This season, I've been there twice and my wife once, all at different times. Each time, there was an excessive amount of waiting involved. Twice, I was told that the food item I asked for, was not available. My wife, the same. I'm talking basics here, not strange and rare items. There also seems to be some items offered cold that normally should be offered hot. No one that I know wants or craves a cold golumpki or pierogi. 3 separate visits and 3 disappointments. Recommendation? Find a few things you do really well, and stick with it. If you still have pickles, start with that. They were great.

The coffee was old harsh and stale just like the cashier who embarrassed herself and my son and i by shrieking" what did i do" as we exited the store. On the other hand The B & B Deli will be on my list for sure The woman there made up tenfold for the rude treatment at Millstone Market I will tell my friends and family to make sure to skip the charming looking place . Thanks to a craigslist ad, I recently made my first visit to Gothic Top Farm to purchase hay for my…read morehorse. Jim was welcoming and easy to communicate with. He responded quickly to my texts to set up a pick time and date and answer my questions about cost and payment method. He was not upset when I missed my first pick day and was flexible about time, showing no annoyance when I showed up 30 minutes late, which I greatly appreciate as a busy mom of 4 who works full time. Once my husband and I arrived Jim introduced himself and invited me to select my own bales from the hayloft, then helped deliver them to our truck. The hay is very high quality and my horse immediately gobbled it up. On my way out he showed me the farm's winter produce supply, including winter squash and potatoes. They also had a large selection of maple syrup in different sizes. Jim shared his new website link with me and I discovered more goodies, like buffalo-style pickled eggs, which I promptly ordered to be shipped to my brother-in-law. Overall, it was a great experience and I am looking forward to our next hay pickup :)

They have CSA shares, but what I really love about them is you can order whatever produce you wish online and then pick it up at their farm on either Friday or Monday afternoons. It's so convenient, and their prices are great! They even have dairy products and Diemand Farm soups and pot pies. It's great to be able to get fresh, local produce when the farmers market is closed. It's also great to support a local farm without the expense or commitment of buying a CSA share.

The customer service is great and the weekly emails and recopies are also entertaining and delicious! We made a trip out to the farm this summer to "pick your own" and that was definitely worth the drive from Boston. Lots of fresh veggies and flowers all included in the cost of your normal share. Everyone there was very friendly! The only downside to the CSA is the occasional lack of variety. LOTS of greens most of the summer, and heavy on the root veggies in the fall/winter. For the most part it's a good variety, but could mix it up a bit more maybe? Overall a great value and we'll be back next summer for sure!
