I happen to catch the WIS news segment Carolina Cookin which highlighted the business, Nothin But Wings. Both news reporters were raving about their wings and grilled shrimp salad and I knew immediately I needed to make my way at some point! I mean the food looked delicious! This was a business that opened during the pandemic and has been sustaining since. My dad came to visit and wanted to go to lunch so I thought Nothin But Wings would be the place! I put the address in the GPS and it took my right to the business. The parking lot can be a bit congested but you should be able to pull in and find a spot. This is a pick up type of place. You place your order on one side of the building and pick up your food on the other side of the building. The menu is a pretty big menu offering a variety and something for everyone. I took advantage of a dinner special which was a 10 piece wings plate with fries, a roll, and a jumbo tea. The special ran from 4 pm to 6 pm. I decided to go with the garlic parmesan and the metro sweet hot wing flavors. I also requested that may wings are fried hard. I love my wings crispy. My dad ordered the grilled shrimp plate with wild rice and steamed broccoli. They were out of rice, so my dad got fried okra instead. The wait wasn't too bad at all. I mean the food is fresh made to order so the wait is reasonable when you take that into consideration. You have to speak through a boxed microphone to place your order. In addition, you are asked to give your name and you're given a ticket with a number at the bottom. When your order is ready, you will either be called by name, your ticket number, or both. Once we received our drinks and food, we headed home so we could tear into the food which was smelling so good! I tasted one of the grilled shrimp and I must say it was very tasty! Seasoned very well! The broccoli had a great taste as well! A light lemon taste and also seasoned well. I do not eat okra so I did not try that, but my dad said they were good and they did look like they were fried well and evenly breaded. The fries were good. The portion of fries was just decent. I wanted more fries, however, I guess the roll made up for that. It was a typical dinner roll. Still good! Okay, let's get to the wings! The garlic parmesan wings with actual shredded parmesan was so amazing! The wings are a great size, not too big and not too small. They were also cooked really well. I loved the shredded parmesan with the garlic flavor. The metro sweet hot was like a sweet and spicy type of wing flavor and it was amazing as well! The sweet pepper flavor hit the wings just right. I literally cleaned all 10 of those wings. There were 5 garlic parmesan and 5 metro sweet hot and all 10 was just so delicious! I cannot wait to go back! I am going to try and order something different next time to try new things, but I can't make any promises because I enjoyed the wings and their flavors so much!! This was a road trip pit stop and I wish I ordered the whole menu! Got there 30 minutes after they opened, and luckily we did because there was about 8 people behind us, so I was stoked. The nice women at the door to order was very friendly. Got the Philly sandwich lunch special and 6 pc wing combo. Philly cheesesteak was JUICY and drippy and so flavorful. Dipped in the garlic sauce was TOO GOOD, words can't explain the GOODNESS. Fried broccoli was great especially dipped in ranch but I prefer the raw broccoli it was tender and in a buttery lemon sauce that had my mouth watering for a second serving. Now the wings. Wow! Get that sweet hot metro flavor- it was the jam. So juicy. So tender. And hot flavor, not actually hot- just the way I like it baby! Chased down with a buttery roll and some fresh lemonade. Customer service was great. The guy who took my order, we laugh and engaged in a small friendly laugh while placing my order. Then the sweet little lady who gave me my food was as sweet as she could be. I ordered the kids meal hot dog and fries with a sweet tea. The food smelled great! Had my mouth watering so bad I sat in my car in the parking lot and started eating. With less than 5% of my hotdog left, I started crunching on something so I spit it out immediately as hot dogs and chili is not usually prepared with hard crunchy items. It appeared to a be a bone gristle. Since I was 95% finished with my meal, I didn't report it to the looks, I just spit it out and discarded the rest of my meal. It's been a few days since my visit and I'm alive and well thank God, but I will not be visiting here again. I'm sure it was an honest kitchen mistake and I don't even want to wrap my brain around how a piece of bone got caught up the chili or the hot dog supplies.
