It was nice to bring my 2 year old and let him run around the farm. The produce was great quality, and organic from what I've read. Sadly, we wasted more than we ate. You pick a lot at one time, and must eat it quick or it goes bad, and being a full time working family, we found it hard to find time to prepare everything. I won't be signing up again next year, It's not the farms fault, but my own. I would like to visit once in awhile next year, and just buy what I need at the moment.

The colors of the fresh vegetables was terrific- a photographers dream of orange and yellow tomatoes, purple eggplants, bright red and deep green peppers, plus the distinctive coloring of beets and carrots and sunflowers. I've seen some bigger markets, but really - if you're looking for fresh produce this should be more than enough for you to peruse. We picked up some zucchinis and a pint of "Chicken of the Woods" (not sure if its a wild mushroom or edible plant) from the Wild Edibles stand. It's almost like even though you bought a $20 ticket to be there, it feels a hell of a lot more like your friendly neighbors sent you an invitation to their fun backyard BBQ. They had a local string band playing traditional Irish and American tunes. We were all under a canopy tent with picnic tables. We chilled for awhile listening to the music, meeting the locals, watching the sunset over the mountains and all their cows in the fields, just sippin on some cool iced tea and lemonades while they put the finishing touches on the food. I was kinda disappointed they didn't have someone ringing a triangle when the food was ready. And afterwards they had Barts Ice Cream selling small little cups of only 3 of their flavors, I think $4 a cup? It was a very small portion and only 3 flavors, but I guess we were lucky to have even that, It's just one person who has to drag a cart all the way behind the house. You can go inside the farm store and they have some baked goods and some ice cream sandwiches and other yummy things. They brought they're pony or donkey out to say hi to everyone. All their cows came right up to the fence and started eating the piles of corn husks and we got to feed them and pet them too. It was just such a great evening with good people and such a small town welcoming kindness that's getting harder and harder to find now a days. Love the place, love the food, love the people. I made sure I stopped on my way back and I am happy I did. Greeted with warmth and positivity which was enough to buy two cartons of strawberries and some asparagus. Brought them to my car and went back up to ask a question to end up buying some jams that I didn't see the first time. Horrible with remembering names, but Sandy and her co-worker are a joy to strike up a quick conversation with. Greatly appreciated their hospitality and the farm they work for. I say time and time again Western Massachusetts has the best people in the state.
