotel, neither the exit seat on your plane!) I am not a person that usually complain but you made the end of my first vacation in a long time a real nightmare. so frustrated and upsetting. This is the message I sent them but No Worries after 2 months going after them for some credit they want to send me 55$ back, woaw , not even covered the food I spent neither the day lost at work. A joke company. read more

One of the WORST experiences I ever had traveling by plane. It is cheap indeed, but the seats are very small and uncomfortable. They are not consistent with their checked baggage policy -we paid for it on the the way to Europe and didn't pay on the way back. Anyway it feels like they are only thinking of making money at every step of the way. I don't recommend at all!!! read more

Was told I would be charged $2 for a change in flight difference after using my cashpoints from a cancelled flight during covid-19. When I checked my card statement I had been charged the full $250 for the new ticket. When I called they would not refund the money and told me it was because I used Safari when I was booking and sometimes it does that. It does not warn on the website not to use safari. And also thats not my problem, I agreed to pay $2. Horrible that they don't fix the mistake that they are aware of and is clearly not my fault. read more

Yes, it's cheap, and the Dreamliner aircraft is good, BUT: We arrived Ft. Lauderdale from Gatwick, England on time. Then waited 30 minutes for a BUS. Then 2 1/2 hours for our bags. Yes, 2 1/2 hours in baggage claim. And the pilot says: "we can't control the ground crews". Well, Norwegian, either negotiate a better deal with FLL, or don't fly there, OR tell your passengers to add 2.0 hours to their travel time. Unacceptable service. read more

Ridiculous and ugly company, charging 750Kr!!!! Yes Karl, $83!!!! for the carry on weighing more than 10 kg! And after I paid the amount for classic carry on which every company allows to take on board for free, they took it from me and placed it with luggage!!! This company should be forbidden to offer its services. read more

Norwegian Airlines is one of the worst airlines I have ever flown with. First, the system crashed when I was trying to book my ticket from JFK to Rome, and when I went to rebook it the price had jumped $70. When I called to see if I could book at the original price because of their system crash, they absolutely refused and were completely unhelpful. I ended up having to book at the higher price. Furthermore, I made an account with Norwegian and did not realize that the name I created my account with was the name that would be imported when I booked my ticket. Therefore, I entered my shortened/nickname, and that ended up showing on my travel document instead of my legal name. I didn't notice this until right before my trip and when I called to try and change it they said it would be $260 to change it. They said this was not a "small change" even though it was a matter of 3 letters difference. Again, they were completely unhelpful in trying to solve my problem and insisted on charging me. When I asked if I could do it online the man on the phone said it would be under my reservations when I logged in. I told him I didn't see it, he asked if I wanted to pay over the phone, I said no, and he hung up on me. Worst customer service I have ever encountered. If you don't need to fly Norwegian, don't do it. You'll be scammed out of everything. read more

Got a return trip ticket OSL - OAK. On the trip back our flight was delayed, the ground crew at OAK airport informed us that they needed to wait for a fax from Oslo to be able to fly. After waiting for over an hour we were told that they can not get the fax as it was already late in the afternoon in Oakland so it is around midnight in Oslo. SO our flight was cancelled and was rescheduled for 7 AM in the morning. They provided us with dinner and hotel to stay for the night. At around 4 AM I got a call in my room informing me that there has been further delay and now it is scheduled at 3:50 PM in the afternoon. Once we finally get on board at the next flight, the pilot informed us that the cause of the delay was because the plane had undergone a maintenance and somehow they did not have the sign off. So the plane was not authorized to fly. Then they have to fly someone in to check and sign off the authorization....This is really unprofessional. The total delay was over 20 hours. I tried to file a complaint and due to EU regulation passenger can get compensated for the delay. However, Norwegian had claimed that this unforeseen technical problem and they are not obliged to pay the compensation fee. I am appealing to the Norwegian Air Passenger Complain Handling Body now. Norwegian need to honour their passengers' right! read more

