After multiple delayed callbacks, the physician eventually spoke with me by phone. When I asked reasonable follow-up questions about medication side effects, the conversation escalated. The physician became verbally aggressive, stated there was nothing further the urgent care could do, and originally refused to provide her name. The call was then handed over to the manager, who immediately raised her voice, spoke over me, accused me of demanding medications, and continued escalating the interaction. When I stated that the call was being recorded, she incorrectly claimed this was illegal in New Jersey, used profanity, and abruptly ended the call. I was calling as a sick patient trying to discuss side effects and treatment options. The way this situation was handled was unprofessional and disappointing. The fact that this is how they treat sick patients who are just asking a few questions is very telling about the "care" they provide.

They went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable and addressed all of my concerns. specifically, Dr. Roman visited me twice while I was in the hospital to make sure that his orders were being followed and I was feeling better. Everything from start to finish went fine, and I was very happy with the level of service I received from this facility. In the week leading up to my surgery, I received several calls from both Englewood ENT and the Surgery Center to ensure everything was set for my procedure - from paperwork to schedule changes and beyond. I prefer more information than less, so I was happy to receive even a quick phone call or text to update me on even the slightest change. The hardest part about this center is the location - it's really tucked in to a bizarre neighborhood in Fort Lee. However, the location sent me a direct pin to the front door which really helped. (When looking it up on Google Maps, the ETA was slightly different. The listed location on Google Maps is not as accurate at the pin they provide, so use the location that the text message sends out.) I was also grateful for the message about the parking they sent beforehand - the place is undergoing construction and they gave us a head's up about how it may be different to find parking. Obviously, for a surgical procedure, one can expect to be there early to make sure everything runs smoothly. I arrived 90 minutes before my scheduled time (7:30am). The gentleman at the front desk was kind and informative. You basically submit everything before you go, so you only need to sign some paperwork before you go in. The waiting room is also very chill and comfortable, with a TV screen that gives you up-to-date patient information so your guest can know what's going on. Upon entering pre-opt, every person was lovely, kind, and informative. Shout out to Elmer who took my pre-opt notes while I was getting ready! I am a talker (especially when I'm nervous) and the nurses were very happy to engage in conversation with me. While I was finished and waiting to wake up from anesthesia, the Center and doctor called my dad to let them know how I was doing. Upon waking, AJ took care of me - she's awesome! I was out and ready by 11am. I really could not have asked for a better experience!

I discovered I needed to allow lots of time for traffic, especially in the morning. They called me pre-op to get all the necessary information and answered all my questions about my transportation. I was having local anesthesia, so I was able to drive myself home. When I arrived I was greeted and made comfortable in the waiting room. It is very clean! Pre op nurse Elmer did everything correct. Thank you to Josephine, RN who visited me in pre-op. It truly helps when you are a little nervous to have kind and considerate people speaking to you! They informed me of exactly what would happen. Or Nurses Cristina and Karen and Dr. Ekstein spoke with me pre op and during procedure so I knew exactly what was going on. Everything went according to plan. My recovery room nurse Lorraine gave me written and verbal instruction, offered nourishment and assistance, answered all my questions and saw me safely out of the building. I was very impressed with the center, the staff, the kindness and professionalism. I am a nurse and it's pretty hard to please us! A+ in every way.

DR. FOCAZIO SAVED MY LIFE!!!…read more No exaggeration here, I was hospitalized and diagnosed with low platelets late January 2025 at mountainside. Although I was complaining about my stomach they never bothered to do appropriate testing and gave me the boot with a dangerous, near infusion level platelet count (20k range) and slapped an idiopathic diagnosis on It. I rolled along for months filtering through one other gastro and decided to switch to Dr. Focazio. Within a week of thorough testing and analysis he found that I was carrying a rare and extremely deadly novel bacteria inside me that I likely got on a work trip back in November 2024. It was then treated promptly. After feeling a bit better with the bacteria being eliminated I have been experiencing after effects that I thought would never go away but I stuck close to Dr. Focazio and am finally starting to heal. Both myself and my entire family, who have been grateful, could not recommend a better doctor. Dr. Focazio specializes in Gastroenterology but is multi disciplinary which includes his expertise in infectious disease. He has helped me through such a miserable portion of my life where so many other doctors have failed. The staff has been friendly and helpful. I can call them whenever and they hear me out and get back to me. They let me know exactly what the doctor says to do if I have a weird test and are relaxed when there's nothing to be worried about. I would happily recommend him if you need iv antibiotics. My GP doctor and my gastrointestinal doctor both recommended him. I also want to warn dog lovers to be very careful if your dog loves to lick you. Dogs carry a bacteria in their saliva which can easily cause a nasty infection if they lick a scratch, bug bite or blister. That infection is resistant to standard pill antibiotics and hard to get rid of.

I had a cough for several days and I thought it was allergies until I started hearing crackling and…read morerattling sounds when I layed down. I went to AFC urgent care in lyndhurst.  What a waste of money! I wish I could get a refund for my $75 copay.  I clearly discussed my symptoms with the doctor.  I had a cough, fever, aches in my thighs, and I explained the crackling sounds when I lay down. I also told her that 10+ years ago I had bronchitis and another time I had a pneumonia.  Using the stethoscope she reassured me that my lungs were clear. (No xray) She said I had allergies and prescribed an allergy medication. After that visit I did not feel any better. In fact I felt worse. Two days later I went to my primary physician and he immediately heard the rattling sounds in my lungs and detected a pneumonia and sent me for Xrays. I got my results and my primary physician was right. He prescribed antibiotics, prednisone, and a cough medicine. Misdiagnosing a patient is unacceptable. I am not happy with AFC. I want a refund!

They're all very very serious and come off stern. They will give a lollipop or a sticker which my kids do like, but in the treatment room the bedside manner is so cold unfortunately. No loving and welcoming side for the kids. For example, this morning we saw Dr. Grace. She came in, stone cold, very serious and didn't have any loving side or compassion with my three year old. The waiting area is small but they just opened up an expansion across the hall. I never had to wait long and they always have some movie on for kids to watch while hey wait. They fit me in a couple of times late in the day which I really appreciated. My 7 year old has been going since she was 4 and my new born all her life and my wife and I are happy with the service.
