Ok it's been really really hot in this place since the manager left and her sister is there. I love Sarah's Spa. Love all the girls in there, they are very professional and kind. But somethings got to give with these hot days and no AC on. It's September but still hot days are here. Several women have complained about it too, they walk in and walk out, we don't want to be uncomfortable getting our manicures. No one wants to sit in that heat while getting out nails, pedicure, waxed, or massaged! It's pretty bad. The girls are bending over hot tubs doing feet and sweating! If the new manager is cold and needs a sweater she should move around a little or help instead of just sitting and watching, I guarantee she will warm up. read more

I used to go to Sarah's when my regular manicurist at another salon was on vacation. Although it was random with many months in between, any time I entered Sarah's I was always greeted warmly and everyone inquired as to how I was. Well, fast forward, my former manicurist left NY, so I sheepishly decided to return to Sarah's and make it my new place. That was four months ago and I've never looked back. I have been thrilled with the whole experience. EVERYONE is greeted warmly and by name, treated with kindness and total professionalism. Equally as important, the other patrons are very nice, warm and easy to chat with. As the other reviewers noted, the salon is very clean, nicely decorated, offering a relaxed environment and a great experience. I am a nail design addict and thankfully, my needs are met beautifully. Everywhere else charges 8 dollars to take off sns powder they took 20 dollars and took 50 minutes and made me bleed and hurt my other fingers. Terrible place.. I want my money back. I wish I could give 0 stars. Came here with my daughter after our usual nail place was full and it was just awful. Workers were very rushed and cut THREE of my fingers. They looked at it and only apologized when it started bleeding!!! I asked for coffin and had to SHOW THEM A COFFIN NAIL!! I didn't get the shape I asked for!! They took forever with my nails when they took a few minutes for the people ahead of us!! The workers yelled at a girl TWICE. I'm having to fix my nails myself because they came out uneven. They also gave everyone else hand massages after they were done but they didn't give me one and just put lotion on my arm. All of this for $65!! My nail place charges $45-$50! Outrageous!! Having lived in Floral Park all my life, I've definitely tried pretty much all of the nail places in town (we have a lot!), and Sarah Nail's is the best place to go! I am currently pregnant and two of the employees rubbed my stomach. They do not know me so why touch my stomach? I did not like that. That threw me off!! I have gotten a LOT of manis and pedis, but this place is the BEST! First of all, it is clean. That is the most important part. The entire place is so relaxing and beautiful. Secondly, the estheticians do a wonderful job and are so nice and professional. Thirdly, it is very reasonably priced. I got the works there and did a Spa Pedicure (totally worth it) and a Manicure and both have lasted longer than any other one I have gotten at other salons. I echo the other review. Clean and Everyone is so nice. I recommend Susan for strong chair massage and Hanna for relaxing chair massage. I would say that Hanna does the best manicure pedicures in there. They recently changed owners but it seems to be mostly the same staff. read more

Had my second gel manicure and first pedicure here last night. I called ahead because it was already 630pm and they agreed to take me, asked if I was ok with having two techs work on me at the same time. My mani and pedi came out perfect!! I feel like sometimes when you're getting a mani while your getting your pedi, the mani isn't the best. My nails look amazing. I've never had someone do gel while my pedi was going on but no complaints. I'm a Queens girl who just moved to Floral Park. The prices are a bit more than I'm used to ($30 for gel plus $9 for French? A little pricy but worth every cent!) I don't mind to pay the extra money for great service. They were super polite and always asking if I was comfortable, if I liked the shape, etc. Def recommend!!! read more

