Not sure why all the long faces in the review boards here.... Sure, you have to wait a bit to be seen by a doctor... even with an appointment. But -when you get the staff, they are caring, attentive, and listen. Our infant had an infection and, after a few tests, our doctor encouraged us to the hospital, where our kid ended up having some serous respiratory issues and needing care for a week to help the full recovery. That ability to not second-guess themself and make sure everything was okay will cause us to be forever grateful. And - their hours! This is the location Notchview offers that is open on weekends and holidays for emergencies. As a parent, you can't ask for anything more than that. Truly - the staff goes above and beyond for the care of your kids. We're a fan! read more

My kids have gone here all their lives and my oldest is 18 now. Never had a bad experience here EVER. The staff is kind and professional, and I wouldn't trust any other group of doctors with the care my kids get at Notchview. They are the best. read more

Rude and inconsiderate. Called to check up on my prescription and got verbally assaulted by the woman on the other end. Just went through something so traumatic and called my doctor for reassurance. We go to the Clifton office. Doctors and nurses are great. Some of the front desk staff is abrupt and doesn't always have the most patience when answering questions. They are also behind technologically. There's no way for them to receive information via email and their paperwork process to fill out basic medical school forms takes 3-5 days. The office is clean and I've never had to wait more than 20min. I just wish they would get updated in their systems and hire a friendlier front desk staff. read more

I would recommend going anywhere but here. The office is not the greatest and one of the doctors was condescending and extremely rude when I came for a prenatal visit. He highlighted how his patient population is upper middle class and middle class people born in America. Rude! I'm not going to be made to feel like I'm lesser because I wasn't born here. He also discouraged me from breast feeding and went on to mock women who cry because breastfeeding is so hard. Raising a child is hard but you don't need to be judged by your child's doctor. If I could I would give them 0 stars. My kids have been going to Notchiew for 16 years. I recently started to go somewhere else due to the front staff doesn't care about the children's health just that they want to get paid and they will embarrass you in front of anyone just to get paid. If I could give a 0 stars I would. I was a patient over 10 years ago so I wanted to pick up my medical records because I am moving out of state. I do not have a doctor yet so I couldn't just have them send it to my new doctor. I called last Tuesday and they told me $20 and it would be ready next week. I told her I would come to the office and pick them up. I called a week later to double check they were there and was told again $20. I get there and Pauline told me the girl called me and told me $34. I said I received no call and was told TWICE $20. She said that's if it goes doctor to doctor and if not it's $1 a page. I told her well I was told $20 and why should I pay for your mistake? I work at a doctors office as well and if it's our mistake we charge them what we originally told the patient. Called the next day to speak to a manager to let them know it's unacceptable. She kept cutting me off and telling me it's an office policy. I said I understand it's an office policy but you told me TWICE the wrong thing. They clearly need to train the employees better because they are giving wrong information. I thought I spoke with a Libby/Liddy when I requested it but the manager told me there is not one with that name. I told her she mumbled her name so I could not understand her. I don't care about the $34. I care about the fact that I was given wrong information and that they need to take accountability for their employees. An apology does not cut it. Apparently the manager was sitting listening and did not come up to help her employee who was dealing with an angry customer who yes was raising their voice. Some type of manager they are. I would recommend no one to come here unless you want to deal with incompetence and people who cannot even back up their employees. read more

Five stars for the Montclair practice, but zero ( if that was possible) for Clifton . I had to take my son to the Clifton office as he was very sick and dint want to rush to ER first. Guess what? The doctor's don't see your kid first. Nurse practitioner does. After a long wait why would I want my really sick son to be seen by a nurse practitioner?! So the next time (after many months) when my son got I'll, I requested that he seen by a Doctor. Unfortunately, the rule they have is that the nurse practitioner will come in first and I have to tell the nurse practitioner that I want to see the doctor. Ridiculous. So I had to wait for the nurse practitioner for half hour-45 minutes and then another half hour for the doctor . No doubt the doctor was nice but worth 2 hrs wait with a sick cranky child?! read more

