Some patients do not have access to employee plans and rely on Marketplace plans. Baylor Scott and White has decided to make a political based business decision based on recent Medicaid changes, while eliminating individual marketplace plans. For patients, we work to build our medical care teams within the BSW system, only now to be told our continuity of care matters not. Interestingly, the media is the one that has announced the end of these plans, yet the system has yet to inform the plan holders. I am sure that they will further change clinic and hospital insurance policy to not accept outside insurance plans. Sad to see a community care system which sends the message to the community "we want to care for you, but only if you are not on a marketplace plan or Medicaid". I used to be a proud customer/patient/client of Baylor, Scott and White but they have demonstrated a few times now, they care not about patients not Medicaid or marketplace associated.

I had a situation with no masks being used at a facility so I just searched on the internet and found an email / name of the second in charge. I let him know what was happening and this changed the next day (I had another appointment there). I like their policy to be your own advocate so if something in your gut is telling you something speak up! I kept fighting for my pain issues and was diagnosed with fibromyalgia. That was 18 years ago. I still kept getting pain, and I found out I had a rare immune disorder. My doctor fought for me and I absolutely will always be thankful.

I had such a strong cough that I was vomitting and couldn't get through my daily duties because the cough was so severe. The staff really listened to my issues and were so compassionate. I am truly grateful for the very skilled Nurse Practitioner-- a nice young lady, blonde hair-- forgot her name. She gave me just what I needed to heal and after just 24 hours I am a new person. Between multiple scheduling issues with THEM cancelling day of or getting times wrong, and one that concerned me most my doctor FOR pregnancy, prescribing something for my morning sickness and getting to the pharmacy and the pharmacist telling me they would highly recommend me NOT TAKE what was prescribed as it has a high rate of causing miscarriage. Changed my doctor hoping things would get better and still have yet to be seen three weeks later. Not to mention if you need to get ahold of them, I wouldn't hold your breath it'll be a few days before they do get back to you. Also needed a referral for two different specialists just to wait and find out they referred me not once but twice to places that didn't even accept my insurance.

There is no designated station for taking blood, you sit in a normal chair. The customer service, and helpfulness is the front staff is poor quality to say the least. The doctors are dismissive and not attentive at all. To make matters worse, the doctors are hardly in the office and have a severely limited schedule. Dr. Michael B is only after your money. I asked him to fill out paperwork for the VA, since he was my primary doctor throughout my diagnosis and treatment. Dr. B refused to even see me, or fill out the two page letter I needed for the VA. This is how he treats veterans I can only imagine how he treats all of his other clients.

However that is when the care ended. Every call to the office puts you in voicemail hell with no live person ever answering. Every voicemail left is never returned. They offer a texting service to contact them which also is never responded to. After 2 days of leaving messages we finally went to Premier ER. They took great care of my son and recommended contacting our GI for a medication adjustment. All we could do is laugh.
