I visited Nassau Nails in Garden City on a Sunday around 12:05 PM, and while it was a bit crowded at first, they were still able to accommodate me as a walk-in. I went in for a pedicure and overall really enjoyed the experience. The service felt a little quick, but I was there for about an hour, which still gave me time to relax and enjoy a mini spa day with my girlfriends. I chose a simple red color, and it came out great. From what I observed, they seem especially known for their acrylics and UV gel sets, and the work being done looked well-executed and busy. It was nice to see they could keep up with the demand while still taking care of other clients. I'll definitely be back to try a UV gel or acrylic set next time--overall, I had a wonderful time. However, she did share a previous experience when she came in for a wax that felt uncomfortable. Instead of being politely asked to adjust her position, the worker physically pulled her, which came across as unprofessional and a bit rough. Because of that experience, there's definitely room for improvement in customer service and communication. Previously I visited the sister location (C Nails studio in Garden City) and came here on recommendation of the owner and because of their famous " ombré powder gel". I decided to make an appointment before the monsoon of customers for Mother's Day weekend. I am loyal to my nail spa in Jamaica Queens and recently began working close to home in Nassau county. This location is not really preferable for me because of the busy street it's located on. All that traffic is a nightmare. I booked an appointment with Bei ( Bei is BAE!) and she spoke with me about my options for ombré. I learned how expensive it was and decided on the French Powder Gel manicure instead. I really love the way they shape nails here. Very precise and attention to detail without overusing a power drill nail file. I also like that they offer so many different styles and designs ! Service was pretty good here. I wished that I knew they closed early on week days at 6:30 p.m. I got off at 5:00 and made it for my 5:15 appointment. I felt like the ladies were hustling to go home and that kind of took away from the relaxing experience of a " nail spa". Granted, Bei did a beautiful job. This was the first time in a while I also received a old fashion back massage after service. Connie and her employees treats all of their customers with unconditional respect, appreciation, like family. They actually listen to your concerns/needs and tries their best to fulfill them. This salon is really like nothing I've ever been to before. I absolutely love my amazing manicurist, not sharing her name with you guys. She does such a precise and meticulous job on my nails, taking her time making sure their all even and pointy just the way I like it. This is the only salon that I know that offers the UV free- dip powder nails option, which is what I get and I am never going back to gel nails again. Every time I show the nail techs a design I want, they always exceed my expectations and give me a beautiful design. Connie, the owner, is so great and funny and QUICK! I used to live in the area so when going out with my cousin we went here for a mani pedi. I asked for a gel manicure which is being advertised as $28 dollars... somehow came out to $32 before tip. Not that i had a problem paying but advertise the correct price at least!! And this is what I left with. It's uneven, lumpy, globbed on. My pedicurist would not do my toes the way I asked her to. She kept trying to talk me into doing oval, shape toenails. But I only like my toenail square and she's trying to tell me that square toenails hurt, I went along with it because I'm not in the mood to be aggravated while I'm trying to get my nails done. essentially I paid $80 and I didn't get what I wanted. Went here for the first time the other day, however, I only got a pedicure. Looks clean, nice comfy chairs. The only downside is the parking. Street parking. I found a spot but it was early in the morning around 8 am. I had a young guy do my pedicure. He did a decent job. No complaints. Love this place! My nails always look fantastic when I leave. The staff is so friendly and they take their time with everyone. Their always willing to do extra colors or whatever to make you happy. They were also super sweet to my niece yesterday. She can't stop showing off her snowflake nails. And right now they are super covid conscious: temp checks, masks on, with face shields during pedicures, dividers between pedicure chairs and between the manicurist and customer. This review is for Nassau Nails at 10 Nassau Blvd in Garden City, NY. I feel it would be irresponsible of me not to warn others of my experience at this establishment. I went with my niece recently to do our nails. We were rushed. From the moment we walked in to the moment we left we were rushed. My niece was pressured into picking a color as quickly as possible. There was only one other person in the salon at that time so I couldn't understand why the rush. She had a special vacation and she was leaving the very next day, and couldn't even contemplate exactly what colors or designs would go best with her outfits. Such a shame because all we needed would have been maybe 5 minutes or less. My niece had a prior gel mani and pedi, and instead of soaking them properly, they brutally scraped it all off with a cuticle pusher, leaving her nails thin as paper. Then they only did 2 coats of gel for her, so her nails currently have zero protection. The whole reason people get gel or powder isn't just for the stay power-- these kinds of manis also harden the