This place is horrible. Great presentation they give on yelp to get you to go to them. Once you arrive you are greeted by someone while everyone talks in the salon about you. They speak in spanish not knowing if your spanish or not which is very rude to customers if you are speaking about them. They were speaking about me right in front of my face then the women cut my toe nail so short it now hurts, definitely will not be returning. Was not a welcoming nor was in a nice environment. It was very deceiving. My toe nails were cut on a slant & work was done very poorly paint all over my cuticles and women caused a scene as i was walking out the door asking me how i thought the service was. When I showed up there was a sign on the door that they would be closed from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. I called on Thursday turn left to see if they would honor the Wednesday special since THEY closed the shop on Wednesday. This review is late because I thought I had wrote it. I scoured reviews for a nail place in Nassau that does nice nail designs. I came across this place and decided to give them a chance. (After reading Yelp reviews of course) The shop is owner by a woman and her best friend works there with her which is a sweet background story. I think the owner is Carla- its been a while so forgive my memory. The place is small and they do not have many people working there so keep that in mind. The place is very chic and nicely decorated. They are very pleasant and helpful. The best friend/receptionist helped me to pick my colors for my nails because I was a bit indecisive. The reason I gave this place only four stars is because I came here for stellar nail art. What I wanted versus what was created were different... similar yet not spot on. I could have gone anywhere for my nails to be done for a basic mani/pedi, but I came here because I wanted my nails to be spectacularly designed. I doubt I will return to this place unless the nail designs are improved. If you want some nice TLC for your nails and a pleasant atmosphere this is definitely the place to go though. read more

Not a fan. Doesn't seem very sanitary. Equipment is old, and looks Uncleaned, they do NOT use liners in the tub for pedicures. I cannot even begin to describe how impressed I was with the service at Not Just Nails. Everyone from the nail techs to customers were extremely pleasant and welcoming. When I had arrived to my 5:30pm appointment I showed them the nail design I was interested in getting. Unfortunately they had told me that this specific design can only be done by two people Karla (the owner) or Lucy who was not in that evening. Karla was working on a client at the time and had another one to finishing working on up until closing at 7:00pm. When they told me to think of another design or reschedule the appointment I was super disappointed as I was graduating the next day and had a specific vision in mind with no time to reschedule. After considering other designs Karla stopped me and said she will accommodate me to make sure I got exactly what I wanted. Not only was I thrilled, but the overall service was phenomenal! Amy did a fantastic job on my pedicure and prepping my nails for Karla. Now Karla is just simply AMAZING! Not only did she do my nails but she made sure they were perfect. She took NO shortcut so I didn't feel rushed at all. Karla stayed 2 hours past closing just to finish my graduation nails. I sat there wondering why she would do this for me as this was first time I met her. She told me that was her graduation gift to me. Although this may seem odd, I left feeling as though I was apart of her family...it was overall a wonderful experience. Katherine did my gel manicure she was amazing, friendly and sweet, she even gave me advice for my next visit and how I can strengthen my nails since they were weak from all the acrylic and gel. The owner of the location did my pedicure.. she was absolutely wonderful! Very detailed and gentle.. had no cuts for once. Everyone in this location was nothing but amazing!! I found not just nails here on yelp and gave it a try. I made an appointment with Karla based on reviews but Gloria (I believe that was her name) actually did my nails. So I'm back to update my review . After my initial review I've returned for the third time for a filling . Despite a minor run in Carla took care of me well . As an owner she took the time to address a few issues I had with them . I appreciate the well mannered toned I was spoken to and how she handled the situation . She was never disrespectful like other salon owners get sometimes . Upon my third visit I had my nails cut down short ,filling and nice polish . Nails came out pretty and simple. In addition I found out today that they do microblading my appointment! I actually got to see the work done on another customer and her eye tries came out gorgeous . Now I know that nail shape and nails all together vary from person to person but they can never get it right which leads me to believe it's not really there work there promoting on there page. First off, not just nails has a new owner...her name is Karla. Im VERY picky with my nails. Karla has been doing my nails for about 6 years. She does the BEST manicure and pedicure ....thats what i usually go every 2 weeks. The Manicure and Pedicure is on point!!! She gets all your cuticles, and if you have a ingrown nail she knows how to pull it out correctly. Also, i recommened a friend to go since her big toe nail was broken and she took out the whole nail quickly and properly. My friends nail grew back healthy ,back to normal. When she does your mani and pedi, She dosen't just pick around your cuticles, she makes sure everything is out n clean. You get what you pay for and thats a GREAT set of nails.
