The inside has been renovated pretty recently, and it is a small and quaint shop. The staff is always nice, and everything is priced at an affordable level. I usually come here for lunch. When you order a sandwich, you also get chips, as well. I also like to try their soup of the days, and my favorite is the cream of broccoli. Their cookies are my favorite thing they have to offer. I believe it is their specialty. They are really consistent, made fresh, and soft in the inside. I have tried almost every single flavor and each one has been good. I have also tried their cà phê sữa đá (Vietnamese coffee with condensed milk) a few times, and personally it is not my favorite. It is very dark even with the condensed milk, and I feel like there is something missing. I have had better cà phê sữa đá and prefer the ones my aunt makes at home more. Overall, Golden Croissant is a cute place to grab a small lunch. I think it is one of my favorite places in this small town and has a lot to offer for a good price. I definitely recommmed getting a sprinkle cookie or two when coming here!

I prefer my croissants to be a light brown colour rather than golden, but I'll give them a free pass. Excellent bakery to which I was going to give 4 stars for their delicious goods, croissants especially, which are some of the better ones I've had in the United States. But when you consider that it's in a little town and not at all where you would expect to find a good Bakery, it's remarkable, and I have no choice but to award five stars.

I needed it by the next day at 10:30am, but the baker wasn't scheduled to arrive until an hour later. The owner/manager assured me she would come in an hour early to have it ready in time. And it certainly was. The party of 42 guests thoroughly enjoyed the cake, which was so delicious! Not too sweet, perfectly moist and simply beautiful, inside and out. Everyone remarked how delicious the cake was. I shared Ana's address with everyone, so hopefully, they'll be knocking down the door. *Update* Nearly one year ago I visited this store as I annually do when I come in for the holidays…read moreand it needed much attention.. but oh how they have changed in a year! I was in recently on my annual trip and needed to stock up on all great Cajun products and meats.. and low and behold.. the revamp of the store was completed. The store front has a new modern face lift that will be bound to survive the next seasons hurricanes. The parking lot lights and area are well lit and open. The overall front area of the store has a great inviting presence. As you enter the store, they have changed the lighting and the walking flow so that you can easily get what you need without clutter and they used clearly posted signs and markings for specials. As to the classic memory of the store, they have kept all of the check out stations just as you have always known them. The baskets as well and the Managers station is still elevated and visible by everyone.. so you know where to find them if you need to. The meat counter area is brightly lit and always providing fresh choice cuts. Overall, the service has improved as well. I simply walked down any aisle and I was always greeted and directed to where I needed to find something. Sometimes, the best stores have the best employees.. and this is a family heritage that covers every generation. Bruce's is a neighborhood staple. It has survived and updated with the times. I am pleased that they finally were able to complete the renovations and stay off the weather of time and be around for future generations.
