He is anything but. He is excellent at what he does and takes his job of being the best healthcare provider he can be very seriously. For those who didn't click with him and call his "bedside manner" poor, that's your individual experience. In fact, I personally don't understand why someone would want a doctor who is better at holding your hand than a doctor who is the best at what he does. After all, we're talking about your HEALTH. I didn't always agree with his assessment, and of course, I let him know it, but one thing I have always appreciated about Dr. Carter above so many other local docs is his ability to treat people with an ounce of respect. He seemed to feel he'd earned his degree and never was obviously threatened at any given time by any questions I threw his way. In this town, that says a ton! With his personality, I've always believed Dr. Carter could carve a huge niche helping people "nutritionally" since so few are even willing to acknowledge the help supplements can be. I had to go to the ER at BAH this morning because I was having bad throat pain and trouble…read moredrinking/eating. From the guy who helped us at the front desk to both nurses, the medical student trainee and the Doctor himself were all absolutely lovely! I was taken back to a room before the guy at the front desk, named Mike I believe, absolute legend btw, was even done getting all my info. Strep Throat was the diagnosis, had me out of there in about 30 mins . Thank you to everyone there .

Need a class action law suit. My loved one went in in such bad shape, Congestive heart failure and…read morecopd badly infected feet amoung other things. They pumped him full of meds just to push him out the door which attacked his kidneys. No home care, no skilled nursing care offered. He died two months later. Discharged him to the very home in which he left in such bad shape. I saw this hospital in action when my sister just 2 months later ended up there. It's push meds do the test until you can copy and paste the numbers needed to push them out the door.
