I had to reach out on Instagram to contact her and get an updated phone number. I then started reaching out to her via text for the follow up appointment, she kept telling me she was busy and try back next week. It is now December and I still don't have a follow up appointment. She continues to give me the runaround she could just say she's not going to complete it and let me go to somebody else, but she's been stringing me along for the last four or five months. I would not go to this woman for anything. I paid for her initial fee and tipped her very well and I feel completely disregarded by her. She is not a good business owner, she's not invested in her clients and she did a terrible job on my eyebrows, I have sent her pictures showing her that I needed follow up. I'm so glad she has packed up and left Fishtown. I would not schedule new client appointments with her. She is a negligent business owner and did not do a good job on my brows.

Originally I intended to get a set of lashes installed but after Izzy and I talked and my brows/lashes were looked over, we decided a lash lift and brow lamination were more my style. I figured they'd work perfectly with my weekday lazy girl makeup routine. The entire appointment was great, we chatted, I was given some much needed advice on how to start my brow grow out journey and what products can help with it, and got to learn a bit more about what the salon offers. In chatting I learned that the salon's been open for about two years and she participates in class pass, which is always a huge plus these days. She cares about making you look your best & made sure to give me an idea of what to expect at the start. I really appreciated that we talked before she started because once I got cozy, I wouldn't have been fully listening and fighting sleep. This surprises me but the appointment was actually so relaxing. I'd love to go back and see what other beauty treatments I can nap through. The space itself is super cute and has room for multiple services. There are private treatment rooms and a more open space currently for lashes & brows. The prices listed on the services menu also looked super reasonable to me - pro-tip: at home lash lifts don't go well (trust me), skip the DIY and treat yourself. Extremely frustrating experience with Thread Bar's Washington Square location and their handling of…read moreClassPass. I went in person to schedule a lash lift and tint and specifically told the employee I wanted to use my ClassPass credits. When I asked how to book it through ClassPass, she told me, "Don't worry about it. You don't need to book it on there since we made the appointment here." On the day of my appointment, only one hour beforehand, I received a call saying they couldn't honor it because the Washington Square location doesn't use ClassPass. Five minutes later, they called back and said they would accommodate me. I again made it very clear that I wanted to use ClassPass and was willing to go to whichever location accepted it. They specifically told me to go to Washington Square. After my service, I was then told I couldn't use ClassPass because I hadn't booked through the app--even though the same employee who performed my service was the person who originally told me I didn't need to. Their explanation was that they're "fairly new on ClassPass and still figuring it out." I understand being new to the platform, but their mistake and repeated misinformation should not cost the customer money. I paid for the service, but I won't be returning and will be reporting the experience to ClassPass. If you're going to participate in ClassPass, your staff should understand how it works and honor what customers are told.
