Gotta say that the ladies working here are terrific at explaining the most complicated, bureaucratic, red-tape stuff. They are dealing with everything from the legal system to the DMV but they are great at knowing what to do and what I need. I have renewed my Driver's License here, bought/sold cars, and my wife and I had wills made here. The place itself is always busy. I have seen folks lining up at the door before they open. Some of the notary stuff can take a while too, so don't expect a quick in/out trip. Be a little patient and everything works out. Parking is fine, their hours are convenient, the rates seem reasonable if you take into account all the things they have to keep up with. Give them a try. read more

I've used Notary At Your Service several times over the past 15 years and they've always been kind and efficient.

The process at this office is horrible. There were 2 employees that called your name after you signed in. They basically ask you why you are there and fill out a paper with minimal information. Then you sit and wait for the one person that is actually processing everyone. She is the only person typing in all the information and verifying all your documents to be processed. She is in no hurry what so ever. To pay an extra processing fee to them rather than going to an actual DMV office isn't worth it. It cost me over $40 to get a duplicate drivers license. Also, they are open until 5:30 but they stop processing drivers licenses at 3:00. read more

Went here with my son today to renew his drivers license. Their hours are 9-1 and we arrived and signed in at 11:10am., almost 2 hours before they closed. After sitting for about 10-15 minutes a very rude lady with glasses and blonde hair (wish I would have gotten her name) called my son up to the counter to let him know they have done enough drivers licenses for the day and they were not going to do anymore. No reason other than she just did not want to do anymore. While my son was explaining that his drivers license was going to expire in less than a week and he had to have it renewed for his job the lady sitting in the back yelled and told the lady talking to us, "let's just do it for him", the rude lady replied, "no, we can't because I just sent another man away and it wouldn't be fair", completely proving that there was absolutely no reason other than she didn't want to do it. Why offer a service if you're going to turn people away because YOU do not want to do your job! My son works Monday- Friday and their hours do not accommodate his work schedule, so Saturday was his best option. Now because of this ladies lack of compassion and wanting to do her job my son will have to take time off of work to get his drivers license renewed. I find this absolutely ridiculous and unacceptable! read more

With all the state DMV offices shut down right now, this place is a blessing. The crazy state of Louisiana had a flag set on my record preventing me from renewing the registration of my truck online. They said I traded the truck in two years ago. Ms. Penny was able to resolve the issue and renew my registration in less than 10 minutes. She is amazing. As you can probably guess, this office is really busy and she is able to work numerous clients simultaneously. If I ever own a business, I would want someone like Ms. Penny to run it. read more

For the past ten years I have been going to Notary at Your Service. My daughter played soccer on a club team and twice a year we'd have to have a medical release form notarized. Here is how those visits usually went: We'd be greeted by Jay Hilker who owns the business along with his wife, Wendy. Mr. Hilker (to my daughter) "Oh, so you're a soccer player, huh? What position do you play?" (Forward/defense) "What's your jersey number?" (7) "Are you any good?" (She was, and still is badass) After a few visits he stared to recognize us when we'd come in and had even nicknamed my daughter. He'd call her "Tough Little Defender" or "Miss Number 7". He was always really nice and engaging and had a love for the sport because his son was heavily involved in soccer as well. He never charged us to notarize one of those medical release forms even though I insisted on paying for it. Because if the wonderful customer service I experienced here if I need something notarized this is where I always come. read more

If there was negative stars lets just say I would them a -5!! We have been coming to this notary location for YEARS. Even though I live in Metairie, we never cared to pass up SEVERAL other notaries and DMV's just to come to This particular one. However, this time will be the LAST time we ever give "Notary at your Service" our money or time. I never write reviews on here or anywhere else, but I created a Yelp account just to share our story! We were greeted by a lovely older lady, she was very pleasant and helpful. However once she stepped to the back and we were passed along to this younger lady who was RUDE and seemed extremely irritable from the beginning! We were told in order for her to answer any questions "we would need to commit to paying first" ? We were so confused as to what she meant by "pay first" we didn't know how much to pay or what we were paying for, we were just completely confused. At the end of it all, after my father and I were extremely pissed, and she was even more irritated than before (imagine that). The first older lady came to see "if we had a problem" which by this point there absolutely was one! Come to find out what the rude lady should've said was "okay so in order for us to go any further we do have an $18 convenience fee". SIMPLE, POLITE, and SUFFICIENT: Three words she probably doesn't even have in her own vocabulary! I hate to be this mean over a review but hopefully you can tell how extremely pissed I am that my family drove here from Metairie, wanting only their service, to only be turned away dissatisfied and PISSED. And they just lost loyal customers!! So fellow yelpers if you want excellent customer service, despite how oddly this may sound, just go to the DMV. read more

I have used Notary at your service several times in the past and have not had a problem until today. I came in to transfer title of a camper trailer and was waited on by Marie. She told me how much it would cost to register and get a plate for the camper and I thought that was a little high so I asked questions to make sure she knew what I was registering. Every answer she gave me so short and rude like I was wasting her time. I decided to just get the title notarized and register it later. The fee for this was $35.00, which is also too high in my option because to notarize a document is about $10.00. Titles have to be notarized so I feel charging that much was a bit much. I then asked Marie if when I came Bach to get a plate for the camper if the $35.00 would apply towards the $179.00 charge and she said it did not that the documentation fee was included in the price if I did it all at once. Didn't seem fair to me but whatever. I then asked Marie if she were a notary and she told me she was. I wanted to know because I had questions on an unrelated matter. Then I had to wait for someone else to come and sign my title because Marie is not a notary like she said. When all was said and done I asked her if she had an envelope and she told me they were all out, so I asked her for just a regular plain white envelope and she told me I could go the the post office next door and buy one for .10cents. FYI the young lady at the USPS had to walk tot the notary side to get the envelope. You'd think after $35.00 for a signature I could at least get a free envelope. I am done bringing my business there. For future I will drive across town to Family Notary. read more
