HORRIFIC COMPANY TO WORK FOR! Im almost forced to write this review because it is imperative to know that this company is a SHIT SHOW and conducted as such! First of all the amount of work as a dispatcher is EXTENSIVE and extensive is almost too kind of a word to even use here to describe the amount of work that is required of someone who just started here. Not only is it extensive but there is absolutely no structure and NO PROPER TRAINING AT ALL. You would think with the amount of work that is required as a dispatcher that the very least they could do is provide a proper training course but no! That is not at all what you get here. You are expected to show up to work everyday and get your job done and figure it out as you go and frowned upon if you have the nerve to speak up and say "I wasn't trained on this". Donald C is the supervisor for dispatchers and the amount of times he looked at me like I had 4 heads every time I mentioned that I have no knowledge or wasn't trained on this was concerning because how is it that you expect me to know anything here with 2 solid days of training and only 2 weeks in on this job. When expressed to upper management how poorly the training process is here they will shut you up by having you sit with someone to shadow them and basically just watch them scram and be overwhelmed with their work in which they ALREADY have a shit ton of work to do and to take care of and expected to also find the time to train someone who has absolutely no clue what is going on here. The 3 dispatchers who are superior here can't even find the time to scratch their own ass yet alone do their own work but somehow have to find the time to train on top of the load of work they already have. This company is a joke if I'm being quite honest and I should've know when a dispatcher was THREATENED to not get a raise because they wouldn't agree to do overtime all because THEY were short on staff. Overtime should be voluntarily however IT IS NOT and far from it. You are REQUIRED and it is MANDATORY that you take any overtime that is given to you and again there is no option to say no. Which brings me back to the training as a new employee thats the excuse they give when you complain about not being trained properly "they are low on staff" as if that is your personal problem to figure out. After 2 weeks of being here again with no proper training they threw me to run a WHOLE DIVISION! Not only do you have to answer calls back to back, assign technicians to jobs, babysit mechanics and make sure their not on a job too long, write up reqs to order parts, follow up on parts to see if they came in, follow up on on emails, check over 1000 emails a day, respond to clients about work not completed, follow up with mechanics and supervisors as to why work was not completed, enter work orders as they come in through email, enter work orders as they come in through phone, follow up with other departments about repairs, close out completed tickets, close out monthly maintenance tickets, violation tickets, follow up tickets, waiting for parts tickets, follow up with supervisor tickets, do payroll for mechanics which by the way they have a payroll department that should be doing this but doesn't so it falls on you basically if a mechanic is shorted on their check and to top it all off you have other departments coming to you through out the day to do this and that for you its no wonder why your allowed 2 15 minute breaks through out the day. I cant tell you how many times I had to hold my own piss in fear of forgetting to do something or not being able to get things done in a timely manner with the extensive amount of work that is thrown on you PER DAY. I was only here a month and a half and I was terminated because unfortunately I couldn't keep up with the amount of work they throw on you for a measly $24 dollars an hour. A joke ! This job gives people anxiety, stress, and being overwhelmed that you almost want to take the work home with you because 8 Hours of your time just isn't enough to get the job done on a daily basis. read more

I'm so unhappy with this company- they sell you a line of goods, but install crap- CONSTANT problems including not running at all & they do not respond for hours. Be forewarned!!! Nouveau is upgrading Queensview elevators right now. An unexpected side effect: Our front doors are left open and unattended throughout the day, allowing thieves and vandals unfettered access. I've spoken to their workers, they've so far ignored the complaint. If Nouveau doesn't take our safety seriously, then maybe we picked the wrong vendor for this job. read more

This company has been upgrading our elevators since June of 2016. Their original estimate of 6 months is now at 11 months. They scream down the elevator shaft instead of using Walkie Talkies, disturbing all the businesses in-between. Smoke in the elevator shaft (illegal in NYC) and didn't stop until our Super Intendant called them out on it. But aside from that, our elevators have more problems now than they ever did before, and they were 50 years old. Speaking to them they seem like nice enough guys, but unfortunately actions speak louder than words. read more

I am a board member for The Chocolate Factory Condos in Brooklyn, NY. Nouveau had been our prior elevator service company. Due to their failure to file a NYC DOB 2011 Affirmation of correction more than one year late to the DOB. This resulted in a $3,000 fine. Nouveau has not responded to requests for reimbursement for these fines. This is routine procedure and their failure to file on our behalf was a failure of service. read more

I have been working in the same office building for nearly 23 years. I've seen quite a bit of good, some bad and some ugly when it comes to repairing elevators. In 23 years, I've never come across a company like Nouveau. One day back in May of 2018, I noticed some Nouveau employees fixing up one of the elevator banks. I figured this was a normal maintenance routine every year or so that would make sure all the elevators in the building were working properly. What seemed like routine work at the time has turned into a complete and utter DISASTER. Fast forward one year later and they are still working on the same bank of elevators. For weeks and even months, I gave them the benefit of the doubt. I thought there were extensive renovations to be made and that the elevators would run perfectly once they were done. WRONG!!! A full year has gone by, and every single elevator has become SUBSTANTIALLY worse. I have heard horror stories across the building of these elevators getting stuck in between floors and having the doors close on people trying to get in. How is this possible? How can you spend a year on something and make it worse? The past few months we have seen rotating bodies working on the elevators. I've counted as many as 15 different employees trying to fix the same one elevator, and up to 5 at a time. There tends to be one person that looks like he knows what he's doing while the other 4 watch youtube videos together. I'm thinking about bringing my 4 year old son in to finish the job by himself, because he sure as hell couldn't do any worse. Constantly, workers are disrupted by loud drilling noises and screaming down the shafts. This hinders productivity and communication amongst our office like nothing else. This company is a DISGRACE and gives hard-working, blue-collar elevator repairmen all over the world a bad reputation. It's sad to see one company ruin the very foundation of what was once a respectful industry. I am scarred after this elevator experience with Nouveau, and they still aren't done. We will likely be dealing with the same circumstances in May of 2020, with the same people fixing the same elevators using the same incredibly loud drills that disturb us hard working people. One day, I hope that we can learn from the mistakes of Nouveau and hire a competent group of elevator repairmen that smile when they see us and finish the job in a reasonable amount of time. Until then, I will continue my daily commute seeing these same people in the morning, who pretend like they're fixing some incredibly complex problem that's going to save the world.