In going to Scandinavian countries, we booked Norwegian Airline. We were surprised that they charge extra fee for buying the tickets on a credit card. We flew on many different airlines worldwide, major ones as well as small discounted ones. But, it is our first time running into one that charges such a fee for using credit card. Their online reservation form has blank spaces only for the first name and the last name; no space for the middle name. Right after we made the reservation, we found that TSA would require the name on the ticket to be identical as what the passport shows. We called the Norwegian Airline and asked to put our middle names in our reservation. They said the fee would be $60 per ticket to do it. It is just a terrible airline to fly on. The Norwegian airline is just like a third world country airline. read more

Sorry, but Norwegian was not accommodating to this traveler. Snowstorm in Olso delayed my flight from Prague through Oslo to Florida. A thousand stranded passengers were stuck in Oslo airport for six hours before getting a hotel voucher, 50 miles away, to a hotel. Had to pay out of pocket for ground transportation which, after two months, is not recuperated. My baggage, which was included on my original flight, was my charged responsibility (over $100). I will never use this airline again through Europe and neither should you. Stick to BA, VA, Aircanada or an American flight when traveling between EU and USA. read more

This is the spirit airlines of international flights. There is no rhyme and reason to how much they charge for checked luggage. I have never had to pay for a checked bag before getting on a flight usually they check it to final destination free of charge. They did that on my flight from London to Helsinki but my flight from Oslo to Nyc I was charged $90 to check a carryon that I took on 3 previous flights. If you want anything to eat or drink bring it with you or pay for your meal on advance of flight they won't give anything. I was given a window seat with no window. I personally will never do this again. read more

Took Norwegian Airlines from Copenhagen to LA and either them or Berlin Air lost my luggage. So after charging me 60 euro to check my luggage at air Berlin. Norwegian Air charged me $16 to deliver my lost luggage to my house. Another con is the way they serve meals. Those that prepay get their meals and then they close the snack bar so that you are salivating until after everyone eats and then you can spend $15 for a sandwich and chips. Pretty smart yet conniving. read more

I hate to leave bad reviews on any business, but I feel this is the only way to express my frustration, and hopefully change the things for the better for other fliers, since the customer support is ineffective and not very helpful at all. In short, I tried to book a flight on their website and after customary steps entering my information, selecting luggage and seats, I was prompted to enter my payment method. Once I typed my cc info, I pressed "pay" and after a few seconds of processing the payment, I got notified that the price changed in the minutes it took me to complete this process, and that I couldn't complete the booking. The kicker is that they still are holding the funds on my credit card and it is going to take days to get the money back to my account because "nobody from that department works on weekends" so I basically don't have the flight and I can't use the funds for at least 3 or more days. I understand that the prices fluctuate, but it took minutes for me to complete the reservation, and, if the price changed in that time, I should at least be able to use my money to book another flight or to pay more for the same flight. Instead, my funds are being held by Norwegian, and I don't think holding peoples money due to your own fault is a very good business practice at all. read more

I recently had the opportunity to be a chaperone for a high school travel group of 38 people. Upon my return flight we flew from Athens, Greece to Los Angeles, CA with a layover in Oslo, Norway on Norwegian Air. At the gate checkin when getting my boarding pass for both flights I was asked if I was going to check any bags. I was able to carry my bag on for the trip there without any issue, and knew I was under their 10kg weight limit so I said no. The employee did not mention,or offer to measure the bag and let me go. Flight was late in departing, which happen no big deal. Get to Oslo and had to run to catch my next flight with Norwegian. Upon reaching the gate just before boarding the flight to Los Angeles, they pull me aside and tell me my bag is too big to carry on and that I'd have to check it. I'm a reasonable person, so I agreed to do so, and am then informed that I would have to pay to check it, which needed up being around $85 for 1 duffle bag, weighing less that 10kgs. Flight is already late so rather than make a scene I pay it and board the plane. Once we land, I find out that this exact situation also happened to two other people in my travel group alone, and who knows if it happened to anyone else. I reached out to their customer service dept. once I got home asking for a refund. It took 3 weeks for someone to respond with "our baggage policy is 10kgs, and the dimensions allowed are ...." I responded back with something to the effect of "why were they not enforced until boarding the last leg of my trip, and why did I have to pay, when I had no other checked baggage?" They responded to that with "We have to trust our employee's judgement" and "we cannot continue to correspond with you." without addressing the fact that I had to pay for my one checked bag, while most of my travel group was able to check 1 bag for free. Last couple bits of information. My first flight that I was allowed to carry on, was a 737 800 class plane which seemed to be full. My connecting flight was a 787 dreamliner class plane, which was both larger with more storage space, and had both empty seats and empty overhead compartments. read more