I've used this facility for all 3 of my children. Within the past year alot has changed for the worse. Now they belong to "summit medical" and everything from service to billing has gone down hill. I'm currently looking for a nee peditatrican. The Montclair office is even worse! Doctor "hamburg" or something like that is extremely rude and unprofessional. I strongly encourage everyone to find a new pediatrician and stay away from notchview. read more

Notchview is simply the best! We see Dr. Lewis in Montclair and he is amazing. The whole office is great and Colleen answers my calls never makes me feel bad for asking questions. We are new parents so lots of questions come up and there always there to help. All the other doctors we met are amazing as well! It's fantastic they are open 365 days, kids always get sick on holidays and weekends right. You can't find a better office. They are super friendly, informative and professional. Don't listen to that other review, they have no idea what they are talking about. read more

If I could give Clifton and the Pinebrook locations 0 stars I would. I have never dealt with such incompetent individuals in my life who were so unwilling to help a patient when needed (a patient of 15 years might I add). The receptionists at the front desk of the Clifton office act as if you're interrupting them by calling and then will continue to speak over you on the phone disregarding whatever it is you may need. Long story short - their "policy" changed and they no longer take patients greater than 22 years old, I am 25 years old and unbeknownst to me (until my conversation with the receptionist) am no longer a patient at their practice. Is it too much to ask to notify patients of a policy change that will directly effect them? The receptionist then stated - "I hope we still have your chart" - of a patient that last came less than a year ago..? I would hope they still had my chart..? They then refused to sign off on immunization paperwork (for school) that THEY THEMSELVES (Notchview Pediatrics) gave me over the 15 years I was a patient there and stated a "new doctor" at a different practice would need to sign off on these immunizations. What sense does that make? I will forever not recommend them and encourage anyone reading this review to seek out medical care elsewhere, save yourself the headache for you and your children. We have been going to Notchview from past 6+ years for my son but never had single complaint. It has been wonderful experience until we went to Clifton location on 4/21. the doctor seems to have least understanding of diagnosi. she was very rude and left my child with no right diagnosis. Despite requesting - didn't provide the prescription. Next day we followed up for prescription - I waited until 3pm for doctor call just to confirm the prescription- guess what - when I called my pharmacy at 6pm .. doctors didn't even send the prescription. My son at 10 pm.. vomiting and sufferlung because of the doctor not doing their due diligence from past 2 days! Nurse who called was also very rude explaining we just have one doc on duty so you have to wait for her to call you back! My son is suffering from past 5 days. Dr. Medetarrino was the best doc my son and some other docs at Clifton office but Dr. Alexis one experience has turned my experience completely change for Notchview Pediatrician- won't recommend this place to anyone! read more

I have been taking my children to Notchview Pediatrics for 15 years. Every experience has been enlightening and informative. Their diagnosis and treatment is always spot on. They are on top of everything from vaccinations to flagging blood work to monitor and retest. I ask tons of questions every time we go and the patience of the Doctors never waivers. They always listen and offer great education and treatment as well as guidance. We live an hour away and I will NEVER switch. The experienced, knowledgeable and caring team there is immeasurable and certainly worth the drive. I love this place. They are like family to us. I highly recommend Dr. Caprio. Every doctor there is amazing. It's very rare to get the trifecta in an office - EXCELLENT Doctors, Nurses, and Office Team. An extraordinary practice that lends the best care you could ask for, for your children! read more

Hate this place I would not recommend you wait in the sick room then they put u in another room where they leave you there for like an hour on top of that I have been coming here for years I tell the receptionist I don't have the money but my husband coming right back when he get here he will pay you unreal miss if u do t pay you can't get seeing I mean really like was I going to take off without paying do u not have my address I just can't wait to leave this place the worse place ever Another thing is when u need them to fill in info for the school it take 4 days for them to fill in the paper work for sports I give them no stars they suck what make me mad is that I told her to wait for my husband so I pay them my husband get here and the doc didn't even get In The room yet so I just don't understand why they couldn't wait read more

