I walked in at the end of the day on a Saturday and was pleasantly surprised to find no wait time--Leo was available and ready to help right away. The salon had a welcoming atmosphere, which made the experience even better. I had hard gel from a previous salon, and Leo was incredibly patient while removing it. Spacious and clean nail salon in Carle Place. I stopped by for a quick lemon spa pedicure on a Monday afternoon. Lina was quick and attentive. She was super thorough during the scrub and massage, and also asked if I wanted a third coat since the color was light. The massage chairs look new and I definitely enjoyed the shiatsu kneading. The quick shoulder massage by Lila while my feet were drying was also a nice touch. All the staff members were nice and polite. Everything looked super clean and well maintained, even the fish tank. I stopped in here on a Saturday around 4pm with my 6 year old daughter. She had a mani/pedi with designs on both (2 fingers and 2 toes) and I had dip powder with designs on both my ring fingers. The whole staff was so welcoming and warm upon us walking in. They did a fabulous job on our nails. We are so happy. The place is super clean and we got our nails done at a decent price. Trying out new salons and I've been told that there is usually no wait here. I tend to get my nail done at the spur of the moment when I find I have some time to actually go so that's very important for me. I got powder gel done by Sunny and it came out great! I love my nails. Some places tend to make them a little thick and she didn't which is perfect. They're a little longer than I wanted (my fault for thinking just filing would have been enough) and a little sharper than I would have wanted but I love them none the less. I also love the color selection for powder gel which I often find is limited at other salons. I will definitely be back. read more

My favorite nail salon! I have gone to so many salons over the years and this is the best one I've ever been to. I always get my nails done by Judy and my mother gets hers done by Helen. Both of these women are incredible and kind. Sometimes I go in with crazy ideas for my nails and Judy is always willing to do them for me. I even get my eyebrows done by Judy and since I started doing so, I get so many compliments on them. I was always afraid to get my waxing done at a nail salon, but I'm so happy that I did! So happy I found Sunny! I'm always bouncing around nail salons because it's hard for me to stick to a place that I like. I've been coming for a few months now regularly and I've never been happier with a salon. My gel manicures have been lasting SO long. Like way over the 2 weeks that they're supposed to. All of the staff here is welcoming and nice. It doesn't matter which nail tech you get because they all do an amazing job. Prices are fair here and you always get a free mini massage when you're getting your service done. Definitely would recommend trying out the pedicures here. They really take their time and they feel soooo good! Always have a pleasurable experience here and I'm constantly recommending this nail salon to all of my friends. Worst pedicure ever! I've had pedicures here in and out about 4 times and every time it is the same result. Pedicure last less than 5 days. The female owner rushes through the pedicure because she's always so busy trying to get customers in and doesn't pay attention to those she is working on. All she did was wash my feet and painted my nails. She didn't even clean my toes. Terrible! They take walk ins even though they have appointments scheduled. Very upset about the service I get here. Heads up, they don't know how to do simple designs such as flowers. read more

Recently moved to the neighborhood and this place was close and had decent reviews so decided to try it out... biggest mistake ever ! I got a gel pedicure and it came out okay ... 3 days in the polish was all chipped on 3 toes when I went back to fix it they made me wait 40 minutes!!! I decided to give them another shot thinking maybe I just got the new girl or they were having an off day so I called and made an appointment for 4:00, I arrived at 3:45 figuring I could soak off the gel while I waited till 4 I walked in and they said to sit in the pedicure chair at 4:20 I asked if I would be helped soon the owner Sunny told me 2 minutes (mind you still nobody soaked off my old gel) at 4:45 I walked out no pedi no apology and ANNOYED lesson learned NEVER AGAIN read more

Used to love this place. I have been going here for years for acrylics/pedis/eyebrow wax. Unfortunately it seems like in the last 6 months or so they have really gone down hill and it's sad to see. Like other reviewers I always think, "next time will be better", but unfortunately it has been consistently "meh". I love the staff and it's awesome to be able to get a 10min.+ massage while getting your mani, but the last couple of times I went my gel polish chipped and peeled off, the acrylics were thin and I would consistently break at least 1, and the wait times can be insane, regardless of making an appointment (they will take you and make you wait a minimum of 30min sometimes). I am also concerned that the little part in the tables with the UV light that you put your hands in are never cleaned. I hate to do it, but I have been trying out new places and they just do a much better job. R.I.P. read more

Let me start off by saying that I have tried numerous nails salons in the past and from how my experience was here, it looks like my search for a nail salon will continue. My sister had called and made an appointment for one acrylic set of nails and the other for a regular manicure. Once we get in, we look at the wall of numerous colors and my sister starts looking at the various gel acrylic colors. As she is looking at the colors, one of the nail technicians comes over and literally GRABS the color wheel out of her hands to bring to a walk in client who got in after us and was already seated. After our colors are picked, one of the nail technician was attempting to sit my sister on the opposite side of the nail salon than where I would have been sat. The reason my sister and I made the appointment together was so that we could in fact be sat together. My sister was looking to get the acrylic nails with a "coffin" shape and was told it would be $5 extra per nail. With the acrylics being $35 originally to charge an extra $5 for the shape of a nail that would have brought the cost to $85 just for a separate shape? I've gone to many nails salons in the past and have never heard of there being an extra. Both manicurists seemed like nice girls, everything looked like it was on the way up with our experience until I noticed that one of my nails not only had streaks in the polish but a noticeable bump. When I asked my nail technician to fix it, she looked at me, rolled her eyes and started speaking in another language with my sisters technician. She reluctantly fixed it...the only other thing she needed to do was put a top coat on three of my nails. Without saying a word she gets up and heads over to another client and starts doing their toes. Needless to say I was a bit confused. Regardless of whether or not it was busy she was so close to finishing my nails, why not just finish it? I had asked another person why my nails weren't going to be finished and was repeatedly told, "it's fine.... don't worry... etc." I'm sorry but personally I find that to be not only unacceptable but lacking in customer service. My nails were finally finished by another technician and my sisters shortly after. Needless to say, I will not being heading back to this establishment again. read more