Worst airline ever! They lost our bags after being rude to us when we checked in at lax. Then they lied and said the bags were on the plane which made us feel better but when we landed our bags were not there. I'm now in Paris with no clothes, contacts, medicine, toiletries, and my warm jacket. Every time I call to get the littlest hope they keep telling me to talk to someone else but won't give me that persons number. The tracking says still tracing and my claim says still missing. There's a 7pm flight today that my bag would get to me by tomorrow afternoon but they don't know where they even put my bag. I will never fly them again. Worst customer service and airport service. It's like they don't care. They keep lying to me and say they'll call me back soon, it's been 7 hrs and when I tried calling back several times no one answered. I really want my stuff back. Why did I have to pay $100 to check my bag when they didn't even put it on the plane. read more

If I could give lower than 1 star I would. Terrible customer service on the way here, didn't buy a pre-ordered meal and didn't get paid any attention. If you want a glass of water or coffee, good luck making eye contact. Even if you do, you are told to wait until after the pre-ordered service, but they never come back. Now, we are delayed 8 hours coming home. As soon as that was posted on the board, the gate attendants took off. That left everyone sitting there for about 45 min with questions and no answers. In the end, we got a $10 meal ticket and excuses, no apologies. I can't wait until I get in my seat to be half as ignored as on the flight out...we bought a meal this time. Pay more and skip the 2nd class citizen treatment. read more

Nothing wrong with inexpensive or being frugal but Norwegian has taken it to the extreme! Get a load of this: We decided to bring our food on board, primarily for dietary reasons, so the staff refused to serve us even water, never mind coffee or tea! A neighbor across the isle didn't bring any food on board but was willing to purchase it from Norwegian ($45 per passenger), but Norwegian's staff told him he could not purchase it in-flight because meals have to be pre-purchased before the flight. Also it was very cold in the cabin but as it turns Norwegian only offers blankets for purchase (hey, anyone in the market for a Norwegian Air blanket?!) Go figure read more

We missed the fligh t due to an emergency and they refused to give us refund or credit. My agency rep even tried to call them and explained there was an emergency but they won't budge. I did speak to 2 of their reps in Norway they just said, there's nothing we can do. Then I asked about their manager then he told me, he's the only person there. In short, screw me and our $3500 tickets. Lesson learned and would never forget how you treat us. So never again I would use this airline. I speak to a lot of customers and coworkers on a daily basis and I would tell every single person about the non-existent customer service this airline provides. I travel too so, i'd share the same story to everyone I talked to. read more

Don't check a bag! I traveled from LAX to Copenhagen via Stockholm. When I arrived in CPH, my bag was no where to be found. I should also mention that I have NEVER had a bag misplaced, in all my years of traveling, until now. Either way, we filled out the necessary forms and waited for information. We received an email stating that my baggage would arrive by the next day at 10:30 am. GREAT. I waited to see if anyone would contact me around 10:30, but no one called. I contacted them, only to find that my baggage did not arrive as previously mentioned, and they didn't know where it was, or when it will arrive. For reference, Stockholm is 1.5 hour flight from CPH, and it is my understanding that their are quite a few flights between these two cities on a regular basis. So why haven't I received my bag? We are leaving for Barcelona tomorrow- which i have been stating since day 1. I feel their Is no sense of urgency from Norwegian, no reassurances, and a lot of false promises. Now my luggage is being, supposedly, rerouted to Barcelona. Sorry Norwegian, it's hard for me to believe that to be true. I understand Norwegian is a discount air liner, but I actually paid $1200 for my flight due to other circumstances and paid to check my bag. Now, all of my favorite clothes/things and gifts are all lost and I feel like no one cares. I just read a blog post stating that someone had to go find their luggage, themselves,in Stockholm in order to get it back from a Norwegian airline. Thanks for ruining my trip- I'm honesty heart broken and incredibly disappointed in your customer service. read more

