I write A-OK a bit ignorantly. You see, when I went in to see this doc many years ago I was REALLY…read moreFAT! I'm guessing THAT is likely the reason people come see him from elsewhere --- as I understand it, he's the one doing all the stomach stapling! He offered to do me... if I could gain just eight more pounds. UGGGHHHHH!!! Really? So, I came home and lost weight. Having said that, he seemed ubber-professional, and quite nice. He did another procedure on me one time (a scope) and I was pleased as anyone could be having a tube shoved down my gullet. :) Truthfully, he did make the experience less miserable than I anticipated it was going to be, and for that I'm thankful. Had another occasion to watch him deal with a hospitalized friend, and will say I was impressed by his professional personal presentation, as well as attentive bedside manner. If I ever get fat enough to decide I want my stomach all rearranged... he'd likely be the one I'd contact. But... not going to hold my breath. Or, maybe I will, to keep from over-eating! Guess I just find it kinda sad a doc gets so popular on such a "niche". Some folks I've known genuinely needed to have this stomach procedure, and I'm glad there's a doc who knows how to get it done successfully. As for all the others I know who've chosen the surgical route to rapid weight loss... I think it's a very bad idea.

It is hard to learn to love yourself , some people have to work at it at different levels . I have had to have some other surgeries for medical reasons . I was most thankful to have him as the surgeon . I admire him because he is straight forward and very professional .He will work hard for you but expects you to work hard for yourself . His office staff is helpful ,understanding and always willing to offer advise. I would not hesitate to call Dr Tersigni office for anything if they can not help you they will direct you to who can . I had nasal surgery on Monday and I cannot say enough good things about South Coast Surgery Center…read more Highly recommend going there! Juan was my nurse getting me checked in, he made me feel loved and cared for. Checked on me constantly before surgery and even called me the next morning to check on me. Dr. Hurbis did my surgery and I highly recommend him as a doctor for all ear nose and throat needs. Dr. Meeker was my anesthesiologist and never left my side during surgery. I was out within 15 seconds so he must've done a great job. And Drew was my nurse in recovery. She took great care of me. I don't remember much of that time but my mom said she was very loving also. I was very hot when I got out of surgery. She got me a wet rag, water, helped me get dressed and even walked me to the pickup. I am healing nicely. And got my gauze taking out this morning but am still in the healing process and sleeping a lot. Thank you to everyone that has reached out to check on me. Really know how to make a girl feel loved!

I have been taking a friend to south coast ortho for a few months and have been impressed with her…read moretreatment and the doctors and staff there. So when I got referred for evaluation I was looking forward to it. As a retired medical professional and after years of dealing with my spine related issues. I have had several surgical consultations. Usually educational but surgical intervention has never been an option. With some scary mobility issues developing recently, I was hoping to find out what had changed. My first appointment with Dr. Curcin was a little concerning as he came into the room empty-handed and had apparently not bothered to scan through my medical records..asking me to explain why I was there. There is far too much going on with my spine for me to 'fill him in'..this was incredibly unprofessional, to begin with. I try to explain the highlights of the issue, he states I need an MRI, of which my physician had already ordered. I returned after getting the MRI, and as I am waiting, I can hear the doctor walk up to the door, open the file and stand there and read it...all of 60 seconds. He then walks in and gives me a one-sentence synopsis of my MRI and we were done. He shows me no MRI report, goes into NO detail. He is interested in NO further discussion and gets defensive and pissy when I attempt to discuss it further..Literally saying "What do you expect me to do Ms Alexander"..VERY RUDE! Cut me off and developed defensive body language. He had NO intention of going into any details. WHAT did I just PAY for? I can read the MRI report and glean the information he provided! WHAT a WASTE of money! A more qualified professional sits down, a report in hand, pictures to show are even better..and explains what the MRI found in DETAIL..and a good physician uses their skills to evaluate the new report compared to the old. as it had been 10 years since the last MRI. I got NONE OF THAT! He actually tried to tell me there were no changes in 10 years..that is blatant BS! Too many physical symptoms directly contradict that, yet these symptoms were being completely ignored.. He literally REFUSED to discuss the MRI further. Obviously, no surgical money to be made on me..so we are done here..get out. The interaction took 5 minutes or less. I was so disgusted by his unwillingness to even discuss the MRI..almost felt like I should apologize for wasting his time. I walked out of there in tears of frustration and dissapointment..Not that there was no surgical intervention..but there had been NOTHING learned or gained from a VERY expensive MRI and Consultation Fee! I am feeling entirely ripped off and as if I was mistreated by an arrogant, unconcerned medical provider. In all fairness... the rest of the staff have been very nice. My friend, who did get surgery, was treated by another physician and they were awesome. But, apparently, not everybody working there is on the same page with patient care. What a shame.

Update on my just now ENT experience:…read more "I just had my appointment. It was for an ear injury/infection of one month's duration. I first missed the building several times because I couldn't find the sign from the street driving in. I then waited 10 minutes for the receptionist to end her phonecalll and check me in without a "sorry for your wait" as I was standing there. I had read up a bit on this new doctor, Dr Webster, and was eager to chat briefly with him about his internship/externship past in San Francisco and Northern CA, where my mother is. During the wait, I was bombarded with "body shaming" options that made me feel old and harried, even though I obviously wrongly feel I look a younger than my age sometimes. Dr. Wallace walked in, and from the moment he started with me, he was completely unreceptive to conversation, made me feel extremely uncomfortable - like a "specimen", and deferred and talk about generalities. He checks my ear with all the strange devices, not telling me what he was doing, and proceeds to tell me there is nothing ge can really do but continue my antibiotic/steroid ear drops and wait. His demeanor and tone and words made me feel completely ridiculous and insignificant. It really was demoralizing. Then, I sheepishly inquired a bit about my "neck skin", which has become loose due to my recent 30 pound weight loss - which I am really proud of and fit into size 6. He said he could answer a "few" questions, looked at my neck, and proceeded to tell me that only a neck lift would help me because "anything non-invasive would only help a younger woman". Oh my gosh, how awful and insensitive a delivery for someone who was obviously self-conscious, shy, and hopeful. Just like that, deflated. In an eager search then for ANY words if encouragement, I asked "Well, with all the skincare products I invest in and my overall attempts at good health, exercise, etc, how does my skin and neck look for someone my age? I really, really thought he might say something encouraging and perky and kind...but he just flatly said "I guess I'd put you at like medium in how your skin looks - average". Then he said I can go. I am sitting out in the parking lot stunned and saddened. What an overall devastating experience for someone who has waited a month and has worked so, so very hard at maintaining as youthful a body and mind as possible. This was a terrible experience. I wish I had never gotten out if bed this morning. This is life for postmenopausal women."