Yes I rated this two stars, but I love this place still and they are so sweet and still have great customer service!:) I have had Mimi and Angie here. Both super great people!:) I cant say I love it enough to reccomend it, but anyways... I have had two experiences at this place, but both completely different but both for acrylics. My first time I was rushed a little because they were closing, but it was nice they still accepted my reservation last minute. Regardless, my nails came out perfect, they made sure I knew their two weeks guarenteed policy and gave me so many tips about my nails and made a recommendation about the best time to come in if my nails were to break or chip or become bad quickly before the two week guarantee! That was definitely a plus. They also gave me a heat pack with a nice warm towel, especially it was snowing that day:). On the other hand, my second experience was just ok and not bad. Also I forgot that I was trying to get a matte color but for some reason they kept refusing. For my second experience, they still aced their customer service. The same ladies at first took their time doing my nails, but after I was done drying my nails a few times, they didnt thoroughly check to make sure my nails were thoroughly dry. I had to check for myself, which is fine, but my nails still unfortunately got a tiny bit messed up and only tiny few nails looked messy or had tiny kink as in it did not look like I got it at a salon as slightly shown in the pictures. My thump chipped off right away too. The lady also was a bit rough with my nails at first, but stopped and helped out my nails when she saw that I was bleeding a bit. Despite all the negative, my nails still came out so perfect and beautiful otherwise, but again despite the bad kinks on my nails. Otherwise, their customer service was great! They knew I was saving up and accomodated to my cost needs, were so sweet, made sure I actually like my nails and if I had a request to change a little something to my acrylics as they were being done, the lady Mimi at least made sure and let me know to definitely know it is ok to say it. :). They also gave sweet gifts for the holiday/because I return as customer. I love them so much, and Im not sure if I would still recommend this place though, but I might still come back. Who knows? In short and again I do love this place but not enough to come back or recommend it to anyone especially after the bad experience the second time. Lastly, be AWARE they might be a bit money hungry or try and charge you for random things because they were trying to charge me for so many things when I said someone told me a different price. For example, the lady said she is going to charge for the shape of the acrylix just because it was hard to do but anyways that really isn't supposed to be a charge. I am definitely thinking of going back to my other salon just for this very reason and because my other salon is cheaper. But this is just my opinion:). Went in on Thursday at 7:00PM for powder gel ($40). I had to go back the following day (Friday) to fix 2 nails where the polish had already cracked. They fixed the 2 nails with no problem. So now today is Monday and I have 2 more nails in which the nail polish cracked. Just imagine if I had gone on vacation with these ratchet nails?!! I'm just done. I'm not going back. I was also unhappy with their social distancing "effort". Pedicure chairs have no partitions and some of the manicure tables do not have partitions. Sarah's has become my new nail spot since I moved back to the area in late 2015. They updated the entire interior since that time - everything is new and CLEAN. All the ladies are absolutely lovely (Judy, Hannah, Angie, ...) as are the owners (Via and her husband). They have a great color selection and the prices are very reasonable. They have a TV, good music playing, and many magazines if you are inclined to read while you get your nails done. It is the best nail place in the Floral Park (Covert AND Tulip) area. read more

My mom and I went here to get our nails done last year (2015). I got a gel manicure, pedicure, and my mom got a mani-pedi as well. The total came out to be about $100 including tip. Everything was fine until they brought up the fact that they forgot to charge $3 for a gel removal while I was getting my manicure done. I said I'll give it to them once the nails are dry. But nope! One of the ladies (I think the owner) decided to dig into my purse to take the money- all the while I kept telling her not to! This kind of behavior is appalling! I recommended Sarahs to a relative for the mani-pedi deal. He has not been well and enjoys being pampered once in awhile. They immediately took advantage of him and started a green tea pedicure(45 dollars) before he had a chance to answer whether he wanted one. (which was no) I only get my nails done for special occasions but always go there and have recommended them to many people. I went in to talk to the owner the next day and he refused to refund the difference in price, Please don't go there. I got my nails done here and never plan on doing it again. I came in with high hopes as a friend of mine mentioned it to me and said they enjoyed their experience. I left with pain in nail beds and a terrible manicure. I brought in a picture of a simple nail design that was very do-able (nothing complex, just a simple flower). I showed the image and was told it could be done with confidence. What I got in return was terrible work, with a design that was not close to resembling the photo and a nail shape that I didn't ask for. I stopped the lady doing my nails from continuing painting the design after the first 2/5 fingers because it was turning out awful. When paying, the nail technician was hovering over me watching me write out the total and tip, which made me very uncomfortable. Upon leaving, I was rushed out the door and was getting herded to the door by the workers. The total was 80$ for a terrible set and that's the first and last money they'll ever be taking from my wallet. read more

