I was a former Ace Garbage customer. When they handed their business over to Novak, I cancelled right away. That was the first part of June. Yesterday, I got a letter from Novak regarding my bill that is due to them. Today, I got an e-mailed bill. I am NOT a Novak customer. They have no authority to be billing me! I spoke to an agent on the phone, and she said that letter went out to all Ace Garbage customers. I guess they think that they can just bill us, even if we cancelled our garbage service and they are not picking up our trash. I did have Novak years ago. I fired them because they drove by and never picked up the garbage. They billed me then, too. They are running a shady business! read more

Novak is a joke. Right off the bat I will be very clear I work at the Sioux Falls landfill. The drivers are absolutely horrible. They will literally drive out of the pit stop in the middle of the roadway in the dump directly where the public enters and scrape trash off their trucks leaving it all over the road. No other company pulls this crap Novak just doesn't give a damn. The drivers are rude they have a horrible reputation for a reason and I can promise the 2 5 star reviews they have 100% must be the ladies working the phones which just happen to be just as horrible as the guys driving the trucks. The company is bad news there are several other options and I promise ANY company is better than Novak. read more

This company runs a scam where they say that you only pay for garbage service and your recycling pick up is free. Sounds nice, but what it means is that if they miss your recycling pick up they wont be back for a month to pick it up because recycling is only picked up every other week. I've been a customer for a decade but I'm quitting. read more

Customer for 15 years. Few complaints over the 15 years except regarding my having to call them to find out issues such as why they have stopped picking up and found out they want it out to the curb when they had been walking up the driveway previously. Weather is bad and holidays so they don't show up out here so they can take better care of Sioux Falls and drivers can go home. Again I called and argued not my problem. Nothing other than sorry for the inconvenience no refund nothing. When receptionist smarted off to me that was enough. Dropping and finding another service. read more

We have used Novak for years and have had nothing but great service. Very dependable and easy to contact when we use a vacation hold. The gal answering the phone is pleasant and can handle any questions and the drivers never miss a beat. read more

The service itself was OK, but when we moved and cancelled the service Novak continued to bill us. Ultimately, they even billed us for the trash containers which they had PICKED UP two months earlier. Poor record keeping. Watch for errors. read more