Find another pediatrician! My daughter has been going here since birth. We have had several issues over the years including them prescribing too many antibiotics and my daughter ended up hospitalized with cdiff from too many antiobiotics. We also believe that the massive amounts of antiobiotics prescribed to my daughter over the years has also contributed to weight gain. She is now considered obese. During her last visit, the doctor we saw recommended that she drink water to help with hunger. However her school requires a dr's note to carry water bottles and the doctor REFUSED to give my daughter a note to carry a water bottle - after telling us she should drink more water! Pure laziness on their part to not give a note so my daughter can carry a water bottle at school!! Seriously how hard would that have been? Not asking for prescription drugs! Asking them to help keep my daughter healthy by allowing her to have water with her at all times during school. They clearly don't have the best interest of their patients at heart. The administrative staff can be extremely difficult to work with. Used to be the best - but it has really gone downhill. Avoid going here. read more

Stay away from this doctor's office!!! This is coming from a mother who's 3 children have been seen at this office their entire lives!! I have sat in that office for hours waiting to be seen (with an appointment) I have paid every visit fee and never owed these people a dime! I lost my health insurance and STILL came back paying out of pocket for services because I am a loyal customer. Then when I desperately NEEDED something from them after ALL these years they flat out denied to help. My daughter needed a physical form filled out. The physical was already done back in August. She needed a form filled out for her school nurse in order to be able to tryout. This is high school we are talking about. Not recreational. We received the forms on short notice and got them to the office as soon as possible. Although I understand they have a 3-5 business day policy on forms THIS was an emergency. I didn't expect them back the same day. I got them to their office on Thursday afternoon of last week after being turned away because we didn't fill out one page. It is Monday and I called and went in person only to be denied help. THIS was the difference between her playing or missing out on the ENTIRE basketball season. This is a 15 year high school student who loves this sport and for her to NOT be able to play because NO ONE in that office could copy information from one paper to another-she is crushed!!! Doctors are supposed to help their patients. There are ALWAYS exceptions to the rule. If a child walked into the office with their head split open but didn't have an appointment I can guarantee that child would be seen before anyone else that had an appointment. I even offered to pay well over what they charge for a visit because I understood what I was asking for!!! Everyone turned their backs-everyone. This is not a black and white world we live in and they will be losing my business and I will never refer anyone to this office again. You should never allow yourself to become so busy that you penalize a 15 year old child for life's mishaps. read more

We just left the Montclair office of Notchview Pediatrics after my son received vaccinations. He, as most children, was dreadfully frightened and it took 3 people to hold him down to get shots. He is 4 years old. Afterwards he climbed underneath the bed to hide away and was crying. The nurse said we can take our time before we leave. We must have stayed about 5-10 min after she left, me just trying to calm him down, to get dressed so we can go... then the doctor and nurse says, I think it's best that you leave and evacuate. So then the doctor goes back into the examination room with a new needle and opens it and says that to my scared, crying child, you need to leave now or you going to get another shoot. He pulls off the cover of the needle and says, you want another shot with this big needle, then you better get out from under the table and leave. How is chasing a child out of your office with a needle a good idea ... or good practice! Wtf! read more

Its unbelievable how rude the front desk staff are! I have been taking my kids to their office for the past year and every time I go my husband and I leave upset of the overall environment is and how people are being treated. The doctors are nicer but do terrible physical exams/ checkups especially for babies. I would not recommend this office at all, the experience is very bad, its definitely not a place where you feel welcome and taken care-of. The black receptionist doesn't even reply back when you say Good morning to her!!!!! I have never seen a medical office with employees that are this rude an unprofessional.
