Knee replacement. I wouldn't use anyone else. And they take Tri-Care. He might just be the best in Virginia.

I usually see another knee specialist in this practice, but I needed to have my knee scoped quickly due to a work deadline.

OrthoVirginia submits the charges to the primary insurance and then bills me for what the primary does not pay while they wait for payment by the supplemental provider. The amount "due" pops up every time I log in to the portal to check in for appointments which is quite irritating. This is on top of multiple paper bills sent via USPS that have a payment due date of the day I receive them. While my supplemental insurance shows all charges paid, it takes OrthoVirginia a very long time to properly credit payments (if at all). In the interim they annoy you with check in pop ups and paper bills. I have called multiple times about this and once I finally get past the AI agent, I receive the same person who appears to be offshore. The agent can see the payments were made in full by my supplemental insurance. I am assured the issue is being escalated however continue to receive reminders about amounts due that have long been paid. As I go in once or twice a week for physical therapy this will be an ongoing issue that is quite frustrating.

I am a 63-year-old woman with multiple chronic conditions that cause widespread daily pain. My…read morerheumatologist referred me to this pain clinic, and I was hopeful I would receive both a treatment plan and some relief while waiting for longer-term treatments. Although I have already had numerous X-rays, MRIs, and CT scans, additional X-rays were taken during my visit. I showed Dr. Sundar an insurance approval letter for a new infusion that will help my pain and condition but he said he was not familiar with the medication. I told Dr Sundar I was experiencing new pain that started 2 days ago and thought it to be Sciatica but he totally dismissed me, he would not check out condition. He told me he does not prescribe pain medication and could refer me to physical therapy, order new MRIs, and schedule steroid injections months down the road. I asked if there was anything that could help with my pain until those treatments took effect. He replied that if I was in pain, I should go to the emergency room. When I questioned why new X-rays were taken after he said X-rays don't show those problems, the conversation became confrontational. I felt he raised his voice and spoke to me in an unprofessional manner, so I chose to leave. I understand that doctors have different approaches to pain management, but every patient deserves to be treated with respect, compassion, and professionalism. Unfortunately, that was not my experience. There are many different NSAIDS that are prescribed for pain daily, this doctor does not have to prescribe a narcotic but could have easily prescribed Motrin or Voltaren Gel or given an insert for how to treat Sciatica but this doctor just says he does not prescribe medication period. However if you pull him up on his Youtube channel he list his protocols and the first thing on his list is Medication.

I had a very frustrating experience with the billing and administrative practices at Town Center…read moreOrthopaedics. I visited for an acute hand injury and the office verified my insurance before the appointment, but no one informed me that a PCP referral was required for coverage. After the visit, the claim was denied and I was left with a $520 bill that was eventually sent to collections, forcing me to go through months of appeals with my insurer and even the Virginia Bureau of Insurance. During that process it became clear that the claim was submitted as a specialist office visit and not coded as urgent care, even though the visit was for an acute injury. The state review indicated the provider could submit a corrected claim for reconsideration, but the billing office never corrected or resubmitted it. This entire situation could have been avoided with basic communication or proper billing follow-up. If I had been informed upfront that a referral was required, I would have simply obtained one. Patients should not have to deal with collections and regulatory appeals because of administrative oversights and lack of transparency.

Excellent Treatment by Dr. Brita Allgyer…read more I cannot recommend Dr. Brita Allgyer highly enough. Her expertise, pleasant personality, and deep knowledge made a difficult recovery possible after I injured myself in a fitness class. I found Dr. Brita through recommendations of others at my gym, and she was amazing from our first initial consultation and throughout my treatment. I was in significant pain and worried about my mobility, but Dr. Brita gave me an entire treatment plan and things to work on alone so I could positively affect my recovery. She gave me suggestions on how to strengthen other muscle groups to help prevent future injuries, as well. It is rare that a Doctor would take as much time with patients as she does (a full hour with Dr. Brita on each visit). Dr. Brita gives her patients the extra effort to ensure their future health, not just fix what is broken. Beyond her exceptional professional skills, Dr. Brita is an absolute delight to be around. Her friendly, positive, and genuinely warm demeanor made every single session enjoyable. I honestly looked forward to my appointments and often found that the hour was over too quickly because she was such a pleasure to talk to. If you're looking for a physical therapist who combines top-tier skill with a truly wonderful personality, look no further than Dr. Brita Allgyer. She's simply the best! My rating is 10 out of 10 for amazing service, knowledge, and super kind demeanor.

She is experienced and shares her knowledge so I can improve my body as a whole.

I ultimately decided to continue care with and in-network provider but getting records from VSI was a pain. They have an online patient portal with mostly empty tabs. I called to request my xrays and they can't upload them so I requested a CD to pickup. The CD wasn't ready when they said it would be and I had to wait 15 min for it. For my original appointment most of the few bins of snacks for patients were empty. Not a big deal, but shows poor management. I used them years ago and had a good experience, which is why I went back, but my opinion has changed

Dr. Bharara gave me a clear diagnosis after years of me searching for answers. He gave me a treatment plan and PRP injections at VSI have been very effective for treating my injury. Dr. Bharara is also incredibly kind and knows how to listen to his patients. I originally went to another doctor at VSI who wasn't able to help my situation, but he knew to direct me to his colleague and for that I am so thankful. VSI is incredibly competent. I will forever trust them with any spine injuries or issues.

I saw Dr. George Kratalian who is a foot specialist for a foot problems that occurred in June 2025…read more The doctor diagnosed me with plantar fasciitis. His diagnosis was wrong, so he had to rule out his own diagnosis during a follow up visit six weeks later by sending me to get an MRI of my foot, recommending seeing a neurologist, and getting blood work for a series of illnesses. I had the MRI done and when I visited his office for a follow up visit several several month later, he told me that I needed to go back to Fairfax radiology to get an MRI of my toes since he had not specified toes. I went back to Fairfax radiology and my insurance charged me an exorbitant amount of money simply because the Dr. had forgotten to note toes in his order to the radiologist. I spoke with the radiologist at Fairfax radiology and she said that it should've been a specified in the first place. If I were you, I would avoid going to this doctor. This has cost me a lot of money and time had he been more precise and knowledgeable.
