I was browsing salons in the area and I chose The Parlour simply because the online booking system was so seamless! Thereafter, everything else fell into place. The decor is beautiful! It's a mix of french vintage with stunning furniture and timeless wall pieces. Ry cut my hair. Absolutely delightful and engaged in conversation! Near the end of my appointment, a male entered and as someone who wears the hijab; I was quickly asked if I wanted to go to the back room. I myself didn't even put two and two together! I was absolutely touched by the empathy and consideration of this. It really touched my heart! I love my haircut! I don't need to style it with products to see my layers! Every step was explained to me. Definitely book The Parlour for your next haircut!

I asked for 1/2 inch just a small trim. I am getting married and want to grow my hair out. The hair stylist ended up cutting over an inch off, and thinned out my hair. I was upset because she did what she thought would look good vs what I asked for. Also, my blowout was really frizzy. It may have been my specific stylist. I don't think I'd return for a haircut.

In LOVE with my tan given by Fran! I achieved such amazing natural color... fast!!…read more We did a mini consultation before we began and decided to go with "mocha", which is the most popular color. I've had my fair share of spray tans over the years (my husband eve part owned a salon that gave them), and I have never had a color choice like the ones given here. I thought it was awesome! Originally I thought I would want to go darker with the "espresso" and Fran sprayed me, let me look at my tan line, and let me decide. But she was right, "mocha" was just perfect. It's your option to wear (or not) whatever you want. They do have disposable thongs available if you don't want to go au naturale, but want as much color as possible. Fran took her time with me, and even applied baby powder to soak up excess moisture on a very hot day to prevent streaking. Conversation was great and she was super professional. This can certainly be an awkward thing and Fran made me feel completely at ease. If this is your first spray tan be prepared to not get wet for 8-12 hours although for $10 more they have an express option which allows for showering in just 3 hours. Wear baggy dark clothes, exfoliate and shave prior to your appointment. Booking same day was super simple, but I would recommend calling at least a few days in advance. There's 10% with Yelp check-in and BOGO half for first timers. Went with the latter option and cannot wait to return the next time and get sprayed again when I have another special occasion or just want to feel extra golden and sexy. I UV tan regularly and this color is so incredibly difficult to attain that way. Plus, this spray is organic and much bette for you! They also have a full spa downstairs offering facials and lash services. Parking unmetered out front was super simple. Went perfectly with grabbing a bite at Suraya down the street. Awesome find!!

A few times it was fine, not great but fine, but some of the technicians need training to not damage your nails. Once I went in and got gel polish removed and she was so rough she put a dent/pit in one of my nails that took a while to grow out. I've also had two different people clip my cuticles so aggressively I bled, which has never happened to me anywhere else. The last time it wouldn't stop bleeding where she cut me and instead of waiting a few more minutes she started to paint over the cut, at that point I had it and told her to just remove the color and left. I don't want to constantly leave a place worrying if I'm going to get an infection because they gave me an open wound. In addition they take appointments but then don't actually hold a spot for you, so you either have to wait a while or awkwardly sit in a pedicure chair to get a mani. It's a shame, I hardly get my nails done anymore because there's no good spots nearby.

Even with that, there is still some wait before being serviced. The service is great and the employees are super friendly. They take their time and I've never felt rushed. The complimentary beverages are a plus (water, wine, or soda). With the wine it makes me feel like my pedicure is the start to my vacation. While that is all good, they are slightly pricy compared to other nail salons I've patronized.

For me personally, getting my nails done is the ultimate form of self care. I always feel 1000% better when I have a natural looking, but beautifully decorated set on my hands. Prior to finding Majestic, I had done both gel and acrylic, but I've since switched to dip with Gel Designs, which is what Lina specializes in. Never in my life have I had my nails look this wonderful, and I truly, truly mean that. I'm not even currently in the office, and all of my colleagues want to see my nails whenever we hop on zoom meetings. Lina is such a sweetheart and I genuinely enjoy my appointments with her. I always make sure to let her know what I'm looking for prior to the appointment just so she can be prepared with colors, supplies, and appropriate time and whatnot. I'm so appreciative that she takes her time and it really shows in her work. I walk away with my beautiful little works of art on my fingers and I could not be happier. I saw a couple of others in reviews commenting on prices and I'll say this: if you want a $35 set, they're going to look like a $35 set. If you want quality set of nails, that look gosh darn GORGEOUS, come here. You get what you pay for. You're paying for someone to take their time, and make your nails look beautiful, and I'm personally willing to pay someone for their artistic craft. Thats what this is. Nails are art. Pay artists for their work.

They were able to fit me in on Tuesday at 5:30 right after work, which was perfect. The salon is very clean, neat, and chic. When you walk in, you are offered wine or water. :) I opted for the first-time guest wash, cut, dry for $30 (which is a steal!). Kim was my stylist and she did a bang up job on my long, thick, Asian hair! She was so sweet and professional. I asked to take off about 5 inches, angles in front, and texturize at the end and it came out perfect! My hair is back to life! When I left, I was given Kim's hours and a few coupons for future visits. I will definitely be returning. It was such a wonderful experience. I feel like a new person!