Worst airline I've ever had the displeasure of flying with. Having flown with previous airlines before, I knew what to expect but Norwegian air has the worst staff - even to the point where I couldn't believe. The staff do all they can to avoid doing their job. Having pressed the call button they never got back to me. And when I wanted water I went to the back to ask for some because during the 10 hr flight the staff never came down the rows, but when I went back the staff were too busy chatting that they completely ignored me. Then when one passed by my seat I asked for some water, she rudely replied "you know it's in the back, go get it there." I've never witnessed more worse customer service in my life. OUR FLIGHT WAS ALSO DELAYED TWICE NOT BECAUSE OF WEATHER BUT BECAUSE THE STAFF WAS LATE. NEVER FLYING NORWEGIAN AGAIN. T.T read more

Terrible airline. Made reservation 2 months ago from fort lauderdale to Rome in March 2019, and received an email last week the flight was cancelled because of the rolls Royce engines. The flight is 6 months from now! They offered me a connecting flight taking 24 hours to arrive in rome. No thank you. I'll make a reservation with a reputable airline instead. read more

The Dreamliner is an amazing plane, superior economy seats are wonderful, price is great! IF you get to fly in the Dreamliner. This scenario is playing out in all their hubs. You fly in one direction on the Dreamliner, the flight home, nope, no Dreamliner, even though you payed your premium price, 2 hour delay, charter plane from Portugal flies you home, no entertainment, no modern plane, no nothing. No apology. Why are they able to do this? Something is going on, over-sold cheap flights, no where to put people. I won't fly with them again. read more

DONT EVER FLY NORWEGIAN WORST MOST UNPROFESSIONAL AIRLINE EVER!!! we were supposed to leave Newark at 11pm, still here at 3am and there's no plane!!! AND no accommodations, all stores are closed, no food no drink, sleeping on the floor. No representative here to answer questions. read more

This airline does not deserve any stars. Worst airline company in the world. Aircraft are old, cramped and not maintained inside or out. Staff is untrained and unprofessional, with no capacity to handle flight disturbances. The gate staff does not communicate with passengers or airport flight boards. Their app and website are useless and not updated. They are prone to delays and cancellations and when, not if, it happens you will be left in the dark right up to the last possible minute. Being a cheap carrier, it is obvious in the aircraft that is falling apart and the bare minimum staff they hire without qualification and then work like dogs. I used for first time on Oakland, CA, USA to Madrid, Spain round trip with plane change at London/Gatwick. Both ends, departure and return had delays and cancellations due to pilot overtime or mechanical problems. Lost a full day and night in airport. Both should have been avoided with proper planning and maintenance. But could have been de-escalated with decent communication. Horrible airline. Will never use again. read more

Norwegian Air is a joke with its long-haul service to the US. They should stick to their old european routes which they were somewhat good in. At least once a week the long-haul flights to/from US are Severely delayed, and many are operated by "leased" older aircraft rather than the new 787 Dreamliner they advertised! Since they have limited longhaul aircraft, even minor delays cause a huge domino effect for days which is a nightmare if you have connecting flights or hotels booked. You don't even get free soda & peanuts if you're in economy, they expect you to pay! Sure, the base fares may be lower than the bigger competitors... but then add up the cost of taking luggage, meals, and delays.. it does not pay off! Try calling their support on weekends and the wait time is ridiculous, only to be connected to someone who says she is actually in the Baltics and does not even speak Norwegian, barely English actually... no doubt their "outsourced" labor in order to keep the fare so low. Momma always said, you get what you pay for! read more

Very disappointed by the complete and utter lack of customer service from this airline. Even though I was on a direct flight from Los Angeles to London last June, the airline lost the luggage with all of my boys' clothes. OK, so people make mistakes, and the Norwegian Lost Luggage Representative couldn't track my luggage tag so told me to go and buy new clothes for the boys and submit the receipts to the Norwegian Corporate Offices. Norwegian found my boys' luggage and delivered it to me 7 days later, after I had purchased the clothes. In June I sent the receipts to the Corporate Offices, as directed, with a letter explaining the situation and my flight details, and got a letter back asking me to submit my receipts(!) and supply my bank details. Luckily I had photocopied the original receipts and sent another letter in July with the copies of the receipts and a copy of the original letter. I didn't hear back from Norwegian, so in November I sent yet another letter asking them to act before the end of the year. It is now January 31st - over 6 months since they lost the luggage and 5 months since they bothered responding to me. All my letters were polite (maybe that was my mistake) and clearly written, but they have decided to ignore me rather than do the honorable - and promised thing - by reimbursing me for the expenses I incurred from their actions. Ultimately using Norwegian has cost me more than using another airline, and caused me much more aggravation. I will not use them again as I don't believe they have any integrity. read more

