There is a large and small dog section. On the large dog side, there is an agility course. My dog tried to play on some of the items, but he was too large which made the structure a little tippy. Our friends had the same challenge. Unfortunately, only individual 18 years or older are allowed in. My friend had to stay outside with her baby. Definitely a bummer. This isn't a great space for large dogs. The gates didn't seem secure. My friends and I came with our Great Danes and Irish Wolfhound. It was too small of a space of multiple Danes and large breeds. I was surprised to see workers cleaning up dog urine with a paper towel instead of a mop. If you have a small to medium dog and you need a place to play and stay warm, this is your spot. Ample parking. Light snacks for humans and dogs are available for purchase too.

The park is in a lovely part of Ann Arbor…read more(the view of river is particularly great), the runs are spacious and clean, the folks and pups that come are nice as can be, and it's much closer to us than the other two parks, but it's got a few things that could take it up a notch. The first is yes, water would be great. I'm so used to those great people/pup drinking fountains around town that I stupidly didn't bring my pups water. Luckily a very nice fellow dog parent allowed mine to sip some of his dog's. Also--poop bags! I've seen them at other parks. In fact, I'm pretty sure swift run has them, which is why I didn't bring any with me. Thankfully another nice pup parent gave me one when we needed one. Parking can be dicey but it's a lovely stroll through the park to get there. Also, after 5 PM you can park at Kellogg Eye Center which is just on the other side of the bridge. Not too bad! My pups love it and I love not having to drive far to get here so in general it's a winner. Just come prepared with water and baggies.

There does seem to be water stations as well but it's winter so haven't seen them in action. They have three pickup stations so you don't even have to bring your own bags which is extremely convenient. They're the good bags too - the ones you stick your whole hand in so there's no mess. The only downside (like much of the world) are the people that come sometimes. Some people don't pick up after their dogs for whatever reason even though there's no reason not to. Currently because it's been so cold there are several dog turds that are frozen to the ground. Hope it's better maintained in the warmer months.

It is a shame to see the park theater empty of any entertainment like it used to be. Make the price affordable or free to use, after all it is tax dollars that paid for it.

This…read morepond is one of the focal points for downtown and is adjacent to Main street and its restaurants and shops. Integral with this park you will find a very nice large children's play area with multiple wooden structures, Outdoor fire pit, Veterans memorial, and outdoor concert area. Overall it is a very nice and well thought park that really adds a lot to downtown Brighton and is a great example why this small city is so desirable and a destination spot for spending a day or nite downtown. One of my favorite things to do when visiting my son who lives downtown is to walk to Mill Pond with my grandkids, let them play at the park and end up eating lunch there and/or getting them ice cream. Makes for an excellent and memorable day!
