Although I only receive services from one employee, everyone else in the salon is always talkative and friendly. Employees set their own hours, so more often than not the salon is not crowded, which is nice and relaxing. My hairstylist, Vanessa, is so great! She's very attentive and always makes sure my hair is perfect. She puts so much detail into her work, and never does anything half-way. The parking is in the back, small lot, I pulled into the wrong lot at first but don't worry there are signs for all the businesses around claiming their parking. You will know if you're not in the right parking lot/spot. Overall great cut, friendly staff, and clean. She definitely knows curls - particularly that everyone's are different and you have to experiment and learn what works. I've never had anyone try different products on my hair and really pay attention to what their impact. I understand being a first time client that there can be miscommunication, but I showed a reference photo and stated multiple times how I wanted to be brighter and she instead put a dark color in my hair. I went ahead and reached out to the salon owner who told me that Katie told her she couldn't get me the results like the picture I showed her, which is simply a lie. I have been getting my hair highlighted for 25 years and never had an issue getting it blonde. I told the salon owner I did not feel comfortable coming back in at this point and wanted a refund since I was now being treated like I was the problem. The salon owner said Katie would reach back out to me and she did not. I had to reach out to Katie again and asked for a refund since I would have to go to another stylist for the results I wanted. She responded saying she will not issue a refund since I took time in her chair and used a good amount of hair products. This experience has been very upsetting 1. to be told I'm basically lying and 2.spending $370 and getting the opposite result of what I wanted. This was incredibly smooth and simple to do online and I really appreciated that they were cool with texting. The space is vibrant, the music was on-point (Trevor Lamont mixes on the speaker - hell yeah), and the cut was exactly what I was looking for. I don't cut my hair often and just keep it long and layered, so the stylist taught me how to do basic styling that fit my personal routines. Excited to come back when I need to be done up for a show!