Do not fly with Norwegian Air Shuttle. My luggage was delayed for almost four days, could not get into contact with anyone about where my luggage was (all the phone numbers I received both internationally and US did not work, the website continually glitched, etc.), and once I finally got into contact with someone, each person I talked to had different information and did not know why others I had talked to knew something different. Very poor costumer service. I recommend paying more for a better airline! read more

Definitely was not worth the money saved. All four flights took significantly longer than scheduled due to what seemed like routine incompetance. I would rather save the 2 extra hours and spend a little extra money on a more reliable airline. read more

Horrible airline due to their terrible lack of customer service at MCO Orlando Florida. RUDE. When I asked for a pass to go through security with my boyfriend who I won't see for a year, crying, they just tell me no. Every other airline gives this pass. Two years ago, I went through with him to the gate. They are rude, and they were rude to everyone in front of us as well. Get better employees. read more

DO NOT BOOK WITH THIS AIRLINES - It is NOT worth it- they rob you of your valuable time and made the start of our vacation horrible making us miss some important events with our family and friends. I have been in tears and stressed trying to get to our vacation because they first rebooked our flight 3 Times; stranded us for 2 days because they were going to put us on a ridiculous zig zag route that would have my family with 2 children travel for a whole day with layovers versus traveling on my originally booked direct flight that would typically take 3 hours of travel because we missed our connecting flight due to a 10 hour delay. And this is the same flight they changed 2 times prior. We had to travel to a different city (and pay additional train fees) to make it to our final destination. In addition customer service via phone cannot resolve any of the issues and you cannot speak with a supervisor in person with the phone call ( as per there policy) I am writing this as I am waiting in a hotel for 2 days to try to get to our final destination. In addition, after checking my bank account, I see an unauthorized amount charged by Norwegian without my knowledge for the flight they changed. IT CANNOT GET ANY WORSE!!!!! I have to call back on a weekday to see if they can give me a refund. Mind you we are traveling with a specific budget and taking away from the budget impacts our overall trip. I cannot express how FRUSTRATED and ANGRY I am with my family's experience. HORRIBLE! HORRIBLE. DO NOT BOOK WITH NORWEGIAN AIRLINES. I am sick and angry that they made our first 2 days and counting terrible. You cannot replace the time, and the stress induced lack of sleep by giving vouchers for snacks. read more

Great plane, great entertainment system, and smooth flight, but two major drawbacks that made our trip very unpleasant. First, don't expect warm courteous staff. Akin to putting junk yard tires on a Rolls Royce. We were in the last row and had three stewards chatting loudly and laughing for hours (it was a 10 hour night flight). We asked them (twice) to keep the noise down as they woke our 2-year old son, but they didn't. When my fiancee re-asked politely - we were sneered at and 'flight attendant call button' ignored (seriously?). Like traveling with a 2-year old isn't hard enough. Our son should have slept 8 hours; he slept 3. Thanks Norwegian. Second, bring a cooler of snacks & drinks. Don't expect any service (you can buy a meal which comes with limited drinks). If you ask for a glass of water, sneer. No place to keep a cold bottle of milk. Blankets $5. They are competitive price-wise, but you get what you pay for. read more

ZERO stars if possible....The procedure to get to waiting area for this flight is awful. I cannot believe they got awards when their homer airport is dysfunctional. As you can see in my photos, you need to get your ticket cleared to get to boarding area, which basically all passengers--elderly folks, parents with kids, or passengers with duty-free shopping bags--must wait standing in line with luggage, until an employee comes to do their job - which isn't until the time listed on ticket as "boarding time." Then, once you get in, the area doesn't even have enough seating. And when they call plane boarding, it becomes a MAD dash to get thru to the gang way as there's no longer the need to scan tickets and line up orderly to board--the employees seem use to it as they step way clear of the boarding zone when they announce the boarding.... Norwegian needs to change the configuration, or get their agents to work earlier (I see other gates where the flight employees are already manning the station, so passengers are let into the waiting area cleanly. read more