Just got a ($30)gel manicure and a ($16)regular pedicure. I wouldn't mind spending this money but there was no real foot massage or hand massage. I think that is a large part of the experience when you go to nail salons. Also, I've had plenty of gel manicures ... And I understand sometimes the gel sticks to your fingers or gets under a nail... But 8/10 of my nails had the gel stuck to my figures. Over all never going again. read more

My mother in law uses this salon. I had attempted many years ago to go before when we lived on LI but they were busy with a wait. We were up a few days before Christmas just a couple of weeks ago and I stopped in to get a full set of nails put on. They were able to fit me in immediately. Shana was my technician, and she made some recommendations as well (silk wrap instead of acrylic, and they have been awesome). She was so professional, the entire staff was very friendly. They know their customers by name. I mentioned my mother in law's name and they immediately knew her. All my mother in law's neighbors go there as well. I agree with the other reviews about the cleanliness, competitve pricing, etc. but what really stood out to me, other than the beautiful job Shana did on my nails, was how I was treated. I absolutely love it here. It's right by me and whenever I need to get my nails done, I always head here. The prices are typical of LI (8 for mani/16 for pedi) although I think more recently, they changed since last time I was there (a year and 1/2 ago when I moved out of state). NEVER EVER AGAIN! Called and made an appointment for a gel manicure based on most of the "good" reviews. Upon arrival, the service started out good, then I noticed the stylist was going really fast. She did a gel manicure on me in less than 30 minutes. As I decided last minute to get a pedicure on the spot, the pedicure was done by someone else, where I LOOKED AT MY NAILS AND THERE WAS BUBBLES AND PAINT MISSING ON THE SIDE OF A FEW NAILS!! Low and behold, she was rushing to take one of her regular clients, who clearly was a walk-in and DID NOT MAKE AN APPOINTMENT. As I showed the nails to the stylist performing the pedicure, she said the original girl will fix it. As I sat back down to fix the gel mani, she filed two of my nails so hard until I started to bleed and was rushing again, even after I had told her that she was filing too hard. This place is a torture chamber for nails. The stylist was rough and hasty and did not even apologize. Additionally, there was gel paint on almost all my fingertips As my fiancée showed the owner what happened, they put tend-skin on the cuts after I had to point out the cuts and said the extra nail polish should wash off later. The owner said it looks good and to come back in a week if anything even after I told them this!! Do you really think I'm coming back after I made an appointment and was this was no where close to a pleasant experience and was rushed? I honestly should have not paid for this crappy service and unfriendly, money hungry salon. I would give this place zero stars and am going to look into reporting them to the BBB. read more

I asked the Floral Park Face Book page, what salon they recommended and this salon came up the most, so I gave it a try. I was impressed by the professionalism of the girl doing my nails (french manicure) and the girl doing my friend's nails (regular manicure). The place could use some updating but other than that, I would recommend them. They have been in business for over 20 years in the same spot. i went into Sarah's nails today like i have been doing every week for the passed 5 years. i was greeted and told it wouldn't be long. over an hour later, i was still waiting while other customers were taken ahead of me. i calmly asked why other people were taken ahead of me and i was ignored. i finally had enough so i asked again a little more upset. i was told they had "appointments". no one explained to me what was going on until i asked a second time and by then i was frustrated and feeling ignored. as a weekly customer i expected to be treated a lot better. i am very unsatisfied and will not be returning. read more

I went here to get a full tip set with design and french manicure for myself and my daughter. They said it was $55 for the tip set, and $ 5 for french manicure, also a design and 2 nails, she said another $ 5 OK. They did a horrible job . I had to have another lady repaint the french manicure and no one knows how to do a design. Then the manager comes and stated that they don't know how to do acrylic nails its very old fashioned. I can get a gel extension for $ 80. I said if you don't know how to do the acrylic why do you advertise it, and if you don't know how to do designs why don't you just say that you don't ? Makes no sense , anyway the bill for both of us was $ 150 + tip, $ 75 for me and $ 75 for my daughter . I would NEVER go back nor would I recommend. I wasted my money and we were so disappointing with the whole experience, as well as how horrible our nails came out.