nail quite a bit. So paying for gel just for the nail to be easily bent and chipped or broken misses the point. Any personal concerns I politely mentioned about overbuffing my nails was quickly met with a defensive attitude about why I was wrong, so I just stopped trying. My pedicure came out bumpy with missing spots and smudges. She cut into the sides of the big toenail without asking me first. I abhor this method as it can create ingrown nail issues where there wasn't a problem to begin with. I asked her to please not do this, so she then proceeded to not take care of any cuticles and went straight to painting. See accompanying photos with and without flash for pic of my "pedi". On my way out the person cashing us out asked me if the tip we asked her to add onto the tab was going to be for each of us. She then tried to double it. She questioned the amount of our tip THREE times before finally putting it through-- but not without visible sighs and huffing. I mean, really? Just unbelievable. I do have to say that the young gentleman that did my fingernails was pleasant and professional. We are polite people so we just stayed quiet and kept it moving without incident. But it was overall an extremely disappointing and aggravating experience. Ultimately will not be returning, and could never in good conscience recommend to anyone. read more

I came here two weeks ago for the first time to get my nails done. Everyone at the salon was friendly and conversational. I had acrylic extensions on from another salon, and they were nice enough to remove them even though they don't do acrylics themselves because they believe it is damaging to the nails. I ended up getting gel powder with extensions. The salon has a huge color selection for gel powder! Connie did my nails, and she was very skillful. She gave me exactly what I wanted! My nails came out great, and after two weeks they are not damaged or chipped. AVOID THIS SALON!!!! I had an absolutely horrible experience on Sunday at Nassau Nails. My nail tech cut and filed my nails completely slanted and left them sharp. Only after asserting that this was the case did another tech come over to refuel my nails. I asked for a gel manicure and the polish was painted on completely unevenly and streaky. Another tech had to remove the polish with a drill and do over the entire gel manicure. It was nutty! Still, it wasn't perfect. Even with the redo and the imperfection - they still charged me full price for the super subpar service. The worst part is that 5 days into the gel mani, the polish on my thumb chipped. That's sooner than regular polish chips! And today, a week since the mani, the polish on my right thumb chipped. Hands down, worst gel experience I've ever had. read more

She's the owner of the store and all I can say is she really cares about the people who she sees . I made an appointment with her again today after about a month to get my eyebrows waxed and she remembered me ! She does amazing work and even explained to me how one little hair out of place on my eyebrows can affect the shape of my whole face . The ladies here work together nicely and were very friendly and accommodating when I said I needed to leave by a certain time. They worked on my nails while I was in the pedicure chair which was awesome and got me out just on time! The SNS powder manicure is very nice and lasts 2-3 weeks. I opt for the regular pedicure over the spa pedicure plus I'd rather use the money I save by doing so on a 10 min back massage anyway! Today my sister, niece, and I went in for a mani/Pedi. These people are total scammers. They try and charge extra for everything and do a horrible job. What they charged $28/ regular pedicures for is a joke. They didn't cut back any cuticle skin, painting was fast and sloppy, and there was no indication that their equipment was sanitized or new. My niece and I got regular manicures which took all of 10min and not even clear coat applied. They scammed more money out of me for my 11 yr old nieces manicure, saying she got some quick drying bullshit. $48 for the fastest, worst mani/Pedi an 11yr old could get.. My sister got her horrible pedicure and powder dipped nails. They didn't even remove all the old color, which was visible on sides of her nails. Virtually no cuticles were trimmed on any of us which is one of the main reasons to get a mani/Pedi. So, for this horrible service they charged $42 for regular mani/pedi, $48 for mani/pedi with bullshit quick dry, and $88 for regular pedi and half ass powder dipped mani. Poor experience. My entire manicure and pedicure felt rushed and honestly it looked horrible. I had one gentleman working on my pedi while simultaneously another gentleman worked on my mani using a pillow. The staff was friendly enough which is why I have given 2 stars. In terms of cost, pricing was not transparent and definitely did not match with quality of service. A regular mani/pedi according to their website should be a total of $37- I paid for my sister as well so total for us 2 people should have been $74 but my total came up to $105!!! When I asked for a breakdown of the charges, the lady said she charged extra for Zoya nail polish (awful polish btw, takes an entire day to dry) which she did not mention when she recommended it + credit card fee (fine, this I understand). I came here based on the reviews and the end result was SUPER DISAPPOINTING. I asked for short coffin shaped nails with French ombré. I kept asking the technician to file and shape them better but eventually just gave up because she wasn't listening and seemed pretty determined on doing a bad job. These nails are thick and wide.