Absolutely awful. Both flights did not start boarding until after their expected departure time. Airline cancelled the flight an the day of, then sent us to JFK instead of EWR. Having to hope I can Uber to a connecting flight in a different airport that I had a nine hour layover for. Refused any compensation except a meal voucher. Unless you're someone with a passion for waiting in airports, don't fly Norwegian! read more

I give this one star only due to the self check luggage attendant moving my young son and I through quickly with 1/2 hour to our flight, due to a delay getting off the connecting flight. Otherwise, I find this a discouraging airline. Showed up with an hour to spare at Kennedy in NY due to an sudden snowstorm that blew in a bit early. No one at the ticket counter. I don't understand this at all. Was forced to buy a ticket for a flight the next day from another airline because no response from the phone for 20 minutes. Now I only had to be concerned with a trip back on Norwegian on what was turning into the most expensive vacation of my not so short life. My wife warned me due to flying out earlier, that there were no meals included (huh?). I thought, ok, no problem, I'll purchase in the airport. No time, due to landing delay. I get on board, and keep hearing about these pre-ordered meals over the announcement. Way to rub it in! They also went on for almost 5 minutes discussing all the meals premiere class would get. I'd heard this on other flights and airlines, but when they shut you out of food as a standard item, this becomes a bitter listening experience. It's almost being rubbed in. No problem, I thought, we'll look for some "snacks." As my son and I are looking at the menu, they announce someone with a peanut allergy on board. I get it, that's really dangerous, can't even have that stuff floating around in the air. The snack selection is really small to begin with, but every piece of candy is now eliminated due to the peanut allergy, even those without nuts. So bottled water, a grilled cheese with a hint that meat had been waived over it, and chips for my son, on an 8 hour flight. I don't even bother to ask for the tiny water cup, just keep buying bottled water. My wife had to purchase headphones, she relates later. Staff was oddly passive aggressive (all American like me, I might add, other than the British flight crew). My son in the middle seat, was sleeping, so when they came by on the opposite side to pick up trash or hand out declaration forms, they refused to take anything from my one free hand, his trash over his sleeping back, telling me to wait for someone on the opposite side. (BTW, these declaration forms are unnecessary in JFK due to automation screens now, so complete waste of time). When I asked about coffee early on, they told me it came with the pre-ordered meals, or I could wait till the "snacks" came around. The attendant,who insisted I knew about this meal fiasco (I didn't), kept bumping me every time she walked by the rest of the flight. I thought I was imagining it, but no one else bumped me, and I watched her center herself on the aisle the rest of the way ahead. I've worked in service, so I get responding to rude customers, but I was only relating my experience. Maybe she's burned out, and is dealing with this same issue. I'm sure I'm not the only one who had no prior experience with no meals on a transatlantic flight. I have flown a lot, and have flown on quite a few airlines which others consider rude without finding the same thing. The flavor of Norwegian seemed almost mean. I don't understand it. The young lady in Stockholm who helped us was so no-fuss and can-do should give some classes to the rest of the airline that I encountered (and those I should have encountered as well). I don't need rudeness with a smile. And a cup of coffee is the least they can do for not inexpensive price of my tickets. read more

It is a budget airline and you need to know what to expect. The airplanes are new and comfortable. Flight attendants are polite. You will pay out of the pocket for all your drinks and snacks. I paid 2.5 euros for a small bottle of water. Want to reserve your seat assignments in advance, it will cost $9 per seat for short flights and $42 for flights between US and Europe. For a family of five, it will be over $200 extra. If you need to check in your bags, you will have to pay even if you fly internationally. You can bring one carry-on bag, but it should be no bigger than 22x14x9 inches and not heavier than 20 pounds. The prices are less than those of full service carriers, but if you need extras, your cost will increase significantly. There are no individual TV sets. On one of my flights, they showed cartoons for 30 minutes and that it. On my second flight, there were no movies at all. read more