Do not go here. Came in for a fill in UV gel manicure and not only did the manicurist make me bleed twice but they overcharged me. They charge $10 extra just for a color. If you want UV gel fill in and want to get any color you have to pay $10 extra. When I questioned this, they kept repeating that it was $60 and did not explain. I came in for a powder gel manicure, Lina did my nails so nice & gently; I'm usually scared to get pedicures in just any random place because I have small nails and typically I can tell people struggle to see them while they do them, but Lina was so attentive to detail (I saw her inspecting my nails to make sure the powder was evenly set all over each individual nail) that when my manicure was over I asked if it was too late for a pedicure. Just got a mani/pedi here today! It is conveniently located less than five minutes from where I'm living (temporarily) and when I walked in today (Saturday) at 230, they were busy, but there was no wait! They have plenty of people working so that all the next ladies that came in after me didn't have waits either. The mani/pedi is 25 dollars and it is a great deal!!! I don't get my nails done regularly- i usually do them myself, but they just never turn out as nice as the pros!!- anyways, i decided to treat myself today ;) the lady who did my nails was super sweet! My nails came out beautiful and I got a leg, arm and she even gave me a shoulder/back massage while my nails were drying! The salon is clean, they have eight pedicure/massage chair stations if I counted correctly and just as many, if not more, manicure stations. There were women in there that the staff knew by name, so it's always nice knowing they have regular customers. If I decide to treat myself again before I move away next month, I'll definitely come back here! read more

I'm not sure why i keep returning. they don't honor appointments - even though i request someone specific at a certain time and they tell me yes sure no problem, i get there and he is already working on someone so i use someone else. my last visit was less then pleasant. they started my manicure things were going fine. iw asnt happy with the color, totally my fault. the guy let me pick a new color. after i picked a new color he rushed through painting my nails. it looked awful. it was bubbly. my nails weren't straight or smooth. and the paint chipped the next day. i will never be back! read more

This is honestly one of my favorite nail salons to go to. It's very spacious and well decorated and the workers are warm and professional. I was pleased to see that equipment that they use is also very clean. While it seemed to be a really popular place (with a lot of walk ins) there is never a sense of being rushed which I really appreciate. overall I have no problem rating 5 stars as I have never had a bad experience here! I just received the most painful gel manicure. The manicurist cut me four times and did not apologize until the fourth cut, or offer any kind of a discount. She seemed very rushed, even though the salon was not busy. Even without the cuts I sustained, the quality of the manicure was very poor with bubbling and polish all over the top of one of my fingers (see picture). WORST MANI & PEDI!!!! The lady rushed thru the whole service. - Didn't let my feet soak. - Didn't cut/file my nails as I requested. - Didn't put enough cuticle oil to soften my cuticles. She cut me instead. - Didn't clean under the nail beds. - She didn't use a toe divider or paper towel to separate my toes. - She dipped her fingers into an open bowl where all the other employees touched to apply every client's lotion. (THIS IS SO GROSS ON SO MANY LEVELS!!!) - My nail polish was applied thick and clumpy. I should've stopped her after this awful experience but I was hopeful she would be better with my mani. I was wrong!! She failed miserably!!!!!! - Again, I requested my nails to be filed square shaped. She did all of them crooked. I asked for the nail filer to straighten them myself. She took offense and demanded the nail filer back. I let her finish off the last two nails and she still managed to fuck it up! I asked for the nail filer back and corrected them. - She instructed me to leave my fingers in a bowl with cold water to soak. - She asked if I wanted my cuticles cleaned. (No shit! Why would I bother paying you if you're not going to do it?!) - Again, not enough cuticle oil. - She didn't clean under the nail beds. - Another associate open the towel warmer and noticed there wasn't enough for the remaining clients. She threw in a wet towel from somewhere. (Who knows?!) - She applies lotion from that bowl again. - My polish was poorly applied. She wasn't happy with my 18% tip (even tho she didn't deserve it in the first place) and gave me a one min rub when I was at the dryer. I had also brought my newly purchased polish for this trip and the boss lady told me I got suckered into buying them. I don't know why she felt the need to share her rude comments. She also said my neon pink color was ugly in Chinese. Lol, just wow. I will never go back and no one should trust their mani and pedi service here. read more

My mom and I went here over the weekend for the first time. It was not packed at all but they were busy- it helps that theres alot of staff there. The pedicures were pretty good- we were offered a special spa pedicure (for more money) and even though we declined we still got a nice little foot massage with the regular pedicure.