I found later that an incident at JFK had affected flights throughout the system, leading to my delays. However, I'm only bumping this up to three stars because Norwegian did not communicate this information until we were on the plane, after 5 hours of waiting around and not knowing what was going on. They also promised meal vouchers for the inconvenience and did not come through with those. Overall, it's an airline that offers good prices and poor service. Decide for yourself if that's ok for your situation. read more

Will not fly Norwegian again. Horrible customer service across the board! If you don't pre pay for a $50 meal, you get treated like a second class citizen. The flight attendants wouldn't even acknowledge me for a glass of water, and when I finally got their attention, they were very rude about not serving me water on a 10+ flight. Our return trip was even worst! Our flight was delayed by 8 hours and the gate agents left the gate right before the announcement, leaving all the passengers confused and stunned for over 40 minutes until they returned. Again, they were rude, and poorly communicated with the passengers. To make matters worst, by the time our flight is due to land, the public transportation will have stopped running and we'll be forced to pay $100+ for a cab ride home. I won't be flying Norwegian again! I'll pay extra for an airline that actually appreciates and acknowledges it's customers. I'm only giving 1 star because the actual plane is impressive, but that has nothing to do with Norwegian, they didn't build the actual aircraft. read more

Line to check in at Oakland Airport is two hours long. Not security. The line to hand the person your checked and tagged bag...is two hours long. It wraps around the building, and it looks like this isn't unusual. Oakland should push Norwegian to get their act together, because they are making Oakland look bad. read more

I had a great experience with Flybussen from the Radisson Blue Scandinavia Hotel in Oslo, Norway to…read morethe Oslo airport. This option was very convenient and was a much better cost than either a cab or ride-sharing service. In addition, it was much more convenient than trying to take the train to the airport. It picked us up right at the hotel and took us to the airport in less than an hour, including stops for other passengers. Because of a senior discount, the cost was only 159 NOK, which is about $16 a person. The discount was 50%, so the regular adult price would be $32 USD per person. According to an online search, the rideshare cost, such as Uber would b cost between NOK 720 and NOK 1400, which is $72USD to $144USD, so even with two people, there would be a significant savings using Flybussen. One tip: Be sure to be at the curb when they arrive because they will not check inside the hotel and if no one is waiting, they take off immediately.

SAS Flybussen is a fine way to get from the airport into town! My driver was a tall, good-natured,…read moreyet slightly arch man, which set a good tone for my first trip to Oslo. He let me off a block from my hotel, about 45 minutes later. The train would be another option which does go faster, but only to the main station - not necessarily more convenient if you have farther to go, as I did. Flybussen is also cheaper by about $6, which will buy you a couple ounces of beer in Oslo :-)

As an Emerald member with the oneworld alliance, I have always received complimentary seat selection on partner airlines. That changed with Royal Jordanian. I paid $140 for two seats that were clearly shown as a two seat row. When my wife and I boarded, we discovered the row actually had three seats. No one pays extra for a middle seat -- ever. My seat number was k6 and the seat has no cushion whatsoever, I had to stack pillows and blanket to prevent back pain Most incompetent company I've had to deal with. Called someone in Detroit to get information about the plane and flight, he gives me another number to call I believe it was in Chicago. I call that number, another person tells me we don't handle this, you have to call another number. Called that number, that person gave me the original Detroit number. I called Detroit back, another person answers and gives me the information I was asking to begin with. Not done yet. I finally check in and get on the plane, plane was gorgeous and flight attendants for most part were very hard working. Half the people on this flight were idiots, loud, arrogant, dirty and bathrooms even after a couple hours in flight were dirty, urine on the floor, clogged up sinks. Absolutely disgusting!!!! Like a fourth world country on a top of the line plane. I will never ever fly Royal Jordanian again!!!! Would rather pay twice as much and get to Amman in 3 days then fly this airline. They are refusing to answer my third-party booking site for refunds. I called the booking site "FlyFar" today at 11 am, and allegedly the agents have been requesting refunds from this piss poor airlines since last month. They have been refusing to pick up or to delegate refunds to anyone, but they cancelled my flight to Italy since March, and are only offering travel credits to fly by Dec. 31st 2020, when we do not even know when COVID-19 will end to make sure it is safe for us to fly. They are 100% being greedy and selfish because they are getting a bail out by the government, and yet they still refuse to process flights for all of us who have been extremely inconvenienced by this airline. I want my refund back Norwegian, and I refuse to ever use this mistake of an airline ever again. You all should be ashamed of yourself, you know you are making a profit, and many of us Americans and others across the globe have lost their jobs, family members and friends and colleagues, our stability, and all we ask is a refund of our hard earned money. But no, y'all over at Norwegian just wants to pocket our cash and run, like thieves. You all are criminal and I hope there will be a class action lawsuit/ the CEO steps down or goes to jail. They damaged my suitcase and the handle won't come up anymore. Filing a claim for damaged suitcase is a nightmare. Unless you're in Norway or Sweden where you can take it to a shop directly and they'll charge Norwegian Air, you have to get a quote, then submit a claim on their website, then wait forever for the email receipt that never received. If you try to contact their customer service via online chat, they can't provide you any information and would ask you to call the local number, which operate on Central Europe Time no matter which number that country is for (so you'll have to deal with the time difference and call them during their European business hours no matter where you are in the world). I tried calling that number, the phone rang for more than nine minutes then hung up on me. When I finally talked to someone, they said that they'll only cover the repair cost with no additional compensation, despite the fact they were the ones who damaged my luggage but I have to jump through all these hoops and waste my time just to get it fixed. Horrible. If you have a choice, don't fly Norwegian Air. read more

I will not fly Norwegian Air again. I've gotten used to not being offered water and to paying for everything, for example 6 dollars for a blanket. It's a senior flight attendant who for me was the final straw. On a Norwegian Paris to LAX flight, this senior attendant removed a passenger from a premium economy seat 10 minutes after another attendant had placed her there due to a broken USB port in the passenger's original assigned seat. When the displaced passenger asked the senior attendant for help moving her carry on to the new seat, she was refused. "Moving carry on was not part of my training," the senior attendant brusquely told the passenger. The two passengers sitting next to a middle seat where the displaced passenger was taken next said, probably untruthfully, that they'd paid for the seat between them to have more room, but the senior attendant nevertheless told this passenger to sit between these two unwelcoming fellow travelers. The premium seat in which the passenger had just previously been placed then removed, remained empty throughout the flight. I'm finished with Norwegian Air. read more

I checked out reviews but only after booking; they seemed mostly negative and I was concerned ##1 855-948 (3665) . But I have to say, my experience on four flights London to Rochester, NY, via Chicago and return, were all spot on. All went smoothly and when there was a maintenance issue with one connecting plane, the staff were great at explaining the process should the flight not go out (i.e. as it's maintenance we would get a hotel paid for and an offer of another flight). The staff were all lovely . . . couldn't ask for better service. And it was a bargain price flight compared to other airlines. Well done Norwegian Air! read more

My most recent flight with Norwegian Airlines was a wonderful surprise. You can make reservations by calling 1-866-372-2118. I hope that's useful! My tickets were purchased from a travel agency. We received a really generous discount from them, and they also gave us comprehensive trip details. I was grateful that the flight departed and arrived on schedule. Hot meals, trending movies, entertainment at your seat, and complimentary beverages Particularly the flight attendants, I was amazed. They were incredibly kind and considerate. THE ABSOLUTE WORST!!! Tried to reach them at least a couple dozen times and several hours wasted to change my flight. I had no option other than to buy a new ticket to go on my trip. Waited in line for around 20 minutes and once my family was called up the experience lasted 5-10 minutes for all five of us. A quick fingerprint scan, a few questions about our itinerary and we were wished a good trip and sent on our way. The one bummer was purchasing train tickets into town only to then learn the train shut down due to a fire on the tracks. The airport staff quickly pivoted to converting train tickets to taxi cab rides and my family split into two cabs and headed into central Oslo, main train station where we walked for 15 minutes to our hotel. All in all a good experience and we shared cabs with some local Norwegian college students who provided great conversation during the ride. Wonderful people and beautiful countryside.

Since we had no luggage, we tried the regional train instead of the express for half the cost. It's well worth it and takes only slightly longer. When exiting the train at the airport station, walk in the opposite direction from everyone else for the quickest way back to the hotel.
